"They have a great store, EXCELLENT prices, and good quality products for the best prices online, hands down. However, they also have poor customer service. Their lines are almost always busy and frequently have high wait times. Additionally, they have no automated system to tell you how long the wait can be, which is very frustrating. MOST annoying, however, is their inability to communicate with each other, and to some degree their lack of concern for the customer and their lack of general knowledge since the lines are always so busy and they appear to be stretched beyond their capacities. One example: I called to place an order. I knew EXACTLY what I wanted, but I wanted to place it over the phone for convenience sake since I had a question too. I got through and the lady asked me to get online to place my order. I got off the phone and went to order it a few minutes later...and it was no longer in stock. Had she taken my order I would have been flying weeks ago, instead I am still waiting (1 month later) for my plane to come. I called back and said, "how long till it gets back in stock?" Answer: "um...I don't really know. The order manager [or whatever she said] doesn't release that information and there's no way for me to find out." 3 weeks later I call back AFTER SEEING THE ITEM BACK IN STOCK ONLINE. The lady says, "the item you want is not in stock." I say, "yes it is, I'm looking at it online now." She says, "oh let me check. [she then gets online]. Well I guess you are right, let me check the warehouse." "Well.... I don't know actually if the warehouse has it in stock. They can't tell." THEY HAVE THE WORST COMMUNICATION WITHIN THEIR BUSINESS THAT I HAVE EVER WITNESSED. Get your act TOGETHER NITROPLANES!!! On that note, YES I will order from them again.....but man am I annoyed. Patience is a virtue.....
On a side note: my friend recently ordered the EZ Hawk. It is a GREAT purchase. However, MAKE SURE YOU USE RODS OR POPSICKLE STICKS OR SOMETHING TO HOLD THE WINGS IN OR THEY WILL FALL OFF AND THE PLANE WILL BREAK ALL UP. (push the sharpened rods/sticks into the fuselage and wing from above to hold the wings to the fuselage). The pusher prop is great, as it is very unlikely to break during crashes. This is the MOST BEGINNER PLANE ON THEIR WEBSITE YOU WILL FIND. If you are a beginner, GET A TRAINER WITH A SEPARATE RADIO AND "BUDDY BOX" TO TRAIN YOU TO FLY. These are not toys!!!!!!! Even if the manufacturer says they can be flown by beginners, this is not true without an experienced modeler by your side. I have about 10 yrs. behind me in R/C planes and these are not toys. They will break. You must understand the dynamics of flight, controls, setup and repairs or you will complain about these planes later. "Very good plane, has some QC problems. Had to remove some foam off the wings to get them to fit. Glue is cheap did not hold. The battery did not have a way to hold it in place, came out of plane when flying did not endup so well!!! the fuselage was ripped in two. The canopy is held on with a magnate will not stay on. But over all strong plane, has plenty of power, and battery life. It would be an excellent plane if the problems where fixed. "

"The only thing nitro planes is good at is sending you crappy product fast. I went there reluctantly because the prices were so dramatically lower and I regret every cent of it. I now have spent more money on Junk planes then I would on one good plane that would have had none of these issues and gave me NONE of this headache. Please heed these reviews I did not and it cost me. The product is cheap Chinese made crap and regardless to their claims of customer support and tech support there is none. please do not buy from here you will be excited to fly the plane and you will spend hours getting it flight ready only to have some cheap product fail and ruin your whole day and potentially hurt someone. If i would have put the money towards a good plane I would be out enjoying it now and not ranting on the internet about this horrible company and the product they sell. I purchased a Dynam ep 400 and before the first flight I saw an issue with the stock battery placement and fastening technique. Not only is the battery placed in an open ended slot cut for it with weak Velcro but the open end of the slot is facing the front of the plane. The battery is basically on a slide held on by weak velcro and after one or two loops the batt falls out of the slot into the nose of the plane causing an automatic nose dive. this happened exactly the same way with both planes only the second time I flew the plane for a good 5 min more before it nose dove out of control because I upgraded the stock shotty Velcro. not only is this frustrating but dangerous, these are considered parkflyers and that is where I was flying it both times when it went out of control. I am an experienced pilot but there is nothing you can do when the plane malfunctions like this. After the first one, I did by another, and the experience with both have been the same and I have had no help from nitro planes which is more frustrating then the cheap plane. I wanted badly to like nitro planes and I gave them every chance now i will spend all my energy making sure everyone in the r/c world or looking to get into it does not get taken by these people. I challenged them to a live video test of their plane that I agreed to purchase so I could demonstrate this flaw but have got no reply yet and I am sure I will not. but I will be opening a BBB claim about their cheap product that malfunctions and they refuse to stand behind. I wouldn't be suprised if half these reviews were done by their employee internet implants saying "the product is so great!" And the other half probably did the review before the plane malfunctioned. If i could give them a negative rating under 0 I would, what they put you through with their planes and the runaround you get is not even close to worth it."

"I purchased 5 items (3 separate orders) through Nitroplanes. The first purchase through them was at the AMA show and which has a defective electronic component but they did nothing to help me out despite contacting their support. They said that purchases made through the AMA show was not supported but nowhere did they state this at the AMA show, otherwise, I would never have bought it from them. They probably stated this because their business did not pay business tax on this items since I purchased it with cash with no sales receipt. After filing a complaint with BBB, they finally sent me replacement part. On another order, I had 2 defective servos but they sent me the wrong servos. I cannot recommend Nitroplanes because of the lack of support that I've received."

"I ordered a P-51 with retracts from Nitro planes and was very impressed with the quick ship time and the quality of the model. It was a quick build, but the instruction sheet was a bit limited. Fortunately, there was a video of Tony from Nitro Planes building this model and it helped. The detail of the plane is great. I will be be looking to buy other planes from Nitro Model Planes."
"We recieved our order in good condition and in a timely matter. But we did not receive the owners manual. Consequently we did not know that it did not need the safety/starting button, or the power switch, and the battery that was packed in box we could not figure how to get it in the plane...so until we receive the owners manual we cannot have fun with our new investment.
This is hopefully going to be the beginning of a new hobby for my husband. This is the first investment we have made for his new hobby, and we were hoping that this would be an on going relationship with Nitro Planes. So far we are not impressed.
