"I installed the 52" vent over my 8 burner cooking top when I built my house. Since I do a lot of high heat Chinese cooking, I need a really powerful vent. I had hard time to spend 4k for a Viking vent, so I decided to give ProLine a try, which saves me 2.5k on the cost.
I read all the reviews online before the purchase. Also called the customer service line, and the representatives were knowledgeable and helpful. Installation is pretty easy, cleaning is pretty easy. After a year of using this vent, I am very happy with the product. I have been recommending this brand to my friends too. "

"I was looking for a wall mounted range hood for a brand new kitchen and wanted a professional quality hood, with good CFM flow. I also wanted a long "chimney" extension, which was hard to find. I came across ProLine and the PLJW 101.30 model. The ProLine website is very user friendly and the individual descriptions of the hoods are excellent, with lots of pictures of the products, downloadable specs and manuals, and even a professional video showing off the product. The PLJW 101.30 has a beautiful stainless steel finish, with curved corners and a modern digital control panel. The unit arrived very well packed, well protected and enclosed in a black fabric cover. Very slick. Product quality and construction, is fantastic. The motor is a beast, yet very quiet and easy to control with it's 4 settings. We love the heat lamps. The front lights are perfect brightness. I am very satisfied."
"THEY WILL NOT PAY YOUR CONTRACTOR TO RE-INSTALL A HOOD FAN THAT IS DEFECTIVE. HOW UNFAIR IS THAT TO A CUSTOMER WHO HAS BOUGHT THEIR FAN IN GOOD FAITH. THEY OBVIOUSLY DON'T TEST THEIR PRODUCTS BECAUSE THE FAN WAS NOT DROPPED. HOWEVER, THE MOTOR HAD BAD BEARINGS IN IT WHICH CAUSED A NOISY SOUND. THEY VACILLATED IN CUSTOMER SERVICE AS TO SENDING A PART. THEN WHEN A PART WAS GOING TO BE SENT, THEY ASKED THE CONTRACTOR TO GIVE A PRICE TO INSTALL A NEW MOTOR, WHICH MEANT TAKING THE WHOLE FAN APART. WELL THEY DIDN'T LIKE THE PRICE SO THEY SENT A COMPLETELY NEW FAN, SO THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO PAY FOR THE ADDITIONAL SECOND INSTALLATION.
THEIR POLICY STATES THAT THEY DON'T PAY FOR INSTALLATION.... ITS VERBAL BULL CRAP INSTEAD WE HAD TO PAY FOR THE RE-INSTALL. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT BECAUSE THERE IS NO WARRANTY FOR LABOR IF ITS DEFECTIVE FROM DAY ONE. "
"The hood has worked well since I bought it in 2014. For a hood with the power it has it is relatively quite. Also the filter panels are easy to remove and clean. The only problem I've had is with the electronic controls. At first the fan or light would come on automatically . That was remedied by unplugging a wire from the circuit board . Now however panel doesn't function at all. I called Proline today and they told me that they would send me new panels to fix the problem at no charge, even though it is out of warranty, because there was a defect in the original panels. So far they have been very helpful in fixing the problem. "

Harmoni processed my return so that I didn't have to deal with shipping it back, then helped me find the correct hood and processed the order for me and issued my refund for the price difference. The process was completely seamless and I didn't have to do a thing. "I love my proline hood. I have the unit with warming lights. I have a stainless steel backsplash with warming trays. The trays also allow me to hang my cooking utensils. The unit also allows one to use magnets to hang items. The filters are easily removed for cleaning. The unit gives my kitchen a professional look. "

I spoke with someone who told me exactly what I needed and within a couple weeks it was delivered. It has been 2 years ago and I have not had any issues with my hood vent."
"I was renovating a house with a Mid Century modern look and needed a functional range hood insert that would be enclosed in a sheetrock soffit. I was able to purchase a complete insert for under $900 including delivery. Very satisfied. If I were to do it again I probably would have opted for the Pro version (separate cost/purchase for insert and blower) , for even more power. But that was a much higher price point. and my budget was limited."

"I purchased a 60" island hood as part of my kitchen renovation. The budget had gotten tight after taking out walls, moving electrical panels replacing all appliances including the purchase of my Wolf double oven and 8 burner cook-top. So I did a lot of research when I bought my hood. I wanted a quality product with sufficient air flow, at a good price. After a few weeks of internet product reviews, I purchased the ProLine 60" Island hood. At just under $2,000, my hood was almost half the price of comparable hoods of similar proportions and capabilities (and mine is much nicer looking with cleaner control panels - 1 on each side).
I was an engineer for many years before attending culinary school and working in several professional kitchens, so I'm pretty picky when it comes to my kitchen tools. The hood arrived in a beautiful shipping crate right on schedule. I tested the product prior to bringing it into the house and installing. The test was easy enough - open the crate, plug in the hood, power it up, and run through its lighting and fan options. I had my general contractor install the hood. Our renovation involved all new duct work, and when it was all said and done, (and even though I've done my fair share of construction), I'm glad I paid someone else to do the work, cuz this is a big hood.
It's a beautiful addition to the kitchen, but upon my first real use, the hood began to have problems. There was an issue with the circuit board that caused the fan to switch speeds intermittently after 10 - 15 minutes of running. The customer service folks at ProLine couldn't have been more responsive to my problem. Initially they tried to walk me through some troubleshooting steps, but after it became apparent there was a manufacturer issue with the control panel, they immediately sent a replacement panel. They offered to walk me through the installation, but I was uncomfortable replacing the circuit board myself. So ProLine contracted with an electrical technician in my area and had them come out to my house to install the panel. Unfortunately the panel they sent was not compatible with the unit, so they sent another panel and had the technician come back out. This replacement failed as well, and again ProLine sent another circuit board and had the technician come back out for the installation, and again it didn't resolve the issue.
It was at this time that I found out that it was costing ProLine $200 for each of the service calls, but they paid the technician without telling me about the cost (the technician told me during his last visit). When ProLine was unable to resolve the problem by replacing the circuit board, they decided to replace the entire unit. I'm sure they lost money in this transaction. $600 for the technician, I'll assume $300 in replaced circuit boards, not including shipping... and then they replaced the entire unit and covered shipping. And they did all of this with a smile in their tone each time I spoke with customer service. This is the kind of customer service that is very difficult to find these days.
I couldn't be happier with my hood - not only because it's beautiful and works better than most professional hoods I've used, but also because it makes all of my chef friends very jealous every time they come over to my home for dinner.

I was a little nervous at first as your prices were way below others I had looked at, but ultimately decided the risk was worth the price. Boy I as I glad I did. The hood shipped quickly and arrived on date it was supposed to. I opens the box to find the entire hood covered and a heavy soft sock. As I unpacked the hood was beautiful. I started to take a close look and was amazed at the craftsmanship. This good was built well. My father is a old school Tinner of 30 yrs and even he commented on how well it was made.
