"I bought 4 different plants (blueberry peach and pears) the pears were shipped with black fungus and they would not credit me anything
Terrible service do not buy from them
So sorry I chose this company over local "
"Two plants worth $150 total, both died. Wouldn’t even give me the 50% warranty credit on both (warranty is 1:1 plant). The warranty alone justifies looking elsewhere"
"They sold me several trees half of which survived.
The other tree has some type of fungus and I’m getting the information and chemicals to treat and resolve the issue with it.
When I contacted the company I realized that their warranty wasn’t worth anything.
Don’t expect much and you won’t be disappointed. "
"Ordered in March and have not received my Tree yet (June). they did not bother return my email"
"Like others have said, the shipping time is insane. I didn’t receive the 2 trees I ordered for almost a month. One arrived broken. I sent pictures and finally got a response from “Barry,” who is extremely condescending and takes no accountability whatsoever. It sounds very much like they plan to do nothing about the broken tree. Will not be ordering from them again. "
"Nature Hills Nursery web page states: ORDERS OR SHIPPED WITHIN 7 TO 10 DAYS AFTER BEING PLACED.
You can not get person on the phone after placing a order with Nature Hills Nursery. I waited ten days after I placed an order & still no shipping notice so I tried to contact them. You get a computer telling you they do not answer calls personally but you can leave a message with the auto messaging service they will contact you. This went on until it had been twenty two days with no shipping notice so I contacted the auto messaging service again stating I wanted to cancel the order now if the order was not ready to ship. They cancelled the order but they charged ME a restocking fee of ten percent. They said could use the restocking fee on my next order (really do they think I would order anything from them again). "
"They were great until i had an issue. Trying to get them to stand by their warranty is absolutely ridiculous. They keep giving me the run around, and are barely responsive. I have been constantly emailing now for months and still dont have a resolution. Honestly its not worth the headache. Theire prices are pretty high you would think that comes with good customer service. Dont bet on it. And dont rely on that warranty "
"Beware they charge you immediately, but won't ship until some distant point in the future. They have my money and I have nothing to show for it. Then they charge a restocking fee for something they never sent!
I placed an order April 6 to deliver a tree to Nebraska, within 20 miles off Nature Hills business address. After waiting 6 weeks, I cancelled the order. Lowe's, Home Depot, Menards, and all of the local nurseries have had trees for weeks yet Nature Hills still hadn't shipped."
"We ordered a tree 14 days ago and the website still says “processing”. They do not send update emails and the worst is that if we want to cancel, they keep 40% of our money!!! Why? Because they are slow and have poor communication? Why do we have to pay for their negligence?
I tried to cancel today and the man said “there’s nothing I can do because it’s ready to ship” but he can’t tell me when I should expect it, either. I feel like I’m being hold hostage. This should not be happening in the United States of America. Customer service and customer satisfaction should be Two important values this company should operate under. Stay away from them if you can find better options. "
"I had purchased a lilac twisted tree sapling last summer. It was two feet in height. Planted it and one morning found that the trunk had broken off with3” stump still in the ground. I had called and and sent them pictures. Their response was that it would remain very small. It didn’t grow at all and I’m not even sure it’s alive. They didn’t even offer to replace it. Other nurseries I have bought from would have offered to send a replacement. And have done so. I recently emailed them about how disappointed I am with their service and in good faith would not recommend their nursery to anyone. Still no response."
"Tried to order something from their website. No shipping time frame was clearly present. After I purchased the plants I found out that it ships out sometime during the spring no exact date (which for temperature and weather conditions I understand). I called to cancel immediately and was charged a 10% cancellation fee because of "all of the work it takes" to cancel my order. The representative said they have to relist the plants on the website and the time he has to spend on the phone talking to me... So rude and terrible experience! "
"I ordered the Trifeca Butterfly Bush. It arrived on time and was packaged very nice. Unfortunately that is where the quality stopped. The shrub looked dry and brittle upon opening. As the days passed the bush started dying. After a week in the ground the bush was dead. Nature Hills blew me off by saying "Per our horticulturist:
"Butterfly Bushes are woody perennials and as you grow them each and every spring, they should be cut down to about 6 inches or less before they start to grow. These are already growing, so leave them alone this year, but there is no concern about the woody stems from last year on this plant. They love the heat and should love a nice sunny and well drained location." They will not replace it or refund the price. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!"
"order three quarts, box NOT marked live plants, arrived not strapped down so they were tossed around in the box, by the time they were delivered, they were dried out and dying, contacted "Barry" and after sending many pictures I am getting the run round on "what they are going to do". These 3 QUARTS were $138.00, very expensive, they do not do refunds so BE VERY AWARE is you are ordering from them, they do not care as long as they have your money. "
"The olive tree arrived well packaged and in fine condition. It now has a new home in my orchard."
"My name is Joseph. I'm a real person and I ordered a summer red maple on Saturday September 21, 2019. I ordered a number one container. After doing some research I realized that a number one container would be a very small specimen. Obviously I could not to talk to a person being it was a Saturday. I then sent a email to nature hills. I got a response on Sunday from nature hills by a man named barry. We conversed via email and I told him I wanted a bigger container than the one I ordered. He then told me I had to wait till Tuesday for a lady named Charlotte to make ANOTHER order. Charlotte called me Tuesday morning September 24, 2019 and I placed the order for a number 5 container. This was the second transaction to nature hills. When I placed the order I was told the shipments go out on Monday. Charlotte then told me being that I made the original order on Saturday 21 she was going to try and back date the order for that day so that the tree I ordered would be sent out that week. She then told me worst case scenario I'd have to wait till the following Monday (sept30) for the tree to ship. She said I'd recieve a email to track the tree once it actually shipped. I did not get the email to track the tree or get the tree that first week. I called in and talked to berry on the 30th of September. I asked if the tree was shipped. He stated everything looked good and it would be on the way. I told him ok but that I had not received any email to track the tree. I then called back in on the 3rd of October 2019 because I still had not received a email to track the product. Charlotte then told me the tree was all prepped and pruned and was ready for shipping for the Monday coming up(7th). I then told her that this was kinda getting out of hand but I was still trying to be patient. Once again I called in to nature hills on October 7th being it was another Monday .Charlotte then said it was not shipped out again but that it was all prepped and pruned for shipping. I then said I was told that last week. I was obviously frustrated by now. She claimed that she had reached out to shipping and they had not got back. I then asked am I going to have to wait till following Monday again. Charlotte told me she was going to try and get a hold of shipping again and that she would call me back when she found out what's going on. I waited for a couple more days and still did not receive any email to track . Finally I called in on October 9th and talked to Barry. He acted like it was no big deal. Almost cocky like. He told me that nature hills don't tell you things like Charlotte told me. Calling me a liar in his own way. Made me feel like I was in the wrong for being upset with the whole situation in general. I ended up canceling my order that Wednesday October (9th). I asked if I could talk to a manager and I was transferred only to be hung up on. I called back in and talk to Charlotte and also cancelled the order with her. I told her how Barry basically called me a liar in so many words. Charlotte then said it was because of the hurricane that hit Florida. That was the reason why there was such a bad delay. I then said you should have disclosed this to me soon as I placed the order. I'd probably would have went another direction instead of placing the order. Its now the 23 of October and I still have not received my money back. Talk about dropping the buck. This was a total headache all together. I have ordered two tree's between then and now from a different company and had non of these problems. "
