"Unfortunately, I have all the same negative comments about this organization as all of your other submitters. I wish I read these reviews before ordering.
I am now ONE MONTH into an order. No e-mail response to my questions, no FAX response, no one answering the phone (toll-free number), no "sales team assistance to solve the issue".
OnlineTires has indicated a "6 - 8 week back order" on the tires. The manufacturer has stated that they are "out of production" and "not manufactured in the size you ordered" yet OnlineTires, and others, still advertise this product as being available.
I guess false advertising is not a 'BIG DEAL' any more - or they might be able to dig up a really old set for me!

"Be careful of this online dealer. I submitted an order and wanted to get my car back on the road after a recent blowout. I had my heart set on a particular tire after much research and consideration and they had it for a very good price. I ordered it and called in to check for availability for pickup. And in a nutshell
-Tire was not in stock and they do not know an ETA
-First CSR to help did not respond back with other options
-Phone system was down? but regardless, hold times have been irritatingly long.
-Second CSR offered other tires that were not comparable
-Second CSR said he will send info on the new tires they had (not yet on their website) but it never arrived in my email
-Still on hold for a good 15 min as I am typing this and no answer, just music.
My interpretation. The good prices are just a lure for you to call and they will push tires that they have in stock. The good prices they offer for out of stock tires is basically just holding your cash for a product to be delivered. Don't they know that when the public often buys tires that they need them immediately or, if not, very soon.
I wonder how long would I have to wait until I received my shipment or when they would call to notify me.
Called a few other tire places to find my tire and when I told them about this place, they had little good to say. Some of these guys tried to really hold their tongue.
20 minutes has passed and I finally got a hold of someone. Asked for a refund and they said the full amount should get to me tonight (we'll see)."
"I purchassed four goodyear eagle ls tires from onlinetires.com. After a couple months, when the ride got worse, i took them in to the shop that mounted them for me. Tire guy said ALL FOUR were "out-of-round"!! Defective!!! Online tires sent a nice email saying they couldnt help me and directing me to the toll free number for goodyear. Goodyear replaced all four tires (through Sears)and i paid mount and ballance.
Took two weeks and several trips to Sears to get this resolved. I couldnt drive over 52mph with the bad tires on the car.
My concern... if it is highly unusual to get ONE out-of-round tire... why did tiresonline.com sell me FOUR!!!?
I would suggets paying the little extra for tires at a local store you trust."
"This so called tire dealer, is a no good business. I ordered 2 tires that they ended up not having in stock. So after a whole day of trying to get a-hold of someone, i asked for a refund and he agreed to. That was a week ago. I have since e-mailed tried calling, made a claim on paypal. nothing.
This company is under staffed. or just not real. Their voice mail was full!!! WTF?? They dont answer e-mails. all they do is take your money! dont use this site its a very bad idea. call them for yourself and seee how hard it is to get through. its like calling a radio station trying to win a free pair of tickets. They need to be shut down! "
"Ordered my 2 tires from them since the 23rd Now it is Dec 2. No tracking number no customer service no sponse from email. This company should not be allow to sell anything online.

