I’d give them a zero.

"I’d like to give this company a zero rating . I ordered a product they charged me for. I never received it. When I called to follow up they said the product was not available and when I asked why, there was no explanation. I got upset and demanded to understand why they would charge me for something they did not have and failed to contact me to explain the situation and address it. I was hung up on twice. These people are thieves."

Very serious flaws mar a business for serious music and movie lovers!

"I hate having to write such a brutal review, because I truly want to love Oldies.com-- but there are just too many serious problems with this website and with the operation of the business overall. I am a serious music and movie lover-- and at first glance, this business seems virtually tailored to people like me. There is a huge selection (in theory, that is!!) of great items on the website. However, and this is crucial to know, for people preparing to order here-- the stock shown on the website is, in my experience, often extremely unreliable. Just because a particular item is shown as being in stock when you place your order, that is NO guarantee, at all, that you will actually GET that item.

Also, the processing and shipping time for orders is much slower than what I have encountered from most other websites. Right now, an order that I placed, over four days ago, is still in processing, and no one in customer service is able to tell me when it may or may not ship, or if I will even actually get all of the items in the order! When I placed the order, via Paypal (meaning, the money for the entire order went out of my account upfront, as soon as I placed it), one of the CDs was shown on the website as still having 4 in stock. Now, apparently, there are none in stock-- and my order is still processing, and no one at Oldies.com can tell me whether or not my order will actually contain this CD when it finally ships and arrives at my apartment! Seriously, consider that: I paid for this order, upfront, and I literally don't even know what I will, or will not, get until I open the package, whenever it finally arrives! This is simply not acceptable for an online business in 2018.

Last but not least, other Oldies.com customers, apparently, have had good packing for their orders, but that has almost never been the case for me. Since 2015, I have placed many orders here-- each time, giving the site yet "one more try!"-- and too often, the packages have arrived packed carelessly with one or more damaged CDs. If Oldies.com does not improve, in many ways, and quickly, I will, very soon, be a former customer.

Customer is evidently wrong

"I order several items from Oldies.com. My primary items were 7 soaps. I received the wrong product and sent a picture of my receipt. My receipt showed my order of the correct product. The customer service rep argued with me and told me that I had ordered the wrong item. My receipt was not sufficient proof for him and over and over he told me that I ordered the incorrect item. How then did I end up with a receipt showing the correct item? They would not send the correct item until I returned the incorrect item and seeing as its only 5 days until Christmas, I will not be able to get the item that I ordered. Customer service was rude and condescending."

Sent Order To Wrong address

"First, they sent a charge for one amount (I receive notifications from the credit card) & then a second charge for a different amount--forcing me to call. They were unable to explain--they just guessed. During this call, I clarified my delivery address; which was correct on the purchase order. They managed to send it to my PO box instead; meaning I had to stand in line & wait. All their fault. I sent an inquiry as to why this happened--they don't feel compelled to answer. I do not plan to order again.

Added: After allowing ample time to hear from them, I removed my account from oldies.com permanently. Customer service is obviously a very low priority with them.

Slow as molasses and terrible customer service

"Cancelled my order two weeks after I purchased from them because the item "wasn't in stock". Upon seeing it still in stock on their website I called customer service and discovered that the real reason was that they wouldn't honor their sale pricing. Customer service was supremely unhelpful and unwilling to make it right. "

"I am severely displeased with the service I have received from Oldies.com!

I placed an order for a blanket on the 17th of December. Having received an emailed receipt, I believed the transaction was complete. I had paid the 33.06 and my bank account was evened out. So I began the wait for the blanket to arrive.

However, two days later, I received an email stating that there was a problem with my order. I checked my bank, the 33.06 had been returned to my account. I cancelled the initial order and decided to try again. I did so, but this time the money wasn't taken out for THREE WHOLE DAYS. I called and talked to a very rude representative who told me that the money would be taken out. I checked my bank and sure enough, 33.06 was taken out of my account for the blanket. I thought that would be the end of it.

Sadly, on the 30th of December nearly TWO WEEKS after the first initial attempt at ordering, another 33.06 was taken from my account! I called to inquire about this problem and got yet another very rude, very disrespectful representative who told me that it wasn't his problem. I told him to transfer me to someone who could help, so he transferred me to the accounting department. They didn't answer, instead I got a voicemail box. I left a message and never received a call back. I understand that it's the holidays, but December 30th is generally a working day. It was very early in the day, I should have at least gotten a call back.

I will NEVER order from this website ever again. The service is terrible. Money will be taken and given back at random, and even more money will be taken for no particular reason. Want something cool and retro? Go find it somewhere else. ANYWHERE else will at least treat you with some sort of decency and respect. Not to mention, they won't screw around with your bank account.

"I placed an order November 22nd, 2015, a month before Christmas, for a $90 book called The BMW Book which their website claimed was in stock and available with 4-12 day shipping.

Around the first week of December, I realized my order was still processing. I sent customer service an email. A few days later I received a response saying that they were forwarding my concerns to a supervisor. This supervisor never got back to me, so I sent another follow-up email. This went unanswered.

On a Sunday I called customer service and talked with a Jenn. She was nice but no help since "The warehouse is closed on weekends" and she couldn't check. Empower your service reps. This is obviously an organizational issue. I like to think I am actually pleasant on the phone. I do not yell, or speak sternly, or make demands, just, no one was willing to help me.

I called back the next day and talked with Bernie. He was also very well meaning and apologetic, but no one was offering any real answers. He said he had to check with a supervisor about my order and he would call me back. When he did call me back, he was very apologetic but still had no answers for me other than to call back tomorrow and talk with a supervisor in the morning.

