11/2/12 Place an order for a vent hood $1,166.00.
11/5/12 They charged my Visa Card and sent me an email that the order was printed for Ohio Warehouse.
11/26/12 I called about the hood. I was told that item had not shipped but I would receive a tracking order shortly.
12/2/12 I cancelled my order.
12/10/12 They issue an email saying that they would credit my Visa Card.
12/14/12 Still waiting for the credit. I am going to refute the charge with the Visa, but Bank of America policy is that you have to give the merchant 15 days from cancelation to issue the credit before you can refute the charge.
Final Analysis.
Interest Free Loans: It seems to me that this company is using customer’s credit cards for cash flow. They charge the card before the item is shipped. You got to wonder if they even charge cards without the items in stock.
Stars 1 or 5: I agree with the review below. I suspect that the company is providing it’s own positive reviews. It does seem odd that it’s either 1 Star or 5 Stars and nothing between. The negative reviews are filled with details.
I have learned my lesson here and I will never buy from a online company without checking reviews first."
"We just completed a remodel of our kitchen and installed a ProLine Range Hood in my kitchen. It took a couple of weeks to get the order delivered and I used the video installation guide to help me understand how to install it. I had to get in my attic and ad some support beams to allow a good solid structure to to screw into it for the installation plate. It took 3 of us to hold it in place and attach the hood vent to the support bars. It can be alittle tricky getting the pipe vent through the hole along with the electric wire so we tape the wire to the top of the pip and pushed it through and all is good. Looks great its the center piece of our kitchen and its the first thing people notice in our remodel since its an Isaland Vent Hood its quite visible. I'm ver pleased with the quality of the product and the price is hard to beat and I would recommend them."
"I'm surprised to see the negative reviews! We ordered a range hood online November 9 and it was delivered November 17. My husband and I installed it ourselves and it looks great and works well. Only problem we had was that the instructions weren't very good, but we figured it out.I would recommend using this company to anyone."
"I found my experience with Proline Range hoods to be excellent! I had been searching for a specific style hood for a short while, learning as I went. I finally came upon the Proline range hood which had all the features I wanted at much less than the competitors price. I even preferred the look of the hood better also. I ordered my hood online on 10/24/12 and it was delivered at my home in Virginia on 10/31/12. The box was in great shape but I immediately opened the hood and plugged it in to confirm it worked. It did, and looks great! Great addition to my newly remodeled kitchen! Unlike prior reviewers, my experience with this company was excellent."
"Very good service. packaging was exceptionally well done (heavy stock cardboard, foam filler, chimney and hood was peel off plactic wrapped as well. Item was back ordered bur was shipped quickly when available. On line video instructions were quite helpfull. Included installation instructions could be better."

Our experience with this company mirrors theirs with almost the exact verbiage. We would never recommend this company to anyone,and cancelled our order once we figured out who they were! Interesting that their customer service when told of our cancel took it like it's a common request without any inquiry to why or any attempt to save the business.
Our recommendation is not deal with this company at all.........run away!
With all the trouble and half truths we have been through with ProLine just to get our item to ship we are hoping we don't go through the same to see our refund.

When they say the item takes 15 days to ship what they mean is it takes 15 days for them to process the order to ship! the actual shipping takes another 15 days "IF" that's even true..........we did not wait to find out and cancelled the order. Our story too includes the containers blocking the warehouse doors.....What! you dropped containers in front of your only access to your stock! Interesting business model!"
"I ordered a hood on 10/23/12. I got an email on10/25 it was shipped fedex. Number was not found by tracking. On 10/25 got another email it was shipped fedex freight. Number not found by tracking for 5 days. Finally called and told I would receive it on 11/8/12. I did. Took it out of the boxes. Found 4 screws in a bag for installing and a nice 2" scratch in the front of the hood and no installation instructions. I immediately call to tell them about my problems. I had to call about 3 times before anyone pickup. They said that I needed to send in a picture of the scratch. I did plus That I needed instuctions and the proper hardware for the installation. I ask for someone to call or email me. Heard nothing. So I called must have talked to the same rude gal others mentioned. She said they the bags of four screws was all I was to get. I said well pick it up she said 'fine, We will pick it up Monday'. Enough said don't deal with these people!!!!!!!"
"This is the worst company I've ever worked with. That is probably why they aren't accredited by the BBB and have had 31 complaints filed against them in the past 12 months.
Before you order, you should call their telephone number and see if you can even get an answer. I called many times and only got an answer once. Same story for my emails. No response.
In my case, they took 30 days to even ship my hood, which is unacceptable to start with. Then, they lied about my shipment date. They sent me a written statement saying my hood would be mailed out nine days ago. When it did not arrive, I called twice and wrote two emails. No one ever returned my calls. Today I found out they have yet to send the item. They claim they will send it by today at 4 pm. When I was finally able to reach a human being on the phone, the woman was rude and sarcastic.
I think it is telling that this company only has reviews of 5 stars or 1. None in-between. The negative reviews are full of real details; the positive ones are "perfect" and probably done by company employees. Also, when Proline responds to our negative reviews on this site, they apologize but do nothing to make amends. As noted in so many reviews below, this company does not tell you ahead of time that there will be an extreme delay in receiving your purchase. In my case, the more than one-month delay has held my entire project up, and the rude "service" has made me not want to support them.
Now I see there are plenty of bad reviews out there for Proline - for the long shipping time, bad service, and worst of all, for the products themselves. I cancelled my order with one hour to spare! I'd rather pay more than deal with such a sketchy company. I'm sorry I didn't do more research a month ago, but hopefully I can help someone else by posting this review."

