"Please be aware that Performance-PCs does not have an RMA telephone number, nor do they do RMAs via fax--strictly via e-mail. I made several attempts through their website and via e-mail to obtain an RMA number, with no success. It took almost three weeks, after calling their sales department for help, to finally get someone to assist me. And, after all the frustration, I was still unable to obtain an RMA number. I was referred to the manufacturer's RMA department. I will not make any future purchases through this retailer. Also, shipping took a considerable amount of time for regular ground priority. It took eight days for the package to arrive at my doorstep. I am very dissappointed with this company and the way it does business. "

Only 1 email a day for mod/sales information?
Isn't the sales dept designed for customer information, esp with RMA information, which wasn't presented; when delayed or reply absence occurs, 1 doesn't know if their mailbox system is out or etc.
For some reason, the following term is being overlooked by whoever, is answering the emails, lately:

If you are not satisfied with your component purchase, you must contact us within 3 business days of delivery to be eligible for a refund or exchange

"Just received a computer fan from this website. One of the three wire connectors was cut off. Trying to get an RMA or refund on it. Will never buy from this company again. Here is a picture of it:

5-19-08: Received the RMA'd part today. I still think it's unacceptable for a company that hand sleeve's their fans, and has two signatures of quality control on my order receipt to ship me a defective part.

"Having finally committed myself to buying a Deck Legend Keyboard, I decided to look for resellers that shipped to Canada, since Deck does not ship outside of the United States. I came upon Performance-PC's, and decided that I would order the keyboard from them.

I placed the order on Sunday April 26th, and it shipped out on April 27th! I was very impressed with the speed of their shipping, and even more impressed with their customer service. I had two questions about the order, which they cordially replied to within the hour.

I had chosen to ship with USPS because of my positive experiences with them, but I chose USPS Priority International (6-10 day shipping) as it was the most economical choice for me.

Fully expecting it to take more than one week, I patiently awaited its arrival and checked the tracking number that was given to me by Performance-PC's. I received a pleasant surprise when I found out it had cleared customs by thursday of the same week!

In turn, I received the package on Friday, and then I discovered why it arrived so quickly. It was shipped USPS EMS Express (5 day shipping)! Talk about exceptional customer service. The packaging was also top notch, with the keyboard box snugly tucked within the shipping box, surrounded by a generous amount of loosefill peanuts.

In short, these guys were great, the keyboard is fantastic, and they are the ones that made it possible for me to attain it. I'm glad I chose Performance-PC's, and whole heartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, courteous reseller.

"I ordered a customized Lian Li case from this company and they forgot to enclose the floppy drive I paid for. When contacted, they insisted on me sending them a scanned copy of the packing slip to verify that it was included in the list (which it was). This seems like nickel and dime stuff for a $15 floppy drive on a $370 custom case. Because I'm a student and work and have been busy, I didn't inspect the case thoroughly until beyond their stated policy for inspecting shipments for accuracy and damage, but after I found the packing slip and sent them a copy they did ship the floppy promptly and apologized for the mistake. They worked with me and addressed the issue promptly.

On a subsequent order I mistakenly ordered 2 140mm fan grills when I meant to order 120mm grills. It took 4 emails and a phone call to get a response, although the receptionist indicated that they were having issues with their email the week I attempted to contact them.

The response that I finally got was that it would probably cost more to ship back the 140mm grills than they are worth (which is probably true), so why not just reorder the 120mm grills. Fair enough, and that was good advice.

There are a lot competitors out there, and a number of have the same items at lower prices. Small mistakes add up for a web store's reputation, and I've read of similar experiences by users at the extreme overclocking forum

Performance-Pcs' policy regarding returns and exchanges requires notifying them within 72 hours concerning a shipment, so I would expect *their* responses to customers to be more timely in consideration of that.

Edited to add: When they read my message to them regarding this review, their receptionist called me to make sure I was satisfied with everything and was very pleasant and courteous, so they get points for that.

"Very good prices and a good selection of items, but lacking in the customer service department. When I placed my order and received it I received just a part of my order so I first tried calling them, which goes straight to voicemail that instructed me to email them for faster service so I did, when I emailed them the message I emailed them thru their website bounced back to me undeliverable 2 days later so I tried again thru plain mail and not their website, which worked. However, when I received an email back they wanted me to take a picture of the box and all of my order, which I don't have a camera other than my cell phone and I told them that I would try to and desribed what I received. About 20 minutes later I get a message back, "OK we will just send 2 Utopia today. Sorry" which to me was quite rudely put as was the first email, both very short and unprofessional."

"I ordered a Lian-Li V600 case and various parts from Performance PC's. They gave me a call to let me know that a part I ordered would not fit the case. They didn't have to but they actually took the time to check that the Lian-Li fan module I ordered wouldn't fit flush with the case. I was able to replace it with a Scythe Kama bay at a lower price.

Shipping was fast and the case arrived in the time I paid for. Unfortuantely UPS has been getting very sloppy lately. The box arrived with a huge gash in the top. The UPS driver was already speeding away by the time I got to the door.

The damage was minimal and only to the left side panel edge. Lucky for me that the Lian-Li V600 has thick side panels or the front of the case would've been crushed. Performance PC's is shipping me a new panel which should be here at the end of the week. No hassle and they're were really friendly and sorry for my trouble.

"I discovered Performance PC's by accident. While reading through a review of my PC case (Antec 900) a member posted he bought his modding supplies from Performance PC's. So I thought I'd give them a try.

Well three orders later I have been very impressed with their offerings and level of customer service. Here is an example with my most recent order:

I ordered various items including a three-pin 12 inch fan extension. They were out of it and attempted to call me on my cell (battery was dead). They still shipped out the rest of the order and notified me via e-mail that that particular item was back ordered.
Fast Forward to today, Monday (order was placed Friday afternoon, and surprisingly shipped out that day) I contacted Performance PC's about when they thought the back order may be filled. They stated they didn't have an ETA, but offered to ship me a similar item that actually cost a few dollars more to me at no additional cost.

That my friends, is great customer service. They are now my main shopping source for PC parts and modifications.

I ordered the items at night and within 2 business hours I had already received emails letting me know that my items were packed and then shipped. The even outperformed the Egg on shipping time. "I purchased a simple 8 pin to 8 pin cpu power cable extension and opted for the 1 to 2 day priority mail service to get to me as soon as possible. Paid extra for this.


The item took 7 days from time of purchase, and when I emailed the company to see where it was, I did not receive a response, but after finding out a few days later that the item was now close by to be delivered, I emailed them back and told them I was unsatisfied with this delay. I had to pay for another similar item elsewhere. I told them I would not purchase again from them.

They emailed me back stating in part “Go ahead and blame us. We did not guarantee you would get the item in that amount of time but was an estimate only even if it takes a month or more.

I shot back and told them I paid for a 1 to 2 day priority mail service and the least they could do would credit me, than argue with the Post Office. No response as of yet.

Not satisfied with the company and will not purchase again.

"Performance-PCs had the case upgrade I was looking for, which was a plus as my case model was just recently released. I ordered on a Monday and it was shipped that same day and received at my house, on the other side of the country, on Wednesday. The custom panel (top for Lian Li case) was also packaged very well; there was a big gouge in the outside of the box and there could have been a problem it had not been packaged so well. I will definitely order from these guys again and would recommend them to others."
