Filets good, the rest not so good

"In addition to the filets we got 4 large thick pork chops. Two are still in the freezer. The two I cooked were tough and dry; I am an experienced cook and have adequately cooked pork chops before; the 2 from Omaha were so tough we couldn’t eat them. Same, I am sorry to say, for the remaining 2 of 4 sirloin steaks we had for dinner tonight. Tough, stringy fibrous throughout. My husband threw away his remaining half uneaten. Too bad. Don’t order a combo pack, only filets. "

Fake steaks

"Tge stakes are small and not always flavorful. The steak burgers are great. I quit buying from Omaha when I measured weight. Plus store steaks are fresh, not frozen. Omaha is a royal waste!!! Beware!!!!"

Worst ever

"A few months back I purchased a special at Edison mall in Ft Myers FL. The 5 oz ribeyes were ok, but the package with those, new York strip etc are tough, full of sinew, poor taste. I broiled one of the t bones last night (usually my favorite), I'm not sure I ever want another steak ever. It was horrible. The hamburger is ok for spaghetti, chili etc, but not by itself. I'm throwing out the t bones, New York strip, and the fillets. I don't know if this is seconds not good enough to ship directly from the factory or what, but they didn't say anything when I bought it. "

Terrible customer service

"Rec’d gift from Omaha & ordered constantly thereafter (except when moving) until… Placed a large order consistent with my previous orders for two of us—an adult & a child. Special diet requires I choose carefully. Noted items in the order before I sent it. Delivery was a shock. Just a few boxes were from my list. Some items were sides and desserts that I can’t eat. Particular cuts I ordered for my child had been replaced with others. While it was still packed on ice and returnable, I called customer service to be told too bad (paraphrasing). Previous time as a customer was meaningless. Informed that they were the items in the order they had rec’d online. I donated most of the order, which should have been our meats for the month. Fixed income didn’t allow me to replace them. As we near the end of our meatless month, I’m looking for a company for delivery of meats who values their customers. Don’t know why my last order was incorrect. I do know that I never expected to be treated like that. I don’t recommend this company. There is always a small chance of a problem. That’s when a shopper finds out if they really have customer service."

"i received a gift of omaha steaks of 4 strip steaks chicken **** Hamburg and hot dogs the only part of the package that was ok were the hot dogs everything els was horrible do yourself a favor and never buy anything from this seller"

Best Customer Service Ever

"Yesterday, I wrote an email to Omaha Steaks to express how pleased I was with the overwhelming majority of their product line. I did mention three items that were unsatisfactory, and I also asked about the possible addition of new products. Never did I expect that the company would contact me the next day and offer me three separate gift cards for the items I didn't like. What other company does that? I love shopping with Omaha Steaks and look forward to making many more orders. "

STOP BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY!

"I have been a loyal customer for years and years, ordering a variety of products. Recently, I placed 2 large orders back to back, including desserts and appetizers that my husband planned to take and eat while on a Spring Break trip. Well, after winding down from an active day, we opened deserts from Omaha Steaks. He had the mini cheesecake and I had a mini key lime tart. My husband found long strains of hair in his cheesecake. I immediately called the next morning and spoke with Jeffery, who apologized, promised a refund, and offered a $40 gift card. I declined the gift card, advising that it was an insult. I sent the video and images of my husband pulling hair out of the cheesecake but I never heard anything else from the company until I called today and spoke with Johnny who was indifferent. He said a refund was issued on April 7, but no one formally reached out to me to let me know this. I have officially ended my relationship with this company and will now do business with Kansas City Steaks or another of many companies that care about quality and good customer service. Hair in a food product is not acceptable but it appears that it is acceptable to Omaha Steaks."

Worst food purchase ever

"So I have had the Filets they are very good thought I would try some other things given the 1/2 price sale. Well they could have given away the stuff and I wouldn't like it. The "pub style cod" is worse than Gordon's fish sticks. The crab legs, salty not sweet at all, the Amber Beer style shrimp, just ok, small 40 count to the pound style. The Filet Mignon burgers were actually good. The ground beef, tasteless, flat iron steaks were "meh" and lastly, and how could you kill BBQ but these guys managed. The "burnt ends" which I so was looking forward to...a complete artificial tasting salt lick. I've decided their stuff is just garbage and in fact I won't ever order anything more from them including their filets. Sam's club prime filets are pretty close and alot cheaper. If I could give this company zero stars I would."

Not So god

"My wife gets scammed into a lot of stuff even walk up solicitors Omaha steaks is one of those scammers Their quality is Wal Mart The prices are Higher than Costco once you cut through the BS math they use. She paid a couple of hundred dollars for about 40$ worth of what could have been fresh meat not frozen The processed stuff is below frozen dinners at the grocery store The breaded sirloin steak had enough salt on it to give an elephant high blood pressure A big thumbs down here "

DON'T GIVE $100 GIFT CARD UNLESS YOU WANT THE RECEIVER TO PAY UP!

"So I got a $100 gift card as a gift and I'm looking around for something to buy....BUT even if you wish to pay the shipping of $19.99 and fill your cart with 80 bucks worth of stuff, NOPE, you can't do it. You have to spend AT LEAST $99 worth of stuff to even qualify for shipping....NOT free shipping...just shipping itself. So if you give someone a $100 gift card, they still have to pay at least $19 extra to get their order to them. (And thats IF you can get the right product price ratio to just get to $99....you will probably have to pay more than $19)

How is this a gift for someone?

Here is how they explain it on their website:
"To accommodate significant increases in demand for our gourmet products, we have been forced to modify our shipping procedures. At this time, most of Omaha Steaks shipments must be at least $99.00 to qualify for purchase and delivery. Making these changes will let us continue to safely deliver the quality products you've come to expect and love from Omaha Steaks. Thank you for understanding."

I called Omaha Steaks and while the customer service rep was very nice and apologetic, I did not get my satisfaction because that is the Omaha Steaks policy.

Whereas almost every website allows you the "luxury" of paying for shipping, this one makes you pay more for the whole experience. What's the point of giving $100 unless you like your gift receiver to pay out of pocket?

Lies, lies, and more lies.

"Ordered on a Tuesday morning via a phone call to Omaha Steaks. As they continuously tried to upset me I paid $19.99 for shipping. I was told I would receive my order by Friday if not sooner. Friday came, FedEx tracking said on a truck to be delivered by the end of the day. Nothing. Called and was told it should arrive Saturday. Nothing. Called, no help and was treated like I was the problem. Now it is Sunday and the FedEx site shows delivery will be by the end of the day Tuesday. Terrible experience that I will never again use these liars again. "

Won’t take me off their mailing list

"Very mediocre steaks especially for the price they charge. I have asked them to remove me from their mailing list and they still have not done so. I will never order from them again and encourage everyone to not order from them. Very mediocre product and non existent customer service. I can get better steaks for much less at my local Safeway and I live in a town of 8000 so Safeway is less than stellar"
