" BUYER BEWARE Princeton Watches Return Policy was not properly advertised on its web site. In addition they advertised a free stainless steel pen with the watch I purchased with a retail value of $60 and I never even received it. I purchased a watch from Princeton and it immediately fogged up and was serviceable. Since it was a birthday gift, and I had put it on ONLY long enough to make it fog up, they said it was "USED" and I would have to return it to Reactor. (The watch manufacturer). Who would advocate this return policy? Who would actually sell you a piece of defective merchandise and then tell you it cannot be returned because it was "used", albeit while you found out it was defective? When told I couldn't return it I asked for a store credit and was denied that also. AE YOU KIDDING ME! No way would I ever do business with this company again and buyer beware!"
"This is unbelievable. I ordered items from them, with free 2 day shipping.
Each item clearly said IN STOCK AND SHIPS TODAY.
Guess what? I received an email that said sorry, ALL of the items you ordered are BACK ORDERED AND WILL SHIP IN 7 - 10 BUSINESS DAYS, IF they get it! Unbelievable. I went the next day to check their website, and it still said IN STOCK.
These guys are CROOKS and LIARS."
"OUT OF STOCK!
Spent a lot of time researching prices & products to find this this best price, but when I go in a day later to check my order, it says, BACK ORDERED! Do not list something you do not have! WASTED MY TIME!"
"This is an update to my previous review. In fairness to Princeton, I returned the watch via UPS because I was unable to receive the delivery and they did refund my payment within 24 hours or my return. However, it's still pretty ridiculous that they would be so strict with their shipping policies that they would expect someone to be home during the day to sign for a delivery and not be able to make changes.
A ridiculous company to deal with. I ordered a $600.00 watch from them and paid through Paypal and opted for 2nd day air shipping. End of the day I get an email from UPS stating that the package was being delivered Signature Required. Of course, the package was being shipped to my home, during the day, when I'm at work. I contacted Princeton customer service to ask them if they could change the delivery location or set me up so I can pick up the watch at the UPS facility near my home. They would not allow it. They told me it is a contractual agreement that they have with Paypal. That I would have to wait until 3 delivery attempts are made, the watch is returned to them, they refund my money and then I can reorder the watch.
Mind you, there is nothing on their website anywhere that would indicate this policy so one would assume that there would be some flexibility in the delivery process. Anyway, I asked if I could change my payment method from Paypal to Credit card so that they could change the delivery options and refund my paypal payment. The only thing they would let me do is order a 2nd $600.00 watch and wait until the 1st one was returned to them (see above) and they refunded my papal payment. This would have left me being out $1200 while I waited for them to refund my money. It's the worst online purchasing process I've ever been through and I will never again buy from these people."
"Beware of this Company. They are dishonest and incompetent with the worst customer service I have ever seen. I have placed hundreds of orders online and Princeton Watches is the worst single transaction I've had.
They double charged me. When I called it to their attention, they denied having a transaction with me. Then they said there was no evidence of a double charge, then they said that I had called them to tell them that I had received two travel clocks. In fact, they had called me repeatedly to tell me that they could not deliver the clock when it had in fact already been received. When I gave them written proof of their overcharged, they simply quit communicating.
Expect lies and ineptness from Princeton Watches."
"I Ordered two Victorinox Swiss Army Watches recently amoung others in the past Citizen, Bulova and so on, and haven't had any issues. They have always been nice and friendly, delivered my packages on time, fast to resolve any issues i may have had, I will definitely shop with princetonwatches again soon!"
"I recently ordered a Seiko wall clock from Princeton Watches. The selection was the largest I found outside of Seiko themselves. Princeton's prices was much better than many of the competitors. When you combine this with free shipping, they have a great price. The web site was very easy to use, no searching for any functions. The free shipping was not by the slowest delivery possible, Ordered Monday and received Thursday. When I need another clock or watch, Princeton Watches will be the first place I look."
"So it begins.
My first contact with this miserable excuse for a reputable business was to cancel my first order after I was notified the watch I ordered was "back ordered" and I could not be given a date the watch will arrive.
I cancelled the order and had the representative check availability of a more expensive watch. After confirming the watch was "in stock" I ordered the new watch and since it was above a certain amount I was given a delivery date for second day air shipping.
