"Nice pick!...i found the right one for my kitchen.
There was a confusion over which brand to select but the customer service was excellent and they know the product what they sell and i am completely satisfied over the order regarding the processing of the order like the shipment.
I receieved within 3 days and i did the installation myself eventhough it was bit heavy i managed myself.
Now the exhaust system works better and there is no smell whatsoever. We used to cook lot of spicy and oily foods.

Thanks once again Proline hoods for your design and perfect fit.
I recommend this to my friends.

" I have a beautiful tropical backyard with a pool and wanted to add a gourmet outdoor kitchen. I had a wonderful builder lined up to do the construction using a DCS 48" natural gas grill and a beautiful brick and flagstone counter. I wanted a beautiful but functual stainless steel vent hood to hang over the grill. I researched and was only finding extremely expensive units and I just did not want to spend that much on it. I finally found a wonderful company that had just what I wanted called Proline Range Hoods in Salt Lake City, UT. I could not believe their selection and prices. Just what I was looking for. I called to talk and found some of the most wonderful informed people ever. They walked me right thru the process and I placed the order for their model #81230-48" unit. I received the unit in perfect condition in a very short time period. My contractor designed and built a beautiful stained cedar pergola to hang the hood in and give protection to cook in poor weather. I was absolutely amazed at the quality of the hood and controls.
This unit offers more in quality and appearance than any other unit on the market today. The under hood lights are perfect and the customized controls on fan speed and timer are amazing. I have friends with units that cost much more and they are envious of my find. I now have no smoke in my face while trying to impress my friends with my gourmet cooking. I have waited this long to write this report because I wanted to make sure how well the unit held up and I could not be more pleased. If you are looking for a high quality, high performance outdoor vent hood than this is the unit and Proline is the company!

"I am building a house and am in the middle of ordering all of the appliances and fixtures. I have placed orders at several different web sites and at Sears with ProLine being one of the latest. The range hood was the first item to arrive out of everything I have ordered! Very quick and accurate. I would highly recommend their products and company!"

"Buyer be aware. Don't ever buy any thing from this place. It's a scam. They charge your credit card right away even when they don't have the item in stock. After numerous phone calls, they kept on promising that it would get shipped the next day or next week but never did. I ordered a range hood then after 2 months and many promises, it's still not shipped. Do not deal with this place to avoid any headache. I hope they go out of business soon!

If you read through the rest of these reviews you'll find that there are mostly one star reviews as a result of their scams. And there are 5 star reviews which I'm sure came from ProLine Range Hood them selves. There is no in between reviews because all the real experiences are the one stars. I'm sure if people could give 0 they would.

“On our website, www.prolinerangehoods.com, we advertise when a product is out of stock. We do suggest that customers call in to receive approximate shipping times on out of stock items. Unfortunately, unexpected delays may prolong the time we receive our containers.

In this case, we gave a full refund after the customer canceled the order. A week later, we received this product. Like most online companies, ProLine does charge at the time of purchase. When a customer calls in, we at customer service suggest that they wait until the website is updated and the product is in to avoid any delays.

On any review site, there may be a huge discrepancy between the positive and negative reviews due to the fact that only the extremely satisfied or disappointed customers will take the time to post a review. We apologize we could not do business with you and you were unable to use and enjoy our great product.”

"Purchased a 48 inch outdoor BBQ from Proline. Shipping did take a few extra days to get here but coming from the west coast to south florida its understandable. Upon arrival I noticed the packing was in excellent condition and well packed. The unit was in perfect condition and working order. I am very pleased with them and their service. "

"VERY VERY bad experience. You will likely talk to Heather or Barbara. They are quite convincing regarding quality, features, availability and quick shipping. Do NOT believe them.

Ordered 19 days ago. It still hasn't shipped. (They said it would normally ship "today" but takes 2 extra days because the blower needed to be rotated).

11 phone calls and 4 emails just to try to get an honest answer as to when the hood would ship.

On 3 different phone calls I was told "it will ship tomorrow" - "it will ship today" - "it shipped yesterday". None were true.

