"This is the worst experience I've had in my life. Company is very shaky. No one answers the phone. When they do, they hang up on you. They sent me the wrong product after 1 month of placing the order. I called them to get a return address and they hang up on me. The one time I got to talk about the issue with someone, they were very rude. I opted to place the claim with American Express. This is a true review, don't ever buy from this people.

I placed the same order on buy.com and my item was shipped immediately and everything was fine.

"It looks like they sold me up a river on this one. I was hunting around for a discontinued 65" LCD, because we were trying to match another one installed in the first phase a project. PowerSellers had 5 in-stock, so I paid the premium to make our customer happy, I was just happy to find the unit still available. We received the unit in via freight, packaging looked fine, my dock guys signed and received. When the TV was taken to the site for installation, all 4 corners were scuffed, small dents in the speakers, pixelation in the screen and strange red marks all around the bezel and on the logo left me baffled. I called to get the unit exchanged, but powerseller blamed it on the freight Co. and put me through the claim process were it got lost in the mix. POWERSELLER SOLD ME A RE-FURB, claimed it as new, and didn't help when the crap unit didn't work. Fast talking NYC, better off buying it from China Town. "

"I'm rather confused by the negative reviews left on this site, as I've had fantastic experiences with PowerSellerNYC on two orders.

The first order was for a Sony LED LCD TV, which was very difficult to find. The first online retailer we tried to buy it from accepted our order, then called to say that the item was out of stock and had been discontinued a few months prior (this after I'd seen the same product in a local Sony store less than a week earlier). PowerSellerNYC had it, though, and didn't give me any BS.

When I called to confirm the order, they did try to upsell me on HDMI cables, wall mounting, and an extended warranty, but I refused all without any particular hassle. The most amazing part of the transaction was the delivery time. They said it was shipping from their supplier and it might take 3-4 weeks. It arrived in under a week!

The second purchase I made was for a Denon AV Receiver. On this I did buy a warranty, as Denon's manufacturer's warranty isn't valid if purchased through an unauthorized dealer. That sucks, but the price + warranty was still significantly cheaper than the receiver alone would have been elsewhere.

I think I got free shipping on both purchases, which is always a plus. No point in saving $200 on the item if you're paying $300 in shipping. The TV did require insurance, but that was a fairly small cost and was the deliverer's requirement, not PSNYC's."

"I ordered a HP Mini laptop that my wife wanted. These guys had it, even though it is not made anymore, 2008 model. It was even brand new in the box. After I asked about the warranty on it is when I was told there was only a thirty day warranty and then offered an extended warranty. No pressure to purchase a warranty. We declined.I ordered this on Fri. and received it on Tues. Packed very well ie: Double boxed. Only thing I did not like about this company is the fact I never received e mail confirmation on the order or any shipping information until that Tues when I called to follow up on my order and was sent an e mail right away. I would buy from this company again but after reading many reviews on here after the order was placed I would be carefull about some of the things mentioned on other reviews. We are very satisfied with our purchase."

"WARNING! This is a fraudulent merchant, and most likely all the "good" reviews on them are fraudulent as well. They will take your money by offering low prices and then never deliver the item. They hang up on you when you call and are overall disgruntled when asked for any kind of information about an order. Not even filing a complaint with Google Checkout has gotten them to respond. I am in the process of having my bank reverse the charges and am contacting the Better Business Bureau in New York to inform them of this fraudulent merchant.

In response to the rebuttal from Powerseller... you must have not worked there when this order was placed. I spoke with other disgruntled customers about your company and they had the same or even worse experiences than I and my wife had. You call hanging up on your customers mid sentence "customer service"? Also what are these "snags" you speak of Mr. Informed Employee because I was never given a good reason for why it was being delayed over and over again. You had the order "routed" too? Really?? Who does that? What carrier routes packages mid-shipment to another destination?! That was a very failed attempt at PR, and no spin is going to explain my horrible experience shopping with Powerseller."

"I read, with interest, a review on another site dated 5/6/09 as well as the response by PowersellerNYC on 8/5/09.
My interest piqued when I read that Powerseller wrote "we do, however, take full responsibility for this issue as the customer ordered from us and not Infocus." We have had a very similar situation with five Panasonic projectors. They were represented to us as new, but were in fact previously sold units.
After several unsuccessful attempts to reach someone at Powerseller than can offer any help, we would WELCOME the opportunity to return the units for credit as they indicated they eventually did for this customer.
If customer service is extremely important to Powerseller, we certainly would have been contacted by now to initiate a resolution to our situation.

And right about now is when it's really impressing, with the NFL season beginning, I have FIOS hooked up to it with NFL RZ. The deal from PowerSellerNYC was the best on the net, moneywise, but the service was top notch as well. It came in 2 days, granted I'm not far away in RI, but they delivered it right smack into the middle of our livingroom where it's been ever since. "Let the buyer beware of this merchant just got done dealing with their rude customer service department which originally refused to give me a refund for an item they do not have in stock and will not receive for several more days was told I needed to read the fine print which disallows refunds on just about everything and doesn't say anything about receiving a refund for an item not yet shipped! Merchant’s website is still claiming to have the item in stock.

Update - 2 days after they said I would be refunded 100% of my money PowersellerNYC customer service rep called me back to say he didn't appreciate my negative review of his company and that since I was slandering his company he would have to change me 6% of the refunded amount. I honestly don't know how this company is still in business with this type of customer service."

I ordered a Sony receiver and they asked to call and confirm the order. Once I did, they said the product was cheaper than at other merchants because it didn't have a warranty. I told them that they should have said that BEFORE I purchased the product, and asked for the order to be canceled. They told me they could not cancel it and hung up the phone on me. After I spoke to Amex and reported them, I gave them a call and said AMEX wouldn't be paying them for the receiver. After a long conversation with a supervisor, they finally appear to have cancelled my order. I will be checking with Amex if they actually did...

Whatever the case may be, do not buy from these people..."
