"I placed an order with Oldies.com on 7/21/14 and did not receive it until 8/7/14 (18 days later), and that was after placing multiple calls to the company to find out what was taking so long. Each time I called I got a different story. I eventually ended up speaking with an utterly useless supervisor named Tim on 8/1/14. He basically told me there was nothing he could do about it, and if I wasn't happy I could call back another time and talk to someone else. (What was he even there for?) I told him I was going to leave a bad review for the company and he basically told me "do what you have to do." He couldn't care less whether or not I was a satisfied customer and did nothing to resolve the problem. He told me someone would call me back, but nobody ever did. Also, when I first placed the order I was overcharged on the shipping and had to deal with that. They did adjust the shipping charge, but it was a pain having to call about it. Incompetent/indifferent customer service reps, being overcharged + slow shipping time = a terrible experience and I will not order from this company ever again.
Update: Dennis, the head of customer service at Oldies.com, called me the day after this bad review was posted and apologized. I reiterated my complaints to him about the slow shipping time and poor treatment by customer service reps there and he said he was sorry for the experience I had and gave me the number of another rep there who he said would handle things for me in the future. However, there won't be a future with Oldies.com. It took a bad review appearing online for them to bother reaching out to me and Dennis offered me nothing for my troubles or as an incentive to shop there again. Words are meaningless without something to back them up, and "sorry" will only get you so far."

Credit card charged for full amount; then refund for items not shipped comes 3 days later. This is contradiction to their stated policy that your credit card is only charged for the amount of items shipped, when they ship.
Overall, not terrible, but room for improvement."
"I've been a customer of OLDIES.com since the early 1990's (when they were Nina's Discount Oldies). Love their catalogs, and I'm glad to see them in my mailbox every few weeks -- no one else mails anything even close to it. Good prices, great selection. I used to buy a lot of vinyl records from them, but now most of my purchases are classic TV shows on DVD. Highly recommended!"
"It used to be that oldies.com offered good service and wouldn't give you any problems. Well, that was then and this is now. On March 14, 2014 I mailed in an order with my check for 3 DVDs. When the package arrived on March 25th, one $5.98 DVD was no longer available, so they gave me a credit of $4.98. What the??? If you loaned someone X number of dollars, you'd expect them to pay you back the full amount, not X minus whatever they felt like holding onto, right? I made a phone call, got them straightened out on the amount and was told my refund check would arrive in two weeks. On April 14th, I made another call to find out why the check hadn't arrived and a different customer service person told me that the first person shouldn't have told me it would only take two weeks. Today (5-6-2014), oldies.com's latest catalog arrived in the snail mailbox, but not the check. I made phone call number three and was told the $5.98 check had cleared their accounting, had been mailed out April 24th and that the case was closed. If the check hasn't arrived in two more weeks, I'll make my final call to oldies.com. I'll tell them to keep the $5.98 and to remove me from their mailing list. If they want to lose a customer who's been buying from them for a good five years or more for a lousy $5.98, it just proves what a lousy company they have become.

"Oldies has a great selection,but its international shipping costs are ridiculous. I live in Canada and my last order cost me almost as much in shipping as it did for the items purchased. I tried to lower the shipping costs by placing an especially large order only to find that when the order arrived the main item was missing. I was not charged for the item, but it made the cost of receiving the remaining items quite excessive. This was especially annoying as I was able to find the identical item at PBS for the same price with no charge for shipping to Canada at all. "
"First let me say, ive never had a big problem with this company, But in the last 6 months, its gone down, dvds ordered are off spindle, which means they are scratched, even though I have not taken off the shrinkwrap, you can hear them raddling around in side the sealed case, Wrong items sent, Takes approx. 2 weeks to ship after you place a order, & ; they use MEDIA MAIL, Which takes approx. another 7-12 Business Days to receive, Customer service is useless, Ive been waiting for a refund of items I had to send back, They received the items 02/04/2014 & today is 03/10/2014 and still no refund, Cant get anyone in the dept that handles returns & refunds to return any of my calls, Voice Mail is always on...Go to ebay where they are also selling, they have a bunch of negatives in a short time, WITH ONLY A 99 AVERAGE FEEDBACK, All for the same reasons I have listed and more, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY DONT CARE !!!!!"
"Oldies.com customer service is utterly incompetent.Did not inform of "media mail"which I am familiar with.Did not process order for 7 days after order was placed.Called to see when order would arrive was told 2 wks with media mail..when asked if order had sahipped yet, was told "couldn't tell,no tracking #". As it turns out, order got shipped 3 days after that. I could have upgraded shipping 3 days prior. I WOULD HAVE UPGRADED SHIPPING IF I WAS TOLD ORIGINALLY THAT IT WOULD SHIP MEDIA MAIL ! "This is the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. I talked to numerous people who had no idea what was going on with my order, or why I was receiving calls from them. I had to ARGUE with one of the customer service reps to put a manager on the phone. I placed an order on 11/23 and for weeks it sat there, and then MAGICALLY once I started complaining,my card gets charged and my item shipped. I spoke with a manager who said The office manager, Dennis, could cancel my order, but that clearly wasn't done as I came home to a shipping notification today (which now says I may get this item - which is a Christmas present - after the holiday!). This is the worst company I've ever dealt with. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!"
