Use Priceline to ONLY verify pricing

"Priceline does not vet or check any of the companies it may contract you with. Use Priceline only to check your pricing. I booked a trip with Priceline and everything on my airline (American) was just as contracted. However Priceline sent me to NU Car Rentals in Phoenix, AZ and it began a painful process of bait and switch. In the end I paid almost double for my rental car as opposed to my Priceline contract. I have requested a full refund from Priceline. I have not heard from them to date."

Never Use Priceline

"We reserved an Alamo rental car through Priceline for our trip to Colorado Springs and prepaid Priceline $461.76 for the rental. When our flight arrived at the airport, Alamo was completely shut down, even though we were assured there would be a car waiting for us. We waited for an hour for an Uber that cost us $70 to get to our daughter’s house. The next day we went back to airport to get our car. The Alamo representative was apologetic and offered to cover the cost of the Uber and deduct the charge for the first day of the reservation as they failed to provide us the car we reserved. As such, the revised total cost for the reservation was $275.54. We told the Alamo representative that we already paid Priceline $461.76 when we made the reservation two weeks prior and that we should actually be reimbursed the difference. She said that the $461.76 was just a hold by Priceline and that no payment was made. We showed the credit card statement that the charges had been paid, and she said that we still had to pay the $275.54 to Alamo if we wanted the car as Priceline had not paid Alamo any money for the reservation. We called Priceline and were assured that Priceline would credit our account the $461.76 as the actual cost for the reservation was only $275.54 which we ended up having to pay Alamo directly. Priceline told us that it would take 7-10 business days to credit our account. Yesterday, 16 days later, no credit from Priceline had shown up on our account. We called Priceline again and we told that there would be no refund for the rental as they had gotten a response from Alamo regarding the matter. We asked how this was possible as we had already sent them the receipt for the $275.54 we had to pay Alamo directly for the rental. They then tried to say that the reservation was non-refundable. We asked them how Priceline could refuse us a refund for the same rental we had to pay Alamo for directly. Why would anyone reserve through Priceline if they take your money and you get nothing for it? That is fraud; taking money for a product or service, then not providing the product or service! All total, our $275.54 rental has now cost us $737.30. We asked to speak to a Priceline manager as the last representative could not even understand what we were saying or the written record he had in front of him. We were transferred to his manager, Rose, who was totally dumbfounded and said she was having her manager contact me directly. He was to call me directly within ten minutes; that was 14 hours ago. Had we not called Priceline yesterday, 16 days after they were made aware of this situation, they would never have done anything or followed up with Alamo. We have spent HOURS writing emails and making phone calls trying to get Priceline to credit our account the $461.76 they basically stole from us. We will ultimately get our money back, as I will not relent! However, I highly encourage anyone reading this to NEVER USE PRICELINE FOR ANYTHING! What they show online May look like a good deal, but save yourself the high price and headaches you’ll end up getting in the end like we did. Book with Booking.com or Expedia, both of which we have used and never had any problems. This was our first time ever using Priceline, and it will ABSOLUTELY be the last! "

TRICKED & SCAMMED WITH VIDEO evidence

"I booked with this company as they seemed to have the best deal.

I selected 2 adults and 2 children with their correct ages.

I recorded the whole booking process & selection which all the way stated I had added 2 children.

When the booking was made and confirmed I checked for an email confirmation which I always check thoroughly...
It said 2 adults Max!

I contacted them by whats app & the guy Donnell seemed helpful & understood the problem and could see exactly what I had booked to be true but the hotel reservations were closed due to time zones in Dubai!
He told me to what's app tomorrow and he would escalate the situation.

The next day I contacted them and they basically told me the opposite and were very unwilling to help as it was not free cancellation!
They told me to call the American number from the uk to speak to a supervisor which will cost me 100 of pounds!

I am now massively out of pocket to add my Children on with the hotel & to add on the breakfast on top so about another £1000 I could have found a much better price than now what I am paying out with all the add ons that were already included!