Of course, a day after the watch was to arrive, I call Princeton to get a status on my order and was informed that the package was shipped ground. The delivery date (if I even receive the watch) of course is three days after the date I was going to give the watch as a gift.
This company is a mismanaged piece of crap with no customer service, sales people that lie to you and a system built to deceive, delay and obfuscate the fact that they suck.
All top level management should be fired, especially in the shipping department, customer service, web site design and maintenance. I wish I had read these reviews before I purchased from Princeton Watches.
I will never purchase anything from Princeton again."
"RIP OFF!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I paid an extra 15.00 to have overnight service - which it did come the next day. I found out that my son who is serving in the US Military could not have that watch so I unfortunately had to send it back. It cost 6.95 to send it back 2 day priority mail with insurance of 250.00. Princeton Watches did credit my credit card for the purchase MINUS 25.00 which they claim is what they spend to ship a watch to the customer. SO THEY ARE TRYING TO TELL ME IT COST 40.00 TO SEND THE WATCH ( I PAID THE 15.00 EXTRA) WHAT A BUNCH OF BULL SH**)
THEY ARE JUST POCKETING THE EXTRA MONEY!!!! WILL NEVER ORDER FROM AND THIS IS A WARNING FOR ALL ** BAD COMPANY ** DO NOT ORDER FROM!!!! When I called to complain their response was "TOO BAD - SO SAD"" that is the way it is . "
"Defective Product. I purchase a watch with a butterfly clasp, From the start the clasp kept popping open so I assumed the band was too tight, now I had it loosed and I lost weight but it still pops open. Upon closer examination it appear that there is somethign defective in the clasp holder it it will not stay shut. I reached out to Princeton Watches since they clearly sent me I defective product but they essentially told me too bad. STAY AWAY BE WARNED"
"I received an empty package and when I contacted them for refund or replacement. They did not accept their mistake and in turn, they filed damage claim with UPS. Really? This claim is beyond my understanding. Well assuming that its your process, but still why do I have to wait for my replacement or refund if its not my fault. They could have filed the claim and meanwhile sent me my replacement. But instead, they choose to make me wait for 5 days and still nothing convincing from their end. "
"Inconsiderate and incompetent bunch. Don't try to order from abroad. I live in Tokyo but have an American based credit card. They informed me by e-mail that they would ship to an international address if it was an American based credit card and then after I made the order kept me strung out, insisting I call even though I already told them I was living abroad. Then when I called long distance they told me that had to speak to me at my US billing address.
Get a life!"
"Customer service was very good, but I am suspect of their products. It was easy to get a representative on the phone. Representatives were polite and helpful. I had 2 victorinox chronometers sent to me and in my mind both were defective. This watch was one of their closeouts. The timing second hand did not fully line up with the markings on the face of the watch. For a watch with an original msrp of $850, this was below my expectations. The company is an authorized reseller I verified with Victorinox. Both times I received a prompt refund including my return shipping. Maybe their non closeout watches have better quality."
"I had a very negative experience with this site. I ordered a watch several weeks ago, and chose two day shipping. Shortly after, I was alerted to the fact that Princeton Watches didn't actually have to product I ordered, but that it would definitely be restocked with one week (not true). I contacted their sales department, which assured me the watch would be delivered by December 14th (more than two weeks after ordering the watch). After receiving no further information or updates, I contacted them again several days ago, and I was just told that 1. they still do not have the watch, and 2. they won't have it until after Christmas.
It's ridiculous that they do not clarify whether or not they have the products they are selling - this is pretty basic. I could have ordered the watch from another site, and been able to get it to the person for whom it was intended by Christmas (which, unfortunately, I cannot do now). Even if they had been honest when I first contacted their sales department, I would have had time to find the watch elsewhere.
I've never written a negative review anywhere before, but I'm very disappointed and frustrated. "
"I purchased a Pulsar Sports Watch. They sent me exactly what I ordered. I received it in 2 days from day of shippment as promised. Brand new, in Pulsar box. Note, I did call to make sure it was available. Customer service confirmed that it was available. So I placed the order. Very happy with my new watch."
