"My husband bought me a watch for Christmas. I took it out of the box and put it right back in. I already had a watch like that so I wanted to exchange it. We literally wrapped it up on Christmas morning and sent it back Dec 26th. We never heard anything so today my husband called them and they said they are sending it back to us because it’s scratched! Unbelievable- if I could give zero stars I would"
"Oh Princeton watches, how are you still in business? you sell non working watches then keep the money and direct all customers to the manufacturer then spend more money to get the watches fixed... FML when I saw your advertising, watch out, they don't care... It's cheaper but will cost you more time and money to get your stuff fixed."
"We purchased a Bulova Nouveau Gallery Wall Clock. It did not work properly from the day we received the clock. I called customer service and spoke with the supervisor. I was 3 days past the 30 day warranty . I had to pay to send the clock back to Buliva for them to fix. I live in Henderson Nevada and Buliva is in New York! By the time I pay postage I can have the clock fixed at the local clock store for $40.00. So they Princton Watches called me back and offered a $10.00 Refund for the Clock! And they will pay postage for me to send the Clock IF It was sent in the original Box. Who keeps the box for 33 days ? I had to pay $40 dollars to fix the cllock. Minus the $10 princton reimbursed me for a Clock that was broke when shipped. So I am out Another $30 for an 80 dollar clock that ended up costing me 110.00 . I will Never do business with them again. Sandra Patterson "
"I just received my "midsize" Luminox 0301 - B.O. First off, P.W's advertisements are very misleading. Although they said this watch was 39mm, they should have added that its definitely a "woman's watch". My wrists are only 7" and this watch looks very small on my wrist. More upsetting was the fact that only the 12, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 markers illuminate. That information is not mentioned anywhere on the Princeton's web page. They need to be a lot more clear and informative about their products. Very disappointed today. I should have paid a little more money and ordered directly from Luminox. Live and learn !!!"
"Ordered a brand new ‘Citizen’ watch and received one with a watermark in the middle of the dial .... clearly a used watch! Customer service advised me to send it back and promised to email me a return label ..... nothing was done. While I was in the process of buying similar Citizen watches for the entire family, this experience threw me off! Never again will I want anything to do with Princeton Watches. Beware!"
"I ordered a watch before Xmas. It never arrived. I finally cancelled my order today, March 7. Terrible business practice to keep consumers waiting so long. Every time I asked they would say that the watch would be here in a few days. Just plain lies. "
"I received the watch as ordered, and in just a few days with free shipping. The only thing keeping this purchase from five stars was the dead battery when it arrived; although customer service was helpful and rebated the cost of a new battery from a local jeweler. I’m surprised they don’t take a quick look at their product before they ship it out."
"I purchased a watch from Princeton Watches in December of 2017 as a Christmas present. Upon opening the watch the watch was dead. I contacted them and printed a return slip and returned it. I simply wanted it to receive a new battery. I received a phone call that they could not accept a return on the watch because it was scratched but that they had placed a new battery in it. The point is I didn't scratch it nor did I notice a scratch on it. What I did notice was that the watch I received back had a seal on the stem which the one my wife opened on Christmas did not have. The watch also had a protective strip on the back of it. The one that I received on Christmas did not have a seal or protective strip. I think I am lucky, the watch my wife has works and she likes it. Unfortunately I believe I received a slightly damaged product directly from them and because of this damage they would not accept a return on it. Beware Princeton Watches shipping you a slightly used product and making you liable for its damage. I will not be using them again. We are talking about a $1000.00 product here. What if it was $8,000.00"
"I purchase Casio Edifice from them more then month ago. Watch was out of stock. In time of purchase it was 20% off. When I received watch went to 30%. Rachel A was so kind and inform me she will refund additional 10% for me. What a great example of world class customer service and nice gift for my birthday. Thank you Princeton Watches !!!! "
"We order from Princeton at least once a month. Never have had an issue. Always arrive with free shipping in two days or next day. Had to call in an order once (due to website issues) and they were very helpful and friendly. Great company!
*Note about bad reviews: This is a discount site- of course they run out of watches and things go on back order-- there's a reason you can get 50% on the limited stock I'm sure they have. However, we have never dealt with backorders - watches are out of stock sometimes, but I always order right then and there, so it is never an issue. Seems like common sense on a site such as this.
Happy shopping :) "
"I ordered an engraved watch.
They mispelled my engraving...
I told them I need to have the watch by Monday since that is the date I engraved on the watch.
They replaced the watch quickly and said they would have it delivered the Friday before Monday with the 2 day shipping.
They sent the watch out ground which arrives Wednesday, 5 days longer than the 2 day shipping they promised me.
It will arrive late...
Stay away from this company, they are incompetent. Not worth your frustration."
"My experience with this site is awesome, serious they are the best, very reliable company, my favorite, keep on that way please you are the best"
"I am very happy with the price and the service with Princeton. I ordered on Sunday and by Wednesday I had my time piece. It came wrapped and ready to go.
The service was prompt and A1- I could not have asked for better.
The price was excellent and so was the prompt delivery.
Thank you so much for Princeton Watches!"
"I recently purchased a new Gshock Gsteel series watch, the site caught my eye because the watch retails for $350, they had it listed for $230. When i called to investigate i talked with a very kind and helpful woman, who informed me that because princeton orders in a very high volume, with low overhead they can pass the savings to the consumer. She also informed me that the watch was in stock and that it was new, with factory warranty, and that they could size the watch before shipping it, free of charge! I made the purchase over the phone and selected the free 2nd day air shipping. I ordered on a friday and received the watch the following tuesday.
The watch is beautiful and exactly as expected and advertised, i have no complaints with the service or merchandise whatsoever.
I had not read any reviews before making the purchase on my phone call impulse buy, but soon after my order i decided to look at some reviews...and was thoroughly terrifyed!
After reading many reviews on 2 different consumer review websites, i came to a conclusion:
90% of the negative reviews have to do with miscommunications about stocking, back ordering, and the website not accuratley informing consumers about the availability of merchandise.
I had a sigh of relief as i hope that my phone conversation and order (the woman physically got the watch while on the line and assusred me it would be shipped by 4pm that day) would bypass any of these problems...i was right!
My experience with Princeton Watches was completley positive, the worst part was the fear i got from all the negative reviews! be a smart shopper, call and inquire before ordering, i would absolutley reccomend this site to a friend!"
"Ordered a watch through their website on December 5th. The item was on backorder, even though the website did not reflect that when I made the purchase. An email from them assured me that since they have a "confirmed shipment arriving in 12-15 days" that I was to receive the gift in plenty of time for Christmas. Over 15 days later, no update from them. I call them and ask about the status of my order. The person on the phone informs me that they did not receive enough stock to fulfill all of the orders and that they were in the process of contacting customers to let them know. This was on December 22nd!
Do not go with a Mom & Pop site, even though they've been accredited with the BBB since 2001. Rely on ResellerRatings reviews. Wish I did that in the first place. Hopefully this helps others."
