"For years, I loved Omaha Steaks. Never any problems. However the last two orders (in 3 month time frame) was messed up. They would list the correct item on the packing list but ship something else.
Upon calling, they would ship the correct item but nor in a timely fashion. I can only guess Omaha Steaks is following the example of many places today by getting rid of long time, knowledgeable employees and replacing them with younger ones in order to save a buck. "
"My wife & I have been clients of Omaha Steaks for many, many years. We made many purchases all year long but this holiday season we made so many purchases that we received multiple reward certificates with no conditions or restrictions stated on the papers except for expiration dates. We saved our rewards to use at one time to purchase one large order but when we did, we were told we needed to spend a minimum of $79 before we can use our rewards. This is stated nowhere on the reward certificates. Our representative tried to put through our order but said it would not go through unless we spent $79 first. This is obviously an out & out scam to get you to spend a lot of money in order to get a reward which you can't use as a reward. We fully expect to have this straightened out with Omaha Steaks in order for us to use our rewards without having to spend extra money in order to use them. We have $105 worth of reward certificates that Omaha Steaks is not honoring. I will be happy to email copies of these certificates if need be. Another main point to be of concern is that we are only one of probably hundreds of thousands of Omaha Steak clients that are being cheated in the same manner. This is a scam that is making Omaha Steaks hundreds of thousands of dollars by offering people rewards for purchases made but not honoring these rewards. I know this for a fact since I have spoken to other people who thought they had an Omaha Steaks reward and went through the same scam we did. Please resolve this so we can use our rewards and have Omaha Steaks stop their scam."
"I sent out 3 charitable packages to family in need due to tough times including the hurricane.
None of my recipients received the “extra 4 burgers”. With a call to O. B. The best they could do was send out a (one) $20.00 gift certificate to >me< not the gift recipients.
Missing 12 burgers including delivery compensated $20.00....not good.
With THAT said most of the unspoken “truths” behind these goofy customer complaints are the failed normal responsible ordering and derelict efforts to “game” the steak company for more than they paid for! Typically low class actors.

"Ordered package as a Christmas gift, when it didn't arrive on time due to them not shipping on time, I called and was promised a refund and reshipment once the original package arrived late, defrosted, and inedible. Which it did. I called and had a new order shipped, when that didn't arrive as promised (my mom took the day off work to receive the package) I called to find out why the replacement did not arrive, I was told they didn't give out anything for free....this supervisor didn't apologize for the previous mistakes, what was offered as compensation or care how upset and embarrassed I was for not carrying out the first 2 promised delivery dates for my gift....all she wanted to do was to get my money...when I explained what had happened and how much time I spent on hold (literally 2 hours, at least) she investigated and reluctantly reshipped....no apology, she was only sorry that others tried to make up for the mistake....i tried to explain to her that companies that make this type of mistakes should do what it takes to make up for glitches, like my company and many others....she didn't think they should do anything to compensate and was only held to the reshipment because 2 other (wonderful) service reps promised to do so. She didn't ever get why this was an issue....my mom might get her steaks on Jan 18th, instead of the promised December 28th....we will see....and I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!!!!!
SHORT SIGHTED COMPANY ..... you make compensation for your mistakes and follow through with promises......happy customers equal repeat business and raving reviews ....unhappy experiences equal angry customers, bad reviews, aweful word of mouth and loss of future business forever!

From Dec 14th to today January 11th, I finally received an email with a pdf for my employees' Christmas gift certificates. It took approximately 8 emails and 2 unanswered phone calls to get my gift certificates."
"For the past few years I have purchased Omaha steaks for family and friends only to find out I was buying garbage for their gifts. I received a gift box for the first time this Christmas and the quality of it was terrible. Sirloin steaks were tough,Hamburgers were dry and looked like they were made of sawdust instead of meat. The potatoes along with everything else were sub-standard. Never again will I buy or reccomend anything from Omaha Steaks."

"Good evening,
I ordered 3 packages for loved ones for Christmas @ about $80 a pop. Unfortunately one did not arrive. this one was for my Mother. Ok I did not give it much thought, things happen, I get it. I emailed customer service that one of my orders did not arrive and needs to be figured out. 24hrs latter I get a reply that Yes it was delivered. I responded that No it did not and it needs resolved. I revived a call a week latter stating that it was sent to a different city but same street that was not on the order.
Long story short is they stated there was nothing they could do but would be happy to resend the order for another $80. Not make it right. Not for a discount, but full price.
I stated "No Ma'am your company will never get another dime from me"
Just be careful Omaha Steaks do not care about you."
"I placed four orders for delivery before Christmas 2018. I was told if the orders totaled a certain amount we would receive 4 $20.00 rewards cards. When I did not receive the cards I called. I spoke with a customer service rep. named Ryan. He reviewed my orders, said yes we were entitled to them, there was no expiration date on them, and we could use them on one order (stack them). He said we would receive them via email in a couple of days.
When I did not receive them I called customer service again. Now I am being told that because my order did not fall within their "Holiday schedule" that my order didn't qualify for the rewards, and that since my email wasn't registered with them I also could not receive the rewards card and THE REWARDS CARD HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE OF 2/15/19 AND I CANNOT USE THEM ON ONE ORDER (STACK THEM). This is all contrary to what I was told when I placed my order.
So the takeaway from this experience is that no matter what you are told when you are placing your order know that they lie to get the order, and when you call them on it they have all sorts of exceptions that they never mention to you when you place the order.
Not a reputable company to deal with. Won't be placing orders with them in the future."

"My order sat in their office for 4 days before shipping. It arrived on the lengthy schedule they gave me, but most of that time was spent sitting in their office and warehouse.
Any vendor that can't ship within two days isn't managing their process efficiently for the customer.
About their customer service: it took 45 minutes on hold to reach a representative on day 3 of waiting for my order to ship. They told me the order had already shipped when in fact their own website showed the order status as still processing.
Also they don't tell you that they're going to bill you a significant shipping and handling charge. You don't see that shipping charge until the end of the order, and by then you've spent so much time going through all the ordering process and rejecting all the ads to buy more useless products that it's wasted even more of your time.
No good customer service! Don't order from them, they're only a marketing company."

"I ordered for Christmas delivery so product would be fresh. It was shipped immediately so needed to be stored for 20 days. The $20 Gift card that was offered as an added bonus was simply a coupon off future purchase of $79 or more and expired less than a month after order was received."
