"I made a purchase for a digital camcorder (pv-gs150) from this site against my better judgement. They emailed me back one day later stating that the item was out of stock, and that it had stated on their website that customer should call prior to making purchase. Not only is this false but there isn't even a number to contact their company. I want to cancel my order now but guess what they don't seem to reply to emails either, although they state on their customer service website that emails are returned within 1 buisness hour guarenteed. I think that I am just going to pay a little more from a company that actucally values customer service, and I can surely be taking a careful look at my credit card statement each month to check if they try to pull some funny buisness."
"I placed a $900.00+ order for a new camcorder on their web sight. A later email informed me that the product was not available and that it was stated on their sight that customers should call for availability on this particular product. A re-check of their sight revealed that there was no such statement, nor is there a contact phone number. I consider this behavior to be highly unethical."
"I am an experienced on-line shopper and have had a great experience with this firm. I put in an order 12/04/04 and the next day, sunday got a phone call to confirm my order and make sure the right material was shipped for the camera i had. The order was slightly wrong, but immediately corrected. I would clearly order here again."
"I purchased a $10,000.00 Sony plasma TV and purchased a $1,200.00 - 3yr warranty. My TV went out on Oct. 1, 2004 and the company refused to honor the warranty saying I did not have the warranty paper work (it was never sent). Henry Sanders, GM of "New World Video Direct" said, "I was ignorant for not thinking I should have some paper work in regards to the warranty". I do have the original invoice showing proof of purchase. This is unbelievable customer service with no help on their part, but to ridicule. I might add, Mr. Sanders laughed when I asked to speak with the owner and said he would never call me back. Please do not spend your money with this company."
"We had the same bad experience others had. They got my wife interested by advertising a low price on a SONY digital video camera, and then persuaded her to overpay for a bunch of accessories (filters, case, battery, charger, etc.). They told her that all would be SONY, but none of it was. They told it it was all the lowest price available, but it was about double what others were selling the same things for. They also told her they had firewire cables, but didn't. It all arrived, but when my wife gave it to me a couple of weeks later for Christmas, I saw that she'd been taken. When I called to tell them they had overcharged her and not delivered SONY equipment as promised, they refused to take any of it back, and said it was our problem. They also claimed that she knew the equipment wasn't SONY, so I checked the website and found they were still advertising the added equipment as SONY. Do not use these guys--they are bad players, deceptive, and abusive. Stay away unless you too want to become a victim. We've learned our lesson the hard way."
"They had the best price by far so I ordered on line. Then....nothing. No contact from the merchant at all. I did order on a long weekend so I expected to hear something on Tuesday. But I heard not a word. So I wrote e-mail after e-mail (they post no phone number). Despite their online promise to answer every e-mail within an hour ("guaranteed!")I never heard from them. I began to get nervous so I cancelled the order...then I heard from them. They acknowledged the cancelation. Then they sent me another e-mail after the fact asking why I was so impatient and it was a rather nasty letter. However they did write back and forth which a lot of other companies would not have bothered doing. I have no idea if they would have eventually matched the price but their customer service left much to be desired."
"Unlike many others listed here, I had an excellent and thoroughly professional experience with this vendor. I bought a Panasonic PV-DV953 camcorder, along with a battery and the filter package; all arrived exactly on time as promised, with full US warranty. Saved over $500 from going to a store nearby like Fry's Electronics (and before tax!). I talked to a guy named Charlie, who was very helpful and knowledgeable about the camera. Will definitely consider them for future purchases!"

"This company is a bunch of con artists and should be avoided at all costs. I purchased a Sony digital camera (which was a very good price), but they tried to sell me everything else under the sun. Additional lens, extended warranty, etc. Then, when it came to shipping, I was quoted $49 for overnight delivery even though website said it was $39. He explained that they use UPS this close to Christmas instead of USPS, so I agreed to pay $49. Then, when I got the invoice, I saw it was actually 2nd day air instead of overnight and that they also added some additional fees. Since the invoice was not broken down by line item but was rolled up into a "kit" price, I had to call to see where the additional fee came from. A 6% insurance fee. The actual cost via UPS for 2nd day air including insurance is $18.09, but they charged $86. What a bunch of lying con artists. I learned my lesson, but will never use this company again and will spread the word to others to beware as well."
