"I ordered school uniform items for both my children on July 31st, using my Old Navy card and chose the free shipping option. I received a confirmation email right away and shipping notification on August 2nd but didn't receive my merchandise until the 12th... Odd, don't you think? The showed it was shipping USPS with a transfer to FedEx for delivery to me. Why two different services to deliver a package and what on earch could take 10 days for delivery? Thankfully I ordered in plenty of time but I agree with others - they need to get their act together for shipping time. They are a big enough company to figure it out and shave 4-5 days of their extended delivery times. Other that that gripe, the prices are always good and it's nice to be able to return items to the store if they don't fit. Of course, I'll keep shopping there. "

"I've ordered from Old Navy numerous times and have had good experience. They're return process is great, especially since you can take them into a local OldNavy (since sometimes online selection and prices are better). They also honor sale prices and will credit you the difference if something you ordered went on sale. Only complaint is I do find some of their clothes insanely thin - but the prices are fair and they have good customer service. What more do you want?"

"After placing an order at Old Navy a week back and having the order canceled a couple days later, instead of getting a shipping notice, I thought it was a fluke. Now a week later when I am placing an order for the Downieville jacket on Athleta.com in size M, they are sending me the same message after waiting two days that my order is no longer available and they have to cancel. They were generous enough to offer me my 10% off coupon from their previous screw up, so basically no discount this time. Plus they had more jackets in another color, I asked for an even exchange, but then they told me that those were not the sale colors. That is too bad! Other companies have allowed me to replace non-sale items with sale items if it was their error. This is the holiday season and people are counting on their orders to be fulfilled. This is really pathetic that such a large company has such horrible customer service. I will never buy anything online again and I hope it is worth them saving the $58 dollar price difference on the coat, which I am sure will go on sale eventually anyways."

"First, I ordered on 11/27/11and while I was informed on the website that "free shipping" orders can take up to 5 days to process and 7-10 days to deliver. Their system shows a promise date of 12/9 which is 12 days to deliver. However, this date was never given to me in any sort of email confirmation or on the current order status page, but when I spoke with a CSR. It is always helpful for customers to know when their order will arrive.

Second, I called and spoke with Jill because I wanted to cancel my order since it will not arrive in the time promised. I was informed they can only cancel an order for about 5 minutes after the order has been entered. I understand that I cannot change an order once entered. I work for an e-tailer as well and I am very familiar with these procedures and highly automated systems. However, they obviously do not have a highly automated system because my order from Sunday would have shipped already. There is absolutely no reason they cannot click on the void button to close an order. Even if the order has been picked and makes its way to invoicing, the invoicer will see the order has been voided and will simply put it back. This is the kind of service we give and I expect from any company. They didnt ship my order in a timely manner as such I wish to cancel it. Jill told me she can have FedEx re-route it back after it ships. FedEx is also our carrier and I know from years of experience that FedEx will not guarantee an intercept. Again, the simple fact that I cannot cancel an order before it ships because of the extended "process time" due to holiday volume is absolutely ridiculous. Furthermore, I will have to pay shipping to get the package to you. Jill said she will note my file to not charge a return fee, but FedEx doesn't ship for free. I should absolutely be able to cancel an order before it ships!
Rest assured I will never order again. I am just shocked that a company this large would have such disregard customers. Jill was great. She totally agreed with me and said she wished she could do more, but her hands are tied. Tied because of their poor policies.

"Beware of the Old Navy Voucher or Coupon redeem trap. This is ridiculous. Old Navy is not anymore the same enjoyable shopping place, what it used to be once. With today’s economy Old Navy is trying its best to trap customers with a new psychological technique in the shape of discounted voucher or coupon which it says to redeem this coupon or voucher spend $60 or more for a $30 coupon or voucher. If it happened to me I guess it can happen to anyone who is not paying attention or being too naive customer on which Old Navy thrives on through their cashiers how to get the customer for the next Old Navy shopping list by providing them a $30 voucher or coupon as a piece of cake. My mistake is when I get to redeem my $30 voucher I did not pay attention to special instruction “To Redeem, Spend $60 or More in the Store”. So I have to spend useless $60 without taxes In order to redeem this $30 voucher. This is a very clever and shrewd business move. Warnings to customers avoid any discount in Old Navy just for the sake of a coupon or voucher. You might end up trapped the way I got trapped. You cannot redeem the coupon without shopping the double value of the coupon or voucher. This coupon and voucher is nothing but a trap. In the end I opted to forget redeeming this $30 coupon and cast it to my dustbin. Old Navy prices are already over priced with the exception of some cheap stuff but still Old Navy is making huge profit. The shirts that sell $9.50 total cost on these shirts are not more than $3. I know this because many of my friends are in the same business buying cheap stuff from India, China and Bangladesh and supplying to the chain corporations. Just be watchful when it comes to price tag and how much discount you are given and what psychological piece of cheese is given to you. Old Navy quality both in products and services is in decline. After all cashiers are well trained how to get the customers in different situations and coupons are one of them which are not easily redeem. This incident happened at Old Navy at 13605 South Dixie Highway, Miami, Fl 33176. I felt imperative to warn other Old Navy customers to avoid getting trapped by any amount redeemed vouchers or coupons. "

"I have been shopping at Old Navy for a year now, buying clothes for my daughters. Today was the first time I tried to use our Reward Bucks for Old Navy. When the promotions are going on,in-store consumers need to be very aware of price variances online VS in store. THE SALE PRICES ARE NOT THE SAME; especially when an "extra bucks" promotion is going on. One might be better scrapping the reward bucks and shopping online. We went in to buy 2 pairs of boots. The in store price was $20 each. We went online to check prices and found that the online price was just $15 each. We showed the store manager the online price verses his in store price. He couldn't "match" the online price because of the reward bucks promotion. WE walked away because we had to spend more $ in the store to validate the voucher. With a reward buck voucher you may get $ off of in store purchases but the online sale is actually better price (especially when Old Navy offers free shipping). The reward bucks are ridiculous because one has to spend X amount of dollars to save $20 or so on the entire purchase. CONSUMERS BEWARE. Their gimmick is BUY more SAVE more IN STORE ONLY. Please pay attention and don't get scammed by the reward BUCKS. CHECK ONLINE PRICES FIRST if it's absolutely something you have to have from Old Navy. I will be going elsewhere to do our clothes shopping. Spread the news about the reward bucks......Good Luck."

"I've bought from Old Navy plenty of times over the years with so, so results. The only reason I've remained loyal at all is because I purchased my favorite coat there once years ago. I just wish they would get some consistency with their sizing. I've bought coats in size medium that were too small, so I get a different coat in size large and I'm swimming in it.

The last time I ordered from them was when they sent me a "Cyber Monday" coupon for 30% off. I put that in quotes because Cyber Monday occurs after Thanksgiving and this was before. Three days later I received a Black Friday coupon for 50%. I asked if they would honor the second coupon and apply it to my order and I didn't even receive a response from customer service. JCPenney has a policy to apply the larger coupon if you contact them within a certain time.

I might continue to buy from them in the future, but they won't be my first pick.
