"Tried to buy a printer for my kids computer. Dumb skinny black woman had no clue what she was doing. Took my business somewhere else. Avoid brandon fl location"
"I had put a online order for alcohol wipes on March 13th with a estimate delivery of March 20. Did not receive order. April 7 called to cancel order for not receiving. I was told they could not cancel the order that has been in process since March 13. Request has to be submitted special orders team for review. Received an email from a contractor of Office Depot saying there is a possibility that my order cannot be cancelled because the manufacturer as to approve my cancellation and issue me a refund. Is this Amazon or Office Depot? Then I went online last week to see if the product was available. It says in stock. Placed another order, same story again. The customer rep told me in her end it had zero in stock. If I don't receive my refunds then I will go file a complaint with the TXOAG and BBB. The refund policy or cancellation order policy from 3rd Party vendors is not listed. Shame on this company for robbing consumers during this pandemic."
"If you purchase from Office Depot or Office Max online, I suggest you not use PayPal. PayPal approved the transaction, Office Depot sent a message that it was not approved so I paid with my credit card. The PayPal amount is still pending showing approved and that Office Depot has not captured it. So, I am currently out double since both transactions have been removed from my accounts. I have been on the phone with Office Depot 4 times and PayPal twice. PayPal can't do anything with it because Office Depot has to cancel on their end and Office Depot claims they have no ability to do so. Complete waste of time and absolutely horrid customer service. Good way to ensure I shop at Amazon where this kind of ridiculous type of thing doesn't happen."
"The staff was very helpful! They made sure that I found the chair that I needed AND it was on sale!!"
"The stapler works well, but I did not realize when ordering that it requires "premium staples". Had i realized this, I would have looked for an electric stapler that uses "standard staples" that I use in other staplers in the office & home. I should have read the description more thoroughly.
Have always found in-store & telephone sales personnel very helpful."
"I visited OfficeMax/Depot in CrestHill, Illinois. I just want to recognize one of the associates who assisted me thru my entire visit there. Her name is Nia. Although the cost of the service I needed was merely a few cents, she truly made me feel like a valued customer. Being a manager in the hospitality industry for many many years, I can truly say that Good service is hard to come by nowadays. She was very knowledgeable, patient, helpful, kind and friendly, just to name a few of her great qualities. Too often good people go unnoticed and dont get the recognition they deserve. I would scoop her up in a minute to come and work for me. She is THE main reason I will keep going back to that location as Service has always been my number one priority. Keep up the good work Nia !"
"Corvallis, OR Office Max... *sigh*
I have no other option but to use this company for office supplies, or order online. So when I am in a crunch for supplies, I still have to use them. However, I am appauled by there in store staff. Every acting manager tells me come back tomorrow, and they cant help me. The general manager, didn't call me. She left work early on a Friday when her and I agreed on resolving this issue today because I have waited almost 20 days with no resolution.
I even have the support from the office depot customer service team. This was after chatting for almost 6 hours, and after all of that the team finally understood where the error was occurring, provided me documentation, and told me to go instore to resolve the issue and receive my refund payment!
Sounded great, until everyone instore at the Corvallis, OR location decided that they can't help me. Nor do they know what the heck is up and what way is down.. even after providing all of the customer service chat convo and receipts and approval from the online service team.
UGH!
"YOU ****" to all of the OFFICEMAX STAFF IN CORVALLIS, OR.

"I ordered online and never received the product. My coworker was informed via email the package would arrive 3 days later even though I was the contact person. Then a week after the package was supposed to arrive my coworker again not the contact person was sent another email saying they would not be delivering the product and our order was cancelled. About 2 and a half weeks after we were supposed to get the package I finally got online to see what the problem was. The package tracker indicated that the package had been delivered on the day it was supposed to be delivered. I checked in with customer service to see what had happened and that is when they agreed to do a refund. I was asked to review the ordering process I reviewed the ordering process and gave it a very bad score. This is when I received a phone call from some type of customer satisfaction department who did not offer any help. He just wanted to make sure that I understood it was not their fault. This is also when I was lied to about a third party delivery service not having the item to deliver. The first refund was not the entire amount. I had to go back to customer service to get the shipping and handling fee refunded separately. This is when I found out that Office Depot does their own deliveries out of their own warehouses. I have been in touch with multiple customer service representatives, who were all very nice, but mostly unable to help. Right now they are asking that I renew the order with them, out of the same warehouse, with the same delivery people, which is not stocked with the item I need. There have been many promises made on when I can expect updates that have been ignored by them. Not once during this entire process have I gotten one apology, instead I have been accused of not doing things correctly. "
"went into office depot in livonia mi to make a copy and sent a fax . i go to the copy machines ask the clerk how do i make a copy and he tells me to touch the screen. Then i have to put in a debit card for 1 lousy copy. i have cash I want 1 copy only . i am not there to learn the latest office equipment, and i resent being looked at with distain by lazy employees who don't have time to do the job. as i walked in the door all eyes were on me....... why because it was a ghostland in the store meaning empty. it is no wonder because i cant make a copy and leave and forget about a fax this is office depot's way of servicing the customer .You management people forgot more than 1/2 the population is over 50 in this counrty and you are set up for your convenience not ours .But your doors will close just like you predecessors ,because you are outrageously overpriced on everything . What a joke you made the simplest tasks hard. My favorite part of my experience is when i called customer service to complain ,the person i spoke with had a heavy indian accent and i could not understand a word he said. Ain't america great."
