"Short Version - Stay away from them. I ordered a 500GB Toshiba drive. They sent a confirmation and charged my card. Three days later they sent a e-mail saying it was a price mistake and they were not required to honor it. Hundreds of people had the same situation occur.
Wise up OfficeMax,you lost a lot of good customers. If you made a mistake than you should bear the burden and honor it. In the long run you would have gained a lot of good will. Makes you wonder what kind of short sighted upper management they have!

"They offered a great deal with different pricing on two different sized disk drives and then claimed that the different sale pricing on the two different drives were "typographical errors", Such an explanation is completely disingenuous.
If there were no intent of a sale, why would both disk drives be discounted to different prices?

"This is the second year in a row that Office Max has duped me into putting money down on a product. I too ordered a few hard drives from Office Max and my credit card was authorized without shipment of the product. The same thing happened last year when I ordered Seagate hard drives at a nice price. After two days, my order was canceled and Office Max apologized in the same fashion as they did last year. I will never order anything from Office Max again because I am sick and tired of their bait and switch tactics. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. "

I'll go back to avoiding OfficeMax since it seems the only time they have anything worth ordering is either a "pricing error" or a creative form of bait and switch. "

"Beware of Bait and switch! Lure you in with low prices then cancelled the order 3 days later. They first claimed that the item will take a little longer to ship because it was comming from a different warehouse, then it was backordered, then it was out of stock, then it was backordered, then they just cancelled stating that it was a price mistake but available at a higher price!"

"I order items from this website on 11/22/09 and received a confirmation email same day. Two days later I received another email cancel the entire order due to their pricing error on one item inside the whole order. It's a total waste of my time."
"they have worst customer service department, not getting ordered printer for 2 month and no one has any clue when i am going get my item, they are doing business on internet and they dont have way to reflect order status online, customer representative told me that order status will not get reflected on web site i need to call them wait for 1 hr which usually take because they have big queue of unsatisfied customer just to find out what happen to my order, they gave me date of my shipment for 3 times when they didnt have item in hand or clue are they getting it or not,they dont enter any information in the system so when you call next time you have to start from begining about your complain.
