"I went searching for a mid-priced laptop for the University I work for and had one requirement. I needed Windows 7 or Windows 8 with the downgrade to Win 7. Willing to pay for the downgrade, no problem right? Wrong.
The have 1,000's of laptops and everyone listed as Windows 7 says "Backordered, 1-2 weeks delivery". This is code for we won't sell you one, you must buy Windows 8. Even offering to buy Windows 8 AND Windows 7 for my industrial equipment.
After a time, they email back with one single machine they can sell and the cost is double of all the others I and the service rep were looking at. The machine was nearly $1,600 and had crap video, small HD and overall a $900 machine. Their take it or leave it attitude was quite depressing.
I wrote a polite email detailing the experience to their customer service email address of "PCNationcares" I bet I do not have to tell you that they DOUBLED their efforts of...nothing. I will go out of my way to avoid them and I am amazed people on here had a good experience with them. They are the epitome of the faceless, virtual inventory web leach. Good riddance."
"My experience with PCNation has been great. I got my printer at a good price, love it and it was delivered when promised. My only somewhat negative comment is that the box looked like it had just been pulled from the warehouse - there was no tape securing the carton or any kind of outer packaging. What if it had been raining when it was delivered? (Actually, I had left word for FedEx to leave it in a covered area.) However, someone could have just opened the box and removed items. I think the carton should have been more secure."
"Came on time and was exactly what I ordered."
"My item was delayed delivery. I was never notified. When I called they did not even apologize. Go figure. "
"Online ordering was very easy and informational. Looking forward to my new gear!"