"I purchased on line forty Office Depot® Brand Letter And Legal File Tote, 18"L x 14 1/4"W x 10 7/8"H, Clear/Blue. Since the quantity was large I thought it made sense to purchase directly. The items were delivered very fast. One carton was missing which the driver delivered the next day. One of the items was damaged and I was told to bring it to my local store for exchange. I did today and in the process I learned the item is on sale for $10.00. I was charged $15.49 on line. I was credited $15.49 at the store and charged $10.00 for the replacement. I asked if I could be given the sales price for the other 39 units and was told no. Competitors would have given me credit for the sale price as this all occurred within days of each other. I have mixed feelings as the order was delivered promptly but to charge me full price when a sale is going on or was about to start is distasteful. "
"I have the worst experience every time I try and deal with Office Depot.
I'll start with they made me a new account back in July and decided to put the old work address on there instead of the one we've been at for over two years ago. Found that out in August when I did a huge $250 order that went completely across town. They change the address and say I will get it the next day. Guess what? It went BACK to the wrong address. I tell them I already talked to customer service and they had supposedly changed it to the correct one. Driver, who gets upset with me because of it, says "well i'll just send it back to the store". Okay, cool. Wait a couple days, still no order. Call again where I am informed they decided to just cancel it without telling me and refund me. So I reordered all the items again. Finally got it. Fast-forward from August to January: I look at bank statements, no refund. Call on Feb. 8, they say I'll be refunded and I get a reference number and all. Here we are March now, and they only refunded partial payment. So I called AGAIN and the woman sees it, says she doesn't know why, and I'll have the other $70 refunded soon.
Seriously. WHY HAS THIS BEEN SO DIFFICULT? From order to refund, it's been the biggest headache and I finally give up on Office Depot. Will pay more for less the headache somewhere else. "
"I recently purchased a large desk to be shipped to my home. The day before delivery I was contacted by Office Depot informing me that the item was lost and they would cancel my order and place a new one for me. I received a confirmation of the cancelled order, but still both orders ended up being delivered and I was charged twice. Now I have to take off work to have them pick up the large item that I never ordered in order to get a refund and they can't even offer a simple coupon."
"No communication about when the order will ship. Finally they responded with the date when the computer would be delivered. I find that it was not even shipped out on that date. Next, they cannot find the correct order number because the staff are so poorly trained they do not refer me to the correct department."
"I needed to furnish an office in one of my suites asap. I did not want to wait for 2 days through Amazon. I spent a lot of time searching local office supply stores online and found that Office Depot had the items I wanted. I checked the "in store availability" option online and found that the nearest store with all of the items that I needed was 30 miles away. I had to wait for nearly two days to have the time, moving truck, and staff to drive 30 miles and retrieve the items. It took us most of the morning to meet, get the truck, and drive 30 miles north. When we got to the store, literally, every item was out of stock and only had the floor item available, which we were told we could not purchase.
Let me break this down. 1) The website specifically stated the items were in the store which is inaccurate. 2) The floor models were out in the store, but there was no product which is misleading. 3) We were not able to purchase any floor models which is frustrating since it made the entire Office Depot production futile.
Additionally, the store clerk and manager were not helpful in any way. They looked irritated that we were in there (the store was completely empty).
Finally, the best part of this story is this: We called customer service to voice our complaint and the customer service representative offered to ship us the items for free and we would receive them in 7 to 10 business days! Seriously funny! Amazon does the same thing for free in TWO days! So, we spent two thousand dollars at Amazon and wrote an awful review on Google.
Office Depot will close down like a lot of other retailers because they are not keeping up with an online presence and they have deplorable customer service. Not to worry for those of you in customer service, though! I've heard Amazon treats their employees well"
"OFFICE DEPOT
I also want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN and not be DISCRIMINATED
My name is Rowland del Toro and I am a PERMANENT RESIDENT and the owner of a Security Systems Company in this great country of the USA. I have so much to thank for welcoming me as a son. Just today I try to apply for the credit card at the OFFICE DEPOT store located at 7240 SW 88th St Miami, Florida between 6 pm to 8 p.m. With the interest of buying a equipment that only and exclusively was in this place, for its characteristics and taking advantage of the geographical location very close to my house, I am directed to Denis Florestant, sales consultant and great person, to make the application, the which requests additional data, making from the store the call to the number of new personal accounts 1 ***-***-****, and talking to a FIRST REPRESENTATIVE confirms the approval of a credit of $ 1000.00 and assures me that I could make the purchase at the time , presenting only my identification card, then I refer to the aforementioned sales consultant, to proceed with the payment of the equipment, when he enters the data on his computer, none of these appear, so the FIRST MALTREAT AND A LIE is evidenced, I make a second call, this time the SECOND REPRESENTATIVE tells me that I must wait for 7 to 10 days and upon receiving the card I could then make the purchase. Why if my application was made from the store and my credit was approved and they are also confirming it, I can not make the purchase? Why are other people allowed to make the purchase immediately after their credit was approved? This is a clear example of DISCRIMINATION. There is no store in this country where you apply for a credit and being approved you have to wait 7 to 10 days to execute a purchase.
I request to speak with a Manager of the National Customer Service, his name James, from whom he expects a positive, logical response and his words were: IF YOU WANT CANCEL THE CREDIT REQUEST (Verify in the recordings the veracity of my words) An unethical response, against all commercial marketing and management policy.
DO I HAVE TO WAIT TO BE AN AMERICAN CITIZEN SO THAT MY RIGHTS ARE RESPECTED AS A CLIENT?
My thanks to Mr. Denis Florestant, the only worker of this company who made me feel like a customer, unlike the other aforementioned lacking in professionalism, knowledge, updating and that make OFFICE DEPOT look like a company full of mediocrity, lack of vision, incompetent, incoherent, anti-commercial and I hope that some of its managers will change my opinion, with a convincing answer.

OFFICE DEPOT