Their favorite trick is to put you on hold and tell you "I just checked in back and saw it myself". I heard that one four times.

Yesterday, I received a "shipping confirmation" saying it shipped via Fedex. It didn't.

After three calls today, someone finally answered. She told me "it shipped, but FedEx's system takes 12 hours to update."

I explained it's been 36 hours...not 12 hours.

She put me on hold. "I checked in back and it shipped"

I told her I've heard that one 4 times before. On hold.

"It's actually on the dock right now and the FedEx truck is at the dock right now picking it up."

This company is terrible. The owner - whoever you are - should be totally embarrassed.

If I could give it zero stars I would.

"I have read many reviews which provided me with much purchase apprehension. I went against my better judgment and ordered anyway with the thought that the negative reviews came from unhappy, negative people.
Stay away from Proline! Upon opening the box, there was no protective film, and some minor scratches existed on the hood. I immediately thought this was a hood that was earlier rejected by another customer. I decided that I would just live with the minor scratches as I tend to be more observant than most people, and most people would not see the minor scratches. Upon further investigation, Proline sent me a hood in which the halogen lights do not work. The representative Heather said: "Oh, yes, the manufacturer frequently sends out defective units". . . HELLO! Is this a statement any customer wants to hear? What does it say about the quality of Proline Range Hoods?
Proline promptly sent me the apparent appropriate part, however, with no included instructions as I had requested. The screws on the metal plate which house the lights are so tight that I hesitate removing them as they may break in half, or the screw heads may strip, or the threads may strip. (I have an extensive list of tools, and I am very talented with my hands.)
Now Proline is putting their head in the sand (I guess thinking the problem will go away.)
I have documented all conversations, calls, emails, etc, and will now contact my credit card company.
Like many other reviewers have stated. . . .STAY AWAY FROM PROLINE!!

“We apologize that you feel our customer service was not up to par. Unfortunately in this situation there was a mis-communication. You received a hood without protective film. Depending on the manufacturer, some range hoods do not have protective film. Keep in mind, every single range hood that is shipped is opened, inspected, and repackaged as part of our quality control. We can not take responsibility for shipping damage by Fedex but we do insure every single shipment and will file a claim in the event of damage (scratches, dents, etc). This is a RARE case for us.

With this customer, we were happy to file a claim, send for a pickup and within a week, send out a new hood. We also sent out additional replacement light bulbs. We have installation manuals and detailed step by step installation videos in addition to technical support department to help customers as they are installing their hoods. We have found that the majority of our customers find they are easy to install and for those who need the help, a contractor or handy man can be hired for installation. "I would NEVER RECOMMEND Proline! We ordered what we thought would be a solid modern hood (36") and when our contractor put it up on the wall it was sooooo cheap, flimsy, loud and clearly poorly made that I contacted Proline customer service to have it returned but they REFUSED THE RETURN. So we bought a Vent A Hood instead which is a great hood. NEVER BUY FROM PROLINE. Terrible customer service and crappy products. "

A rep from ProLine Range Hoods, Proliner, has responded:

“We have a 100% satisfaction guarantee for all of our products. Our return policy is clearly stated on our website. Unlike other online companies, we do not charge for shipping back on products sent Fedex ground within 14 days. If you are not satisfied for any reason, we can arrange a Fedex pickup on the product, at no cost to you. A full refund is issued once the product is returned. After 14 days, there is a 20% restocking fee and you are responsible for the shipping cost. We do not take returns for installed units.

In this case, the customer wanted to return an installed range hood several months after purchasing it. ProLine refused the return and suggested they could resell the hood on eBay or other classified sites. We try to be as accommodating as possible to every customer, understanding there are circumstances in which a wrong size was ordered, or the range hood is not what they expected since the customer is purchasing online. Our returns are minimal as most of our customers are very satisfied with their purchases.”

"It's taken three weeks for prolonged would allegedly send out the part I need. Never got a return call although leaving numerous messages their customer service is completely unacceptable and I would never buy another item from them. My wife has asthma and I can't be without a range hood for month. I'll probably buy a replacement. Where customer service is important to the company"