I DID ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING RIGHT I MADE NO MISTAKES & I AM BEING PUNISHED I WILL BE TAKING THIS COMPANY TO COURT!

I have complete video evidence from start to finish & this deal is still available which is false advertising & trickery!

"Back in July I purchased a bundle deal which includes flight, hotel, and car rental for 2 days to Florida from New York to attend a family event. I left for the airport 5 hours before my schedule flight to avoid traffic and get through TSA. On my way to the airport I was rear ended and was taken to the hospital because I’m pregnant. I notify Priceline of what happen and if I could cancel or get a credit for a next time, I was told by a representative I would receive a call from a different department in about 10 minutes. I waited on the call while I was still at the hospital, someone finally called my back about 9 hours later 11:30pm at night. I explained the situation and what happened and basically I missed the flight. I was told by the representative he would cancel the trip however, Priceline was not able to directly refund me but I should make a claim with my bank and I would have my money back. The next day I called the bank explained the situation and was credited back my $850, this was July 16. On September 1st I noticed I was charged again for the trip, I called the bank to ask what was going on, the bank said Priceline STATED I NEVER CANCELED THE TRIP THEREFORE IM BEING CHARGED THE FULL AMOUNT. I called Priceline to ask why would they tell me the trip was canceled but now is stating I didn’t cancel the trip. All I got was the run around, being transferred from one department to another and being on hold until they hang up the phone. Now I’m stuck paying $850 for a trip that was supposed to be canceled."

Never again!

"Horrible!!! I would rate Priceline with negative stars if I could!!! I booked hotel reservations through Priceline.com. I traveled 2 states away, which was over 9 hours of driving. When I arrived at my destination, I was told that the hotel was overbooked, and they had no room for me. This was the LAST thing I wanted to hear, after a long drive and not knowing anyone in the area. No other hotels had room either, due to an Apple Blossom Festival occurring that weekend. The associate at the hotel front desk told me that Priceline “buys up so many reservations, without knowing how many rooms there truly are available. Also, Priceline doesn’t share individual’s contact information with hotels - if they had, the hotel front desk would have contacted me before my trip began, I wouldn’t have wasted 20 hours!!"

horrible Customer Service

"I had reserved a rental car through Priceline back in February. The car company Ace had provided me with a car that was substandard and I returned it for a full refund 5 minutes later. The charge on my card was $255.47, Ace only returned $224.47 which was $31.00 short. Ace explained to me that they were only paid $224.47 which was the reason for the refund being $31.00 short. Ace stated the other $31.00 that you're looking for was the charge that Priceline charged. So I reached out to Priceline only to be told they could not help me. They refused to reimburse the $31.00, I will never use this online company again."

Priceline Worst web site to by hospitality service

"January 8/2022
Priceline: I did a reservation by mistake in different town where I was traveling, I called priceline, after 30 minutes, they said they can’t cancel the reservation because is not refundable. Reservation 62082590

So I did a second Priceline reservation in motel super 8 same date (two beds) when I arrived the motel did not do my check in, the uneducated lady said that I have to paid for a second person. why if the post-Priceline Is for two person and two beds. Motel 8 doesn’t care.
So I called again Priceline, after 30 minutes and two different persons, their answer was “we can’t do nothing, if she said you have to paid the extra charge”. I didn’t check in that motel ( I saw it is a xxxj-hole with bad energies). Reservation 457636402

I have had to paid two reservations in Priceline for two different Hotels, same night, and I couldn’t use the hospitality service. Priceline didn’t resolve my claims.

