"The big letters on the website "last day to order in time for Christmas delivery" on 12/16/17, So I placed a large order (214.00$) with Christmas gift wrap. When it never arrived on Christmas, I called and was told, smugly, that in the small print of my confirmation email it said it wouldn't arrive until the 29th.

"My son purchased for my birthday and the meat was not all like that on their commercials. Small portions and were just not tastey. The meat wasn't even as good as some of the other frozen brands you can purchase at sams club or schwanns. Dessert wasnt tastey, small, potatoe nothing to brag about either. Would never order again!"
"I ordered the crock pot meals and crockpot four weeks before Christmas for my elderly parents. I was totally mortified when I spoke to them on Christmas to hear the food showed up but the crockpot never did. I was never notified - I actually got an email saying it was delivered! I called to complain and was told they couldn't possibly notify every person who orders if only part of the order was delivered or they couldn't help the new orders. So it appears it is only about the sales at this company. I told the customer service rep that everyone else (Amazon, etc) sends you a detailed email and lets you know when there is a delay so you can cancel the order and get it from somewhere else. Which is exactly what I would have done. I gave them a chance to smooth my anger but I was told "too bad" and that they would reorder the crockpot to deliver some time in January! I will never order from them again and if you have anything important you won't either"
"Omaha Steaks accepted an order from me totaling approximately $70 on December 19. One day later, I got an email asking me to call them. I called, and they told me they needed to verify my address because they were shipping perishables (as if this was unknown to both them and me at the time I placed the order). The address I had provided was correct, and the woman thanked me as said the order will ship. By December 24, I still had not received the order nor any form of shipping confirmation, and PayPal noted that the order was "pending" awaiting shipping info. I called on the 24th, and spoke with a pleasant woman who could not find the order. After reading her the order number for the third time, she magically found it, and told me there was a problem with payment, however, she couldn't tell me what the problem was. She put me on hold for 4 minutes, and then came back to say there was no problem with payment, that the order would ship, and I'd have it by December 30. I asked for an order confirmation with a tracking number, and she asked to verify my email address, reading back an *.aol.com address that was not mine. After "finding" the correct email address after 2 more minutes, I had enough time to review this site and learn that this mysterious inability to fulfill an order and make-up stories was a typical pattern, so I canceled the order outright. This took another 8 minutes for the customer service person (who was pleasant) to figure out how to do, and as of this writing, I still have not received confirmation that the order was indeed canceled and my credit card won't be charged. Omaha Steaks is completely inept and not to be trusted. I can't even tell you about the quality of their product (which appears to be very inconsistent) because they could not even manage to process a transaction. Stay away -- there are plenty of other reputable alternatives."
"Ordered 2 special packages they were advertising in the Elks magazine. Did not get what I ordered. Omaha Steaks said my fault because I ordered online out of magazine. Very rude people to deal with. They said I can't send it back. They should not be allowed to do business like this. Order numbers weren't even the same."

"Rotten Beef!!! Ordered their Christmas special of $59 and had it sent to family. They had to throw away the meat because the meat was brown and smelled bad. At first Omaha was not going to refund our money but after arguing the fact that they are sending rotten meat to customers that could cause someone to get ill, they finally agreed to refund the $59 but they refused to refund the cost of shipping which was over $10"
"I have tried and tried to contact customer service. They disconnect me or tell me to call a different department. The shipping was stated to be free and on principle I have tried to contact them about charging for this. Already over priced as it is. The customer services is horrifying and they are a bait and switch. Please let me save you from falling in the same trap."

"My mother, who is the sweetest woman in the world, sent me a box of Omaha Steaks for my birthday. Right away when I saw the box I thought why buy steak online?
I love to grill and there's a awesome butcher shop in my neighborhood. Anything you want, Kobe beef, corn fed, beautiful tenderloins......So I'm gonna order some packed and preserved meat? Now all would be well in protein land if, once cooked, seasoned and served, it was mouth wateringly delicious, BUT ! IT WASNT. Dry, chewy, thin, average meat, is the best description.
Here's the thing guys, think about it, why would you order this online? Maybe if your at the North Pole, or in the jungles of Borneo. But good meat is not hard to get. Any decent grocery store will do the trick.
Now, I've never spoken with these people, and the order arrive on time, but it's way overpriced, and my sister tells me that my mom ordered via phone, and it was all upsell upsell upsell......Not to mention all the negative things I'm reading concerning customer service and care.
Again, great food can make up for other issues, but this is far from great food. Average food with high prices......Go to TACO BELL instead "

This is a total bait and switch. This company sends tons of mailings, wasting quite a bit of paper especially during the Holiday season and literally the offers do not work together as advertised and free shipping suddenly becomes a $69.99 charge. I just spent over an hour on the phone with them, going up through the levels, reading the "managers" the exact verbiage offered on the mailings and they still wouldn't honor the offers; there was always a different excuse. It's a shame that during the Holidays companies like these try to take advantage of people who are just trying to send out nice gifts to friends and family of food related items.

"After 4 phone calls and 4 different answers, they could not get the delivery date correct. They ignore all questions, the representative will tell you anything and do nothing. They have no way of identifying any of their customer care persons who you may speak to, plus they are more interested in selling products than getting your order correct.
Save your money, this will not happen to me again. "
