"I have been purchasing most our IT hardware requirements from PCNation for over two years. They have pretty decent prices but we don't buy from them soley based on the pricing. We buy from them because of the customer service. Some of our purchases don't end up working out for our needs and I have never had a problem with their returns dept. They are always prompt and courteous. One minor complaint is their site does not always have a lot of product info posted."

If I ever hear of someone I know making an internet purchase, I will go out of my way to prevent them from making a purchase through PCNation.com. "I ordered a Viewsonic 22" P225fb CRT monitor from PCNation and was very happy with the transaction. I even emailed them requesting the tracking number and received a response within 24hrs.
To be quite honest -- If I had noticed the lower rating for PCNation on resellerratings.com I may not have ordered from them. I must have noticed another rating for PCNation that was above average.
So, in the end, I am very happy with the product, transaction, fast shipping ...and they billed me exactly what they were supposed to."
"Was unsure about ordering from them at first since the bad ratings I've read about this company on this site. Went ahead and took the risk anyway, since they were having free shipping. So I ordered a Canon G2 digital camera on Thursday. Within a few hours, the order was already processed and my credit charged, and the camera was said to be shipped. However, even after several days and up until I got the package, I could not track the package through my order history. Something about needing to call to get the tracking number, which I found kinda annoying.
Nevertheless, the camera was arrived via FedEX with signature authorization the following Tuesday. This was totally unexpected since no e-mails was ever sent about the pacakge being shipped nor about any tracking number. The packaging could have been better padded, but the camera was in excellent condition. They need to update their website so customers don't feel so anxious of where the package is! Other than that, I recommend them to anyone for their fast delivery and free shipping."
"PCNation was horrible. First, they claimed to have everything that I wanted In Stock, but when I ordered, suddenly they said that the things I wanted were backordered, even though their website still claimed everything was in stock. This was annoying. It took them 3 weeks+ to get everything to me, plus they charged me an extra 8% for some bogus handling fee (don't charge me for your own ineptitude!) Never ever order from this store, you get ripped off and it takes forever for them to get anything to you. It seems like they don't actually have a warehouse; they probably just order whatever you ordered from other resellers and the "handling" fee is their profit margin. At least that's what it seems like."

"I read some bad reviews about PC Nation, but unwisely decided to purchase from them anyway. First of all, the money you save is quickly paid back by a bogus "handling fee" which in my case was $87. I ordered a flat-screen monitor 7 days ago, which I have been assured on THREE different occasions has been shipped, and yet when I call to confirm this the following day, I have been told that oops, it will absolutely ship today. No monitor yet. In retrospect I'd gladly pay that extra $20 that I'm saving, in order to avoid this."
"I used the website to shop Sony digital mega-pixel cameras. Called the customer service phone # to place the order and was pleased to have a knowledgable and no-pressure person to patiently help with my questions. Not once did he pressure me into adding accessories (RARE in online companies!). The camera arrived in perfect condition 3 business days later with regular shipping (Texas). I would certainly buy from them again."

"I ordered a UPS from PCNation on 3/19/02, and the status at the time was "Same Day - This product is in stock in our warehouse or is available at one of our suppliers for immediate shipment." I check back exactly one week later and to my surprise the item is backordered. Just for kicks, I check their site and this particular UPS is still listed as "Same Day". I promptly cancelled my order. This company is apparently one of those (and there are too many) that lie about what they have in stock."
