Disappointed. Looks like we're FedEx customers from now on.

"I'll start by saying I have had decent luck in the past using Office Depot for my company's printing needs. We regularly used them for printing building construction documents (blueprints). The price was competitive, and service was generally reliable. This all changed on our last order.

I placed the order to print a plan set last Monday. That's a week ago today. I remember the order page saying we could expect it to be ready within a day or two. On Friday, I got a call from the store saying they did not have that size of paper, and they had to order it from another store and have it shipped to them. I told them on the phone we had an inspection on Monday (today), and we needed to have the plans on site. The person I was speaking with told me he would call and email when the plans were ready, but if it didn't look like it would be in time, they would fast-track it from another store. Within about an hour or so, we got an email saying the plans were ready for pick-up. I figured they must have arrived earlier than expected, and all was well.

Today we went in to pick up the plans. We were told they were not in the store, and they actually said, "I told you guys we would contact you when they were ready." Okay... Then why did we get an email they were ready? If they were ready that quickly, you wouldn't have to call. "Oh, that email was automatically generated by the system. It went out by mistake." Well, if that's the case, how come we weren't contacted to say the plans had not arrived, and we were getting them shipped from another store? They just admitted that they promised a call that we never got, but in their minds the whole situation was somehow our fault. Insane.

They at least tried to make it right by canceling the order and placing it at another store that actually had the paper. It was across town, so we sent someone to go pick it up. We were charged again for the print job, this time without the coupon code we originally used, so the cost was about $20 more. We sent someone to pick up the plans and deliver them to the site, so we could put this whole ordeal to bed.

When my partner showed up for his meeting to go over plans, we discovered that only the last 7 of 24 pages were printed. So not only did we get charged full price for plans that were ordered a week prior, the final print had less than 1/3 of the total pages.

By this point, we had enough. We called to get a refund. The person on the phone just said, "Give me the card number, and I'll refund it." Not even so much as an "I'm sorry."

The incompetence here is astounding, as is their apparent disdain for their customers. It seems like this lack of service is becoming more common these days, but I'm still amazed every time I encounter another example of it!

I ordered a desk from a local Office Depot and not all the boxes arrived.

"I ordered a Realspace® Magellan Performance 71"W L-Shape Corner Desk from my local store and when the assembly team showed up to do the assembly, they noticed not all the boxes where there. It has been an absolute nightmare trying to get Office Max to fulfill the order and schedule the assembly team to get back over here to finish the assembly. I will never purchase anything form Office Depot/Office Max again.
I may just have to cancel the order and go elsewhere. Seems they love making a sale, but taking care of the customer after fact is not a priority. Do not go to Office Max/Office Depot. Beware!

Terrible website and Service

"I don't know what happened to them. But they've lost me as a customer.
I ordered a $450 HP laptop online over May. Received it a week later. It was a lemon. Apparently, the ratings didn't load correctly on my phone. But they've had issues with their website since 2021...Items listed as in or out of stock when they're not. So I returned the lemon to my local store. A newer, older guy Mgr. (who was apparently training someone) couldn't seem to scan any of the simple barcodes on the shipping box OR the online receipt I'd brought with me. When I've never had any issues with returning even a printer before. He finally managed to print me a very small, odd looking 3x3 receipt, while stating the credit "may take" 7-10 days, because the warehouse was now handling all returns ... okay. It used to be 2-3 days. But processing can change.

Well, after 7 days, no refund. I called the store, who "didn't know how to help me" ... "sometimes it takes a few days" runaround, when I TOLD THEM it'd been 7. Something wasn't right, and I knew it. So I contacted the website HQ chat, who also gave me runaround. Now it's been 20 days with no refund. It finally took 2 complaints to the BBB, AND the company website, to get any legible response. It's NOW been 31 days, and emails back n forth with HQ, patiently waiting to see if I finally get my money refunded. I am so done with them, it ain't funny.

Doesn't disappoint!