A few hours later, realizing I now have SEVEN days to get a present instead of a month and a half, I called back requesting a refund from Todd who told me the item was indeed out of stock. DON'T PUT SOMETHING FOR SALE ON YOUR SITE IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT. Or at least contact me Nov. 24th to tell me this. Upon requesting a refund, I was informed that he could not do PayPal refunds and I would have to call back the next day to talk with Dennis, the ultimate supervisor who can handle paypal returns. He seemed unmoved like this was common practice.

I am upset. They offered nothing in addition to keep me as a customer, and their apologies were dry. A month ago a few other places had this book in stock, now nobody does and I'm stuck without a Christmas gift for this guy I really wanted to charm.

This company lacks organizational structure, refuses to empower their customer service reps to actually help, and practices shady business practices (listing items as in stock, when they are actually not).

Avoid like the plague. They still have my money. Thankfully paypal should be able to back me.

Nature of Complaint: Delivery Issues - The non-delivery of products
Problem: on November 3rd i called this company and ordered $88.66 worth of videos. This is the 5th or 6th time i have ordered from this company and all previous times the orders were shipped about 1 week later and i received the order correctly etc. BUT THIS ORDER HAS STILL NOT SHIPPED ALMOST 6 WEEKS LATER. I have called this company about 4-5 times, sent them an email via their website, spoken to the order taker people on the phone and every time they said they would look into it and cannot understand why my order has not shipped. Finally on Monday December 2nd I called again and asked to speak to manager, and a BERNIE got on the phone said he would look into the problem, they have busy (which does not match what the order takers were saying) pulled up my order list of videos, said he doesn't see what the problem is, most of the videos are in house and he would call me back, i suggested instead sending me an email and BERNIE actually said something like "OK I WILL SHOOT YOU AN EMAIL". holy cow batman after looking at the videos i ordered (soldier documentaries, action movies, police cartoons, martial arts, japanese gangster flix) for somebody to actually say he will "shoot me" an email is in my opinion completely inappropriate if not actually threatening. anyway that was Monday 2 days ago, i still haven't gotten an email from Bernie, and i called my visa credit card today, this company still has not billed my credit card. I suppose i could wait another week and call them again but why bother ? I have already called these people 4-5 times and nothing has happened. I asked if the videos were out of stock or they needed some kind of age-verification (I'm 54 old geezer etc). Why won't they fulfill and ship my order even after me calling them 4-5 times ?

Desired Outcome: I would definitely prefer that this company ship me these videos because again i have already ordered from them several times and their selection of videos is very good and they also send very good advertising but if those clowns don't want to ship this order because they are somehow making some kind of "political statement" about me ordering soldier & police videos (see current news events) well that is there problem for sure and i will definitely NEVER ORDER FROM THESE CLOWNS AGAIN AND MAKE SURE I SPEND THE NEXT 6 MONTHS COMPLAINING ABOUT THEIR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE ON AS MANY INTERNET BLOGS AND FORUMS AS I CAN. i'm guessing i can do at least $10,000 worth of damage to their reputation. but really this is a total waste of my limited time mostly likely i will just order from AMAZON which generally has the same videos.

"I Placed a $50 order on November 12th, 2014 and have waited weeks. I checked back today (December 3rd, 2014) on my order only to find that it is STILL being processed and has not even shipped yet. When I called customer service, I was told that they would just "check with the warehouse," and that I need to "check back on Friday." This is aggravating...1 star for now. hopefully my package gets here at all...then MAYBE I'll give them one extra star."

"After reading reviews on this site, I was very vary of ordering from Oldies. The item I found on their site (Subspecies classic t-shirt) was (and still is) out of stock on the site of the company that designed/printed the shirts (Full Moon Direct).

So, I placed my order half expecting to receive an e-mail from Oldies stating they could no procure the shirt. I was kind of surprised when I received an e-mail the next day stating that my order had been shipped.

Oldies is in PA and I am in OH. They shipped using FedEx smart-something or other. Basically the same budget shipping option UPS has - FedEx/UPS does the bulk of the work and then when the package gets to the destination city, it is handed off to USPS. I actually prefer this to straight up FedEx/UPS as I live in a secure building and FedEx/UPS can't get in, resulting in having to go pick your package up or them leaving it in the lobby and your package being stolen. I live in a college area, this happens all. the. time. USPS can get in the building and our postman will drop a package right at your door.

My order shipped on October 21st and I received it today, October 24th. Not bad at all as the time estimate given by Oldies was between October 25th and November 11th. I needed this shirt for a halloween party I'm attending tomorrow out of state and it arrived just in the nick of time.

All in all, I'm very impressed with Oldies. They stocked an item available no where else online, priced properly and delivered promptly. I doubt I will ever use Oldies again but for my purposes, they did a great job.

"I too am very unhappy with oldies.com. I purchased five dvds on 8/18, and should have gotten free shipping for being a new customer. The shipping didnt come off my order. Customer service told me to place the order and then they would take off the shipping. According to my invoice online the shipping was never modified, but i'm not really sure what they did because the first held the order for ten days. Seems some of my items were back ordered, which no one bothered to tell me. The order finally comes and its only three out fo five of the dvds. Seem some differed dvds were back ordered. i called customer service again today for the third time and when I asked about my back order she said in a very amused voice "nope you wont be getting those." I have never heard of people being happy not to sell me something. I then said to her I needed them for a class and will buy them somewhere else. She sounded thrilled. I will never order from oldies.com again. At least with prime I get free shipping on amazon all the time and if something is back ordered they let me know. Oldies may have a large selection but what good is it if they cant deliver and cant be bothered even informing you that things are not arriving."
