"Omaha Steaks is complete rip-off!!!!!! I ordered a Family Gift Package (34 total items) and was shipped the wrong item I received The Tasteful Gift (15 total items). They have refused to make this right they wanted me to pay again to get the right order. I even offered to pay the return shipping. I guess there 100% Guarantee does not apply to wrong orders. "I have been a customer for several years, but today, I cancelled all dealings with these people and will endeavor to ensure my friends never get a positive comment about Omaha Steaks ever again.
I truly love a lot of what Omaha Steaks has to offer, but after today, I will easily find an alternative.
I received about 4 r 5 mailings in the last week or two and decided to put an order together. It totaled over about $200. I was told the "Private" mailing was special and had to have that order separate from any other order. Fair enough as it was listed all over it as a private sale offer. So, I separated that order and began the other order to ensure I met the cost specifications.
Well, I was then told that wouldn't work because I was ordering something from a different mailing. Mind you, the items I was ordering were not major cost items, but the side fares that simply are always priced the same. The rep spoke to her supervisor who would not allow the 2nd order because my stark burgundy is pastry wasn't in that same mailer.
I explained I've been a long time customer, had received so many mailers and simply wanted what I wanted. There were no special markings telling me any of the mailers were "special" (other than the afore mentioned item above), so why couldn't my order be accepted? Well, after all these years, I find out you can't mix and match mailers. Had never had this issue in the past.
So, I cancel the full order. They say okay, thank you for contacting Omaha Steaks. Yeah, right.
So, I call customer service and they simply listen. After a long pregnant pause by the customer service rep, (I'm thinking this is where good customer service jumps in and says, "What can we do to make this right and get your order(, but no, nothing, just still that long pause waiting for me to speak. So I did.
I stated since there seems to be no forthcoming resolution, I'd like you to take my name out of their system and quit any mailings to my address.
The customer service rep says he is sorry about this and will get my name removed immediately.
I am truly happy Omaha Steaks can dismiss a long time customer because they have so many more.
There are other options and you'd think they would care. I had liked purchasing from here for more than the great items; they are family owned and not a corporate conglomerate. Boy, was I wrong. Screw your 5th generation family business. You have a corporate culture and I will not be utilizing your company any longer.

"I liked the package I ordered so much I sent one to my sister. The steaks were vevy flavorable and tender. The phone calls from people trying to get me to reorder were relentless! They called all hours of the day , I would of reordered on my own, but because they are pricy it is mostly a treat for us. The calls turned me off. I am reluctant to reorder because it took me too long to get them to stop. I probable will notorder from them again"
"#1- The pork chops were tough no matter how I cooked them...
#2- The country fried steak was mostly bread and very little meat and the meat was very very chewy and tough...
#3- The Sirloin was very fatty ...
#4 - The filet mignon was OK but flat, not like a filet usually looks...
#5- The caramel apple tartlet , while very good was so very very tiny...
#6- The potatoes au Gratin were absolutely horrible...mushy and flavorless....
#7 - The hamburgers and meatballs and kielbasa sausage were all very very good...I would order the kielbasa and meatballs again if I were to ever order again. (?)
Like my husband explained to me, I paid $18 for 10 pork chops which comes out to $8 a pound...and they were tough...
Anyway, I don't believe I will ever do this again....If I pay that much I expect top quality meat....My bill with S&H came to $86 which is a lot on a budget...I thought I would treat myself...very sad :-(

"The first 2 occasions were this past xmas ...one was delivered but after xmas by 2 days. The 2nd order wasn’t delivered at all. I had to call and find out where it was....they had no clue. Now I sent a big package to my son for his collage grad party and it was on the 22nd of April. It was sent on the 22nd and just delivered today the 26th....needless to say all the party attendees have gone home and he’s moving out of his apartment. Well done Omaha! No wonder when you call in the ceo asks if you’d like to take a customer service poll.....maybe the ceo needs to go out his palatial estate and put his foot up a few butts. Otherwise Mr. Buffett (a certain Omaha resident) will be buying the company on the cheap!"
"We've been ordering from Omaha Steaks for ourselves and as gifts for quite some time. We just found out they have a store near us. We couldn't wait to go and see it. Greg greeted us and gave us a tour. It was awesome.They were a little busy. He still took his time and helped us make a customized package. He asked what do we like to cook. I told him that I had been a chef for over 35 years, so give me a good product and the options are limitless. Omaha Steaks has fantastic products. The meats are of the highest quality. The sides are also wonderful (we really love the potatoes au gratin). There's nothing more aggravating than to cook a meal , just to find out the meat is horrible! Unfortunately that happens more often than not. I put a lot of work into preparing meals, and I can't afford to throw it in the trash and then turn around and whip something up on the fly. Greg was so helpful and friendly. Thank you Omaha Steaks for making my life easier, and my loved ones happier!"
