"I purchased a small tree from Nature Hills and received what looked like a slender walking stick. I planted it as per the directions and it took three weeks to yield about 5 leaves. After three months it is now dead and the leaves have wilted and fallen off. I contacted Nature Hills and was told that I could get 50% credit and would have to pay for shipping and handling for a replacement or something else. I was surprised to learn that they did fully stand behind their product. I was told that it would have been replaced if I purchased a warranty at the time of sale.

I have landscaped my entire property piecemeal throughout the years and have been planting trees and bushes on other properties for over thirty years. I have never received such poor customer service.

Of note I purchased three other similar items and planted and cared for them in the same manner with no problems.

"I ordered two Baptisia Australis plants (False Indigo) from nature Hills. They arrived in beautiful condition, and I have planted them in what I hope are suitable spots.

I've had good experience with three other plants of this type in the past, and they have always come through beautifully. Two have finished blooming by now, and the one with yellow-pink blooms is just about done blooming.

These new ones will hopefully be do9ng their thing for years to come.

"I am still waiting to hear back from the Nursery. I thought this would be a great wedding gift and lasting remembrance of their start in a new home. The Magnolia plant arrived to the recipient in pieces, damaged and all leaves off the tree in the bottom of the box. I found it very challenging to submit a request to get help. I have sent three request and pictures twice, through three different portals, the review response, customer support and direct email to company email. I received a response which asked me to send the pictures, which I had already sent twice. I am still waiting to hear back and it has been 10 days since I have heard from customer support. I also purchased the warranty. I am hopeful they will address the damaged condition and replace it or refund my money. This was my first time ever trying a nursery purchase by mail and this was my fear, what condition will the product be in. I will follow up with a review after this is resolved. I'm a little surprised at how long it has taken to get a response."

"I bought three weigelas. The plants were nice and in flower when they arrived. Two days later I found a bunch of dead bees near the plants in my yard. I called their customer service department and was told that all their plants are grown with neonicitinoids that kill bees, butterflies and other pollinators. The effects last up to two years. The only thing the rep told me to do was cover the plants. I have to keep covers on them for two years so bees won’t die. What is the point of having pretty flowering plants if they’re covered with white fabric? I’m really mad. I paid a lot for these and can’t even enjoy them. I had hoped to buy more plants from them but I won’t now until they certify that they don’t use neonicitinoids on any of their plants. And if they continue using this pesticide, I’ll never buy anything again. "

The bushes took a long time to be delivered, but I assume that was because of below 0 temps. No complaints on shipping. The only nursery that is unable to give you this information. Buyer beware. They could send you anything. The sales associate lacked any knowledge and laughed.