"I bought cyberpower for the first time and I am so excited to get started and start gaming! My sons are so excited and I am worried I wont get any time on it for myself because of them. Definitely looks breathtaking when turned on and a talking piece for visitors. This was the easiest thing to set up. I am very unexperienced and am not good using technology and I was able to set this up real smooth and quick. Definitely a perfect first gamer kit because it came with the keyboard and mouse. Get it "

Extremely Poor Customer Service

"I went into my local store hoping to get 2 very simple, high definition, photo quality photocopies, as I had without an issue in years past, which took all of 10 minutes. Well, on this particular day, I was met with, "We no longer make specialty copies in-store while you wait. You need to download your project online and order it through the virtual printshop on our website." WHAT THE HELL??? I just wanted 2 photocopies! So I proceeded to order my project online, only to find that the pickup order was sent to another store, 6 hours away from me! Ugh! I called customer service and they told me they cannot do anything about it, and that I needed to resolve it on the store level. Needless to say, the store then advised to resolve it through customer service! So now I have no resolution, and am out the money I paid them! In addition, I am now unable to log into my account, as it says my info is not found! ZERO COMPETENCE AND ACCOUNTABILITY! I AM DONE WITH THIS UNSCRUPULOUS COMPANY! "

"Past experience reflected competitive pricing and a delivery system that met expectations. The most recent order indicated a 2 day expected delivery. 4 days in and no delivery. A call to customer service yielded a 'will be there in 2 days'. 2 days and no delivery; another call and I got a credit for my purchase and a 'we're not sure if it will be delivered. Would you like the address of the closest retail store TV that has your item?' Not sure what is happening with this once reliable retailer, but if failed customer service persists; they will dwindle to a 'once was'."

Worst company to deal with.

"I have placed my order on January 19, 2022, and it was supposed to be delivered on January 20, 2022. Order never arrived and I got the email from Office Depot that there were some issues with the delivery and when checked the tracking it says order was left on the dock.

January 21, 2022, there were no changes in the tracking and called the customers service, and from that point it was all hell. Representative has no authority to do anything but just read a written script, which was not helpful at all with my situation. I called back and spoke with another representative and asked that the office depot has the option of the same day delivery and if I am not charged for that delivery charges, I can reorder the item and that can be delivered the same day, but in order to do that I will have to cancel the current order. He gave me credit of $15.00 but was not able to cancel the order, and I was told that someone will call me with the updates within 24 hours.

I called the next day after 24 hours and the new representative informed me that its not 24 hours but 48 hours and that the order can not be cancelled until the 48 hours of the service ticket opened.

I did not receive any call and called back and this time the representative cancelled the order and I have to wait 7 business days for the money back. Also my item was $149.99 and the amount she processed is $129.00 and even after the initial credit of $15.00, I am getting less money back and office depot and there incompetence cost me money and waste of my time and stress.

Breaking Federal Trade Commission Regulations

"I ordered a hard drive Jan 7, 2022 that showed "In Stock" and when it processed the order it showed a delivery of February 10, 2022. FTC rules state 'By law, you must have a reasonable basis for stating that a product can be shipped within a certain time. If your advertising doesn't clearly and prominently state the shipment period, you must have a reasonable basis for believing that you can ship within 30 days." They are preventing me from obtaining a drive from another source even though I have asked them to cancel the order. Worst company ever."

lousy service

"I purchased paper on 10/6 for delivery to my residence on 10/8. The deliver person lied saying the business was closed when delivery was attempted. Because of this lack of service, I cancelled the order and ask that my money be refunded. Office Depot wants me to wait 7 to 10 days for a refund that they grabbed at the time I placed the order. This is a crappy way to do business."

Do not Order From them! Worst customer service !

