"I placed an online order for a Canon 500D 58mm lens from NWV. The next day I received an e-mail from Sal that there was a problem with my order and that I needed to contact him. I also received a phone call. I returned his call and was told my item was backordered for 4-6 weeks. As he was sure this was a holiday purchase, he had looked for a replacement items and recommended a much better product, a 4 Piece 58mm Super Close up Lens set. He said the lens were "laser cut" and would provide the user a much better product than my initial order and he could ship it immediately. Since this was a gift I inquired whether it could be returned. He assured me that it could be returned within 21 days. Since the cost was only $$20 more than my initial purchase, I said "okay." Several days later, then lens arrived. The item was a Digital Concepts 4 Piece Close-up Macro Lens Set" item CL-58. No where on the box did it say it was "laser cut." I looked on NWV web site and they listed the item as a "Optics High Resolution 4 Piece Close-up Macro Lens Set (58mm)-- Laser Cut" with a list price of $269, and their price of $199. However, they sold me this product for $93. The only way I found the item on their web site was by searching for the manufacturer part "Cl-58." I called NWV to inquire about the product. Their rep told me that I could tell that it was "laser cut" but holding a lense up to a light and if I didn't see "red streaks" it was laser cut. He also inquired whether the box was yellow, which it was, and said the cheaper lens came in a black box. However, he assured me if I wanted to return the item I could do so within 21 days. After further online research I found this same product, CL-58, on numerous other web sites for $13.99 and no other web site listed it as anything other than what was on the box, a 4 Piece Close-up Macro Lens Set.I then called Digital Concepts (a/k/a Sakar) to see what I could find out. They told me I'd have to speak to someone in the Lens Dept and took my number and said someone would call me within 24 hours. My call was never returned. So, I requested a RMA from NWV only to find out that the item was not returnable even though their website says "Satisfaction Guaranteed" and stated their 21-day return policy. Apparently, buried in the 4th paragraph of the hyperlinked Policies, is a paragraph about what items they will not accept for return. They also told me the manufacturer's video showed the lens "being cut by a laser." I told them that 2 salespersons had told me I could return the item they had recommended. Then they told me that because it was a recommendation their policy was to allow returns and they would reimburse me 1/2 of the product cost up to $45 if the purchase was over $75. I said I wanted a full refund. I again called Digital Concepts. I was told to call back after 10 am becasue the lens dept was not open. I called back at 10 and was told that there was the dept was closed due to "unusual technical problems" and that if I left my number they would call me back within 48 hours. I asked for them to just fax or e-mail me a product description but was told that company policy prohibited that. I'd have to talk to the lens dept. Fed up, I contacted my credit card company and disputed the charge. My credit card company told me that when I submit the written documentation, include screen captures of the item as it was described on the NWV site as well as pictures of the item delivered, e-mails, etc. I'm awaiting the forms from my credit card company and will file with them the requested documentation. In the meantime, I received a RMA from NWV and they said they would issue a refund. I inquired whether it was a full refund. So far, I've not heard back. I've still not heard back from Digital Concepts. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. IN MY OPINION, THIS WAS A BAIT AND SWITCH SALE. I'd also encourage you not to purchase Digital Concept products as it also does not appear to be a reputable company. On 12/19, Alex from NWV called me. He'd read this review. He said apparently my problem was with Digital Concepts. I let him think whatever he wanted but my problem is with NWV. Alex said they'd agreed to refund my $93, the cost of the lense. I told him I'd received no such communication in response to my e-mail inquiring whether they were going to issue a partial or full refund. He asked me if it would satisfy me if they refunded the entire purchase price plus the shipping for a total of $101.50. I said "yes." He then asked if I would remove my [bad] review of their company. I told him I would update it to show that they agreed to refund the purchase price plus shipping. He thanked me. Even though this has apparently been resolved to my satisfaction, I'll still never do business with this company again and would encourage others not to do business with them. "

"Lowest price for a flash I was looking for via Google Shopping. Got a call four days later that the product was on back order from the manufactor. Estimated time was 4-6 weeks. Then they tried to sell me on an inferior DIGITAL CONCEPTS flash. Had no interest in that companies products. The only thing that leaves me happy = They actually called me me and all this didn't happen via email.
