"They are not honest and do not care about their customers. They charged me $100 to ship an item overnight, and it did not ship over night. They refused to refund teh $100 or even issue a credit.
Then, the computer was supposed to come with XP but it didn't, so I had to install it, which did not work. Tey assured me they'd call back in an hour but didn't. I called them, and they kept me on hold for 34 minutes only to tell me I had broken the computer and that I had to call HP for assistance.
I am embarrassed for this company and am amazed that a company managed as poorly as PowersellerNYC can even hope to stay in business.
Stay away!!!

"i was a little worried at first buying a tv and having it shipped, but the whole experience was very easy. the shipping company call in advance and actually arrived at my house at the exact time we agreed upon. overall, the experience and the tv have has been great"

"I received an email today stating that I would have to call and "confirm" my order (three days after I thought I had purchased it).
I waited on the phone for about ten minutes listening to sales pitches then got a smarmy youngster on the other end telling me they could not ship order until it was confirmed but confirmation could not happen because the system was down.
When I explained to the unrefined youngster that I wrote the correct shipping address when I ordered - he explained "well, some people get it wrong". He went on further to say "we'll have to call you back when our system comes up".
I cancelled due to the need for quick shipping and a company that knows what the hell they are doing! PowersellerNYC never again!

"They charged me $1499.00 for something I did not order. They have not given me credit yet but I have turned it over to my credit card company. They stated that they had called and canceled the order that had been shipped, but I have not received my refund yet.

April 28th- update - I have been in contact with Power Sellers and have been assured that I will receive my refund shortly and that they are working on getting this all straightened out and that they did not have anything to do with this. The order was placed by someone with the phone number of ***-***-**** and an email address of ****@****.

"Whether this is a reflection of the company or not is your call. All I know is I ordered the tv on Mar 14 - it's Apr 1, and I still haven't got my tv. Their shipping company is tristate freight. I miss the first delivery date on a Sunday, due to it being part of a 3 day National Guard drill weekend. Since then, I've been lied to, mislead, and I'm currently 'hoping' I get my tv sometime next week in 1 piece. This is not how transactions are made; totally go with another seller.

Update: Company called me up recently and told me that they no longer use the old freight company due to ongoing issues with them. If that's the case, they took care of the only real beef I had with them.

"Ordered Denon AVR-790--came brand new just as described and at a great price. When company called to confirm order they offered me a service contract. I declined-they offered to send a free hdmi cable if I would reconsider.

I did (my mistake) and the hdmi cable never came. It was itemized on the packing list, but not included. Emailed powersellernyc-they said they wouldn't send one, that they have video showing it was packed. I don't care much about a $5 hdmi cable, I just don't like getting scammed. DON'T GET THE SERVICE AGREEMENT.

"I would definitely NOT recommend this reseller. First, when I ordered the stereo there was no indication it was out of stock. Then, after a few days of clearly ordering a silver color stereo with cherry color wood speakers, I found out they "baited and switched" my order for the standard black color model. Then it took almost two weeks for them to get my order right. They wanted to ship the black color unit because that one was in stock, but that's NOT what I ordered. Finally, after waiting almost three weeks I was told my stero was "lost in shipment" by the manufacturer and that my order was canceled. This is terrible customer service!

I should have been told upfront the stereo color I ordered was out of stock. And the company shouldn't have used the bait and switch tactic on me by switching my order to the black colored stereo, when I clearly ordered the silver colored one.

"They did absolutely outstanding job hearing me out, helping me out with my particular issue, ensuring that my TV got delivered to me right to my door and monitoring the process to make sure I was assured and happy. They even received the TV on my behalf and tested it before having it in-home delivery arranged for me.

Dealing with the team was an excellent experience and there is no question that their time and patience will ensure that I always look to them for my future needs.