"They used a 3rd part delivery company called Tforce or something like that. Order places 9/1. It was to be delivered 09/07/2021. e called to confirm, was told within 2 hrs. Sa around until 530pm, NOTHING came. Next day we called, they then decided connect to delivery company 3 way. Address was wrong, delivery company had said they would call 30 minutes before arriving- never did or they would have been corrected about the address. We were then told they would have the delivery service call to reschedule for Friday 9/9/21. No one called to showed. 09/13 checked status and saw last attempt made on 09/09! No one ever called or showed up with furniture! The service even confirmed on phone that no one called or attempted redelivery evidently. Then we called back office depot, after 2 long hold times- we were told wait for item reach back warehouse and credit to be given & then reorder. No Mngmnt or Supervisor was available and that was the best they could do! Really! Worse company experience EVER!"

Don't Order anything from Office Depot to Be Delivered. Never arrives.....

"I placed a order on 8/2/21 and it was suppose to be delivered by 8/4/21 and on 8/6/21 I still have yet to receive it. I had to go and get the supplies somewhere else. When I checked the tracking on the package it said they ran out of time. Never again....."

Pathetic customer service incompetence

"Office Depot shipped the wrong item after confirming my order and processing my payment. My shipping confirmation email did not match my confirmed order. I called customer service. The reps could not handle the problem even after lengthy periods of being placed on hold. Then got disconnected. I called again, asked for a supervisor. Put on hold, got cut off again. Received no return call even after providing number in case we were disconnected. Pathetic. Went online for live chat.
The website navigation was full of bugs and did not operate. If I could give a MINUS Ten Stars, I would. They wasted my time. Took my money and ruined my day.

Worst experience ever

"First off, I acknowledge that we are in a rough time where chip shortage is a serious issue for most companies.

After spending months trying to purchase a video card for my gaming computer, I finally was able to "purchase" one on the Office Depot website. After getting the GPU in my cart and going through the process of adding payment information, I got a confirmation of my order. Super exciting stuff. Except then, I realized that my order said that the product was on back order. I thought, boo, that ****, that's just my luck. After some research, I found that that's not just my luck at all. It seems as if there is an entire few web pages full of people complaining that they all have been waiting months in the same position after finally being able to get one in the cart and setting up payment information, finding that it states that it is in backorder. Not only that, most people have claimed that the moment that they contact Office Depot to figure out what's going on, they are told that the product has been discontinued and the order is canceled. After a day or two of consideration, I decided to put it to the test and ask customer service what is going on with my order. To no surprise, they did exactly what everyone said they would do, they said it was discontinued, and that they had to cancel my order. This is despicable. If it was a one-time thing, it would be understandable, but that's not what's happening here. Not only will I never go to another Office Depot again, I suggest that no one else does either. Apparently they find it more important to lie to cutomers to lock in future sales than to be honest with the lack of product all togerher. I have never been so upset with a bait and switch as I have waited months to get this moment of false hope.

Save yourself the heartache, don't even try to get a gpu with this company. Apparently they are discontinued (obvious lie), Just like the company should be.

Messed up my covid card

"I was pretty unhappy about the experience. I had just gotten my covid vaccination shots and wanted to get my card laminated. I come to this Office Depot (3535 Hollis Street, Emeryville, CA) and asked nicely for lamination. The man immediately said to sign a consent of release form so you can’t hold them liable, and then he took the card; when he came back the card was laminated but the information from my first shot (which was placed on the card with a sticker instead of manual handwriting) was completely black. He said to me oh, the heat from the lamination caused it to go black ... here you go. Because of my incident, I told family and friends not to get their cards laminated if they have information on stickers, but it was too late; they already went given that I’m the first person to share this news with them that Office Depot offers free covid card lamination. I found out from talking to my family and friends that their stores 1. did not make them sign any consent form and 2. the associates were kind enough to tell them to take photos of their cards before hand AS WELL AS made them free copies of front and back of their covid cards, and 3. PLUS (note this) my uncle who had both dose information on stickers came out with PERFECT lamination of his covid card from his Office Depot. Mine was ruined. I hope this shows you the service. I am still very angry. "
