" The order was placed and the next business day I received a call from a NWVD rep. He confirmned the mailing address and did not, at any time, try to sell additional accessories. The product arrived timely and was in new, perfect condition. Overall, I am very well pleased with having ordered from NWVD. Their low prices and competent handling of the order were A-1."

"Had a very mixed experience with NWV Direct. I ordered an Olympus C-4000 from them mainly because they had a low price and 5-stars on Pricegrabber. I also wanted a case and charger and ordered these at the same time. I ordered the camera, an Olympus leather case and a rapid charger with 1800mA batteries.

Their order processing and shipping were fast and I received the items within 3 business days -- they are in Brooklyn, NY and I am in Maryland. The expedited shipping was a waste for me since I don't think the items would have gotten to me any faster, but the option was only $4 and might be worth it for someone outside of the East Coast.

The camera is great and I am very pleased with it. However, the other two items that were sent were not what was ordered. I received a cheezy vinyl case rather than the Olympus case, despite asking directly for "the Olympus leather C-series case" when I ordered and being assured they had the item. The charger I received had 1600mA batteries, also not what I had ordered.

I contacted NWV Direct Customer Support and they agreed to replace the case and charger, although I had to ship the incorrect items back to them. The customer service folks were polite and reasonable when I spoke to them. After a day or two they informed me they couldn't find an Olympus case but could send a battery pack and charger, which they did. I am to receive a credit for the case.

I sent the incorrect items back to them via USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. USPS attempted to deliver prior to NWV Direct's normal business hours and, of course, no one was there to sign. However, NWV Direct never picked up the package or asked for redelivery, so it came back to me. I contacted the vendor yesterday and they gave me their UPS account number so that I could send the package via UPS and charge to their account (why they didn't offer this at first, I don't know).

The bottom line is this: I got the camera quickly -- it was new with a full warranty, not a refurbished unit as some other vendors were offering at similar prices. The accessories that came with the camera were not what I ordered and it has taken some time and cost me some extra $$ to get them exchanged. Would I use this outfit again? Probably, for specific brand items, but I would hesitate on accessories.

"Purchased a G3 camera; unit came w/o printed warranty card, but I was assured the 1 year USA warranty was included; company offered to take it back for inspection, but everything else was fine, so I kept it..good e-mail response from them with no hassles...would use the company again"

"My experience with NVW Direct was wonderful. I ordered a Canon G3 by phone from NWV Direct on Sunday. They told me I should receive it in ~8 business days. Camera was shipped on Tuesday and I had it on Friday (four business days later). It came in the original package with all items as expected including the USA warranty.
Of course they tried to sell me other stuff during the time I placed the order but I was expecting it. When I said no, the salesman accepted my refusal politely. I was expecting to receive a follow-up phone call or email in an additional attempt to sell me accessories but there was none .One nice thing was the email confirmation of the UPS shipment and delivery schedule. I watched the package movement over the course of a few days until the time it was delivered. I would definitely order from them in the future.