I ordered 4 tires on October 3rd, they took my money immediately through paypal and I received an email with my order confirmation and it stated that I would receive a tracking number as soon as they shipped on another email.
I never received that "other" email.
Today is October 20th and I don't have my tires either. I sent several emails prior to today inquiring as to when my tires will ship and where is my tracking number. Still no response. I have called twice and each time have heard the recording saying that they are "unable to take my call right now but leave a name and number" which I did and still no response back. I also filed a paypal dispute about 3 days ago and haven't seen a response from them on that yet either. I'm seriously disappointed in their lack of customer service "after the sale" and I feel as though I have been robbed. If there was some type of glitch in the beginning then I could understand that but they have had more than enough opportunities (IE: time) to respond back to me using either email or phone. I wouldn't buy from them again nor would I refer them to anyone.
Update #1: Spoke with an actual human named AJ in sales. Nice guy even though he couldn't really do anything for me. He stated that what "my" problem was is that the computer placed my order for May 6th 2009 and that's why no one did anything for me. I explained that I emailed 3 times and called and left my name and number twice. I also explained that I didn't see how that was "My" problem anyways. Then he checks to see if the tires are in stock which of course they weren't but he offered to upgrade to a different tire at an additional expense to me. Long story short - there is no haggling with this company so I get a complete refund in 5-7 working days, I'll try not to hold my breath on that one. They take my money and have it for 24 days (worse case according to AJ) and all I have to show for it is aggravation.
Never in my wildest dreams would I buy anything from this company again, Never would I refer anyone (even an enemy) to this sorry excuse for a company. If they were the last place on earth to buy tires then I would walk. Buyer Beware - this place doesn't care about you or your money!
Update #3 It has now been 7 business days and still no refund to my account!
Update #4 - November 2nd. I just got off the phone with AJ and he told me that I should have my paypal payment refunded in 5-7 working days. What an effin joke - I've already waited 9 working days since that last time that he told me that and they've had my money since October 3rd! I told him I'm not waiting anymore so he is supposed to call me back with manager approval or something like that. Again - I'm not holding my breath. Worse effin company I've ever dealt with hands down. Buyer Beware!!
Update #5 One day later and tired of being ignored yet again. Talked to AJ. Apparently I'm his f*cking "bro" now since he kept calling me "bro"!! AJ said "his managers are aware of me wanting my money back but if they don't get around to doing paypal refunds then they just don't get around to it, it's unfortunate but that's how it is." "But I should see my money by the end of the week, if not I should call back on Saturday because they are actually in then." I'm about to just call the Covina California PD and make a theft report. It's been 30 whole days since I was ripped off by these @ssholes with nothing but a hurry up and wait for a refund that I feel will never be given.
Update #6 - Final Update! I received a refund on 11/14/09. Paypal actually took the money from their account instead of onlinetires.com doing the right thing and refunding me themselves. This company is an effing joke."
"I had good experience with Onlinetires.
I picked them for two reasons: best price and location (they are in CA). I checked web site and
found everything in order such as address, contact telephones, return policy. Ordering process was simple and straight forward.
I placed my order on 9/28/09 and immediately received automatic email order conformation.
I waited a couple days for shipment notice and decided to give them a call. A man answered and asked me to hold... after a minute he confirms that my order is ready for shipment and will get tracking number soon. And indeed tracking number I had same day. My order arrived 10/2/09 by Fedex.
I checked tire manufacture date it was 2909 which means 29 week of 2009. So, I give them 5 stars.
I've read on one forum that Onlinetires have had bad times however now the new manager is in charge and things are getting better. I wish them to stay on this path and build good reputation one customer at the time. Thanks.

"Onlinetires.com beat TireRack by about $10 a tire and at the time money was a concern so I went ahead and ordered from Onlinetires. I placed my order on a Sunday and never got even an automated confirmation so I got a little wary and decided to do a better search on the company. I am glad I did I discovered people had many bad dealings with them. In particular was the fact that they said Onlinetires will not notify you if your order is not in stock and the site frequently shows in-stock when it is not. So taking the advise of one of these reviews I called them first thing Monday morning. A person answered and said "Onlinetires please hold" and I got to listen to some music for 8.5 minutes. I might add that during this time the music would cut off and back on like someone was checking if I was still there. The music stopped for about 10 seconds and I finally almost yelled is anyone there and this guy awkwardly answers "Onlinetires what can I do for you". I tell him I want to confirm my order and he says if I ordered it over the weekend they will not have my order pulled until about Thursday and they will send me a tracking number then. That seeming to be a long time when TireRack would have it to my house by Wed or Thurs I said I wanted to cancel the order. With out asking why he says give me your name and number and we will call you back at the end of the day to cancel. Yeah, that went along with another reviewer and he said they never called and he got charged and they had it shipped so he couldn't do anything other than refuse shipping. So I insisted it was canceled now while I was on the phone and he asked for my order # and name and said it was taken care of. We will see...

I don't get on here much but was leaving another review and thought it was a good time to update this. I am leaving it at one star as the tires were sent and I was charged after I was told it was cancelled and confirmed. This wasn't a huge surprise to me as I knew this happened frequently at this company. They also did not want to deal with a return very much that is until I had my credit card company perform a charge back on them."