Never use Priceline again

"I bought a package for 3, flight, Hotel and rental car from me, my mother and Sister. My mother had been sick lately and when I tried to cancel my mother’s package and get partial credit to use in the future, customer service gave me the runaround for over an hour until I gave up. They kept asking me for additional confirmation numbers and transferring me to 2 or 3 priceline agents. At the end, they couldn’t help me. Won’t use priceline again. "

NEVER NEVER BUY HERE

"WE BOOKING TWO ROOMS FOR JACKSONVILLE IN FL, USING THE APP.
BUT THE APP FAILED CHANGING THE CITY TO MACLENNY FL.
IMMEDIATELY WE CALL TO CANCEL IT. BUT THEY SAID "WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE THE MANAGER WAS NOT HERE" . WE CALLED THE HOTEL, AND THEY TOLD US THAT THEY COULD NOT CHANGE IT, BECAUSE THAT WAS PRICELINE'S WORK.
IN THE END: THEY CHARGED US FOR 5 DAYS, WITHOUT NEVER HAVING BEEN IN THAT HOTEL.
WE CALLED COSTUMER SERVICE, WE TALKED TO 4 DIFFERENT PEOPLE (ALL IN THE IDIA) NONE SOLVED ANYTHING, WE HAD TO PAY EVERYTHING, THIS COMPANY USES FOREIGN WORKERS OUTSIDE THE USA WHO CANNOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY.

Worse than DMV. Will never use again.

"I booked a hotel through Priceline. Their website advertised free Wi-Fi, but their confirmation email mentioned none of it. I contacted them for clarification, and that is the beginning of a nightmare.

First of all, nobody picks up the phone at Priceline--always high call volume, even at 7am Saturday morning or 1am Sunday morning. Their chatbot does not work either. Wait time is almost an hour and they contacted after I quit in frustration. Phone calls to them always re-directed to Bookings.com, but they could not resolve the issue and always told me to contact Priceline. When I finally got through with chat at Priceline, I was told to contact Bookings.com. Imagine my frustration of being kicked between them.

It appears that Priceline is only about receiving money at the front end and not willing to take up responsibilities to provide services. Priceline used to be much better than this.

I urge you to stay away from Priceline unless you are interested in being stuck in an infinite loop.

Piece of crap company thieves that don't honor their trip insurance, run away

"Was ripped off. Bought trip insurance, wouldn't honor it, had a bad relationship with the rental car company I booked the package with (Fox Rental Car) Wouldn't let me speak with a Manager said a three hour wait (all done from a over seas call center) Do yourself a favor don't use these guys. Three hours on the phone, no results..."

Priceline is a dirty fraud

"I will NEVER book with Priceline AGAIN! They allowed the SLEEZY run down not fit for a animal to stay in Petersburg Hotel in Petersburg VA to scam me & ain’t no telling how many others out of my money! I make reservations & pay in advance to stay there. I get there & SWEAR I’m in a bad joke from the ACTUAL look & conditions of this hotel compared to the pictures on Priceline’s website. They tell me they don’t have a room for me after sending me to about 5 filthy used uncleaned rooms. They tell me to call Priceline & tell them I couldn’t stay because they didn’t have a room for me. I call Priceline they gone tell me it’s the hotels policy that no refunds be made. So me along with I don’t know how many others booking rooms through Priceline at this sleezy bag hotel just to get there not have a room & be out of our money. I can’t BELIEVE Priceline is backing such false advertising dirty rotten money taking scheme like this!"

Horrendus Customer Service

"In December I had made a hotel reservation through Priceline.com and an emergency came up where the event I was traveling for became canceled and was being rescheduled due to the fact the hosts contracted COVID-19. At the time of finding this out I reached out to Priceline about changing the travel dates if it would be possible and if it would not I would still go and make it a couples weekend with my husband. The Priceline rep assured me I could receive a refund if I rebooked with the same hotel when I received the new dates. The representative at the time failed to inform me that this request had to be made prior to the initial check-in date. This was extremely infuriating to discover as I TOLD the rep I did not know when I would get the new dates and did it matter when I called to rebook to which they clearly stated it would not. I have since received the new dates and attempted to rebook but have been told I will not receive the refund as the initial check-in date has passed and I have been listed as a no show, From my standpoint I have followed through on everything I was told I needed to do and am not out about 276$. I would greatly like my money back as this was not my fault as the customer and I followed through on what the Priceline representative said I needed to do in order to make use of the money spent on a service I did not ultimately receive."