"STOP. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. They don't keep their word or their deadlines. I placed an order on 9/28 for a range hood and was told that it takes 15 business days for the order to ship. I called in after 15 business days and they said the order is not ready to ship since it got processed on 10/2 and the 15 days counter starts from when the order gets "processed". That was the 1st lie. So by their calculations the order should ship on 10/23. I call on 10/22 to confirm and they said it's not scheduled to ship until 10/26 because they have containers blocking the warehouse doors. At this point I cancelled the order and purchased the same hood through Z-Line Kitchen (through Amazon). I will never do business with them again nor do I recommend them to anyone"
"We ordered an item on September 12th. We received a confirmation email on the order that same day. About two weeks later, we called to check the status of the order and were told the item we ordered "ships from the Ohio warehouse in 15 business days." However, this was never mentioned when we placed the order or we definitely would not have ordered the item from here. We follow up on the 15th business day which was October 2nd. We were told it had only been 12 business days? Not sure how they count business days? As of today, we still have not received the item purchased. All they tell me is that it ships from the "Ohio warehouse and there is no tracking number available." When asked if I could please speak with someone at the "Ohio Warehouse," I am told there are only 2 employees at that location and they don't have a phone? REALLY? How do you run a business with another location if they don't have a phone? I asked to speak to a manager, who conveniently wasn't in the office. The customer service representative did not mind when I mentioned we were going to have to cancel the order, did not mind that I said I would leave negative feedback on their company, did not do anything to help us out. I would definitely not order anything from this company. HORRIBLE service, terrible shipping, etc. I am now cancelling my order and will find another product.
UPDATE: Canceled order on 10/8 and was told my $674 refund would go through on 10/9. Still have not been refunded my money. Luckily, I paid through paypal and a claim/dispute has been filed. THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE!

"I placed an order with Proline hoods for $1250 on Sep. 15. Then telephoned them on Friday Sept 21 inquiring about the order. They told me it's on its way to be shipped today. Waited for a week nothing turned out, so phoned them again on Sep.28 and they kept me on hold for several minutes, then told me it's going on the first truck out today. On Monday Oct 1, phoned them to track the order and they told me it's going to take another week before shipping!! So I wanted to speak to Spencer the manager which can not be contacted for some reason!! but failed. So phoned them again on Tuesday Oct. 2nd and the only one you can speak to is a rather rude phone receptionist that tells me 'do you want to cancel the order'!!!!! I have waited all this time on false hopes and lies by the company to tell me this !!!! You can judge for yourself !!!! my advice is to AVOID these dishonest people at all cost! one last thing, if you want to put a testimonial on their website, their manager, the illusive Spencer has to approve it before it is published!!! that why you''l never see anything negative about this bad business! Do business with them at your peril. They'll take your money and keep you hanging !!!! The choice is YOURS!
The Proline hoods responded with excuses that it is an oversized item !!! in reality, it is a 42" hood and their website claim they do 60"??!!!! what a bare face lie of an oversize. Look at grmbishop experience and feedback about these guys, it's virtually identical to mine, what does this tell you about this awful business!!!! You can judge for yourself!!! for me I'm going to file a complaint with The FTC Bureau of consumer protection of Utah to expose such malpractices by this company!"
““We do apologize you feel your experience here with us was not great. We do try to get our hoods out to our customers as soon as possible. Unfortunately, in this case, you ordered an over-sized hood that we do have to send FedEx Freight. With it being a bigger hood it does take time to pull it for inspection and to get it ready for shipping. Any of our hood that need to go freight do take about 2-3 weeks. If we can get it out sooner we will, but again they take time to get ready for shipping. Our General Manager, Spencer, is in and out of the office everyday. Any of our representatives are able to help and pass any messages along to Spencer if it is something that he would need to resolve. Even though the hood is smaller then our 60" it is still considered a over-sized hood. Anything larger then 36" is considered on over-sized freight charge. "Worst company to do business with... EVER!
If you call in, someone will tell you your order is on the truck and shipping out the next day. I have called in 3 times now and each time I get that it's on a truck. I was told by one person the truck goes out once per week and by someone else the truck goes out only when it's full. No one knows what they are doing over there at all.
I received my tracking number on the 5th of this month; it's now the 24th and it's still not shipped. But cancel your order and no one cares. The lady just about hung up on me (but was nice about it) and that was that.
I called back to speak to a manger and I could not get one. I would have had more faith that order would go out (this time) if I could get someone with just an inch of authority to erasure me my order would go out. Nope, they would not put a manger on the phone and said if I continued with my order, it would have to be put back on the truck. I find it odd that were able to get it off in 10min!"
"I purchased a 30 inch under cabinet hood on 8/24 and the item shipped in 2 days. Was on my porch 6 days later coming across the country. I love the hood. It is as beautiful as it is functional. Everything about the transaction was great and I would happily do business with them again. "
