"Ordered from Amazon Prime, delivery was scheduled for 2nd of June. I receive an email on the 1st saying there was an attempt to deliver; they left a location for a pick up that's far from my location which defies the whole purpose. I call and demand a delivery, and they say after 3 days. I requested a call or an email before the delivery with the expected time. On the said day, I call their customer service, and I'm told that they can't locate my package, call again tomorrow. Instead, I called Amazon, and after being on hold for a very very long time I'm told that it will be delivered the next day, It was already 5 pm, so I left. At 5:25 I get a call from my buzzer from a rude guy, I tell him that I'm not home and he can leave it in front of my apartment. I rush home to find a paper saying "we missed you" and again with a location for a pick up that is far from my place. They expect to deliver at any time and any day, and we be there waiting for them? Then say "we missed you". I still didn't get my package, but at this point, I'm done with the calls, holds, and rudeness, but what to do. Worst service ever from both Amazon and Purolator. I wish I can give a negative rating to express my frustration. I already unsubscribed from Amazon Prime, what else can I do? "
"I was waiting whole day for the urgent delivery. Driver had my full name and apartment number. But instead of find my name in the tenants list he put the note that "Address correction required - no entry code". So I did not get my item and decided to return it.
Not the first time - terrible service!!!!!!!"
"I am a disabled Canadian Veteran and do most of my shopping on-line because I'm unable to leave the house on most days due to my medical condition and the medication I take daily. A few of the companies I regularly order from use Purolator as their shipping choice (I don't get any other options) so unfortunately, I have to deal with them frequently.
EVERY SINGLE TIME I've had a delivery being made to my house, the driver already has the "Not at Home" slip already filled out and just hangs it on my door without knocking, ringing the bell or any way to try and leave the parcel with me while he's here. I am 100% sure that there is no knock or bell since I have a service dog that alerts me when someone is at my door, and we are almost always about 15' away, directly in line with the door when he leaves the tag there. This means that I have to drive all the way across town to pick up the parcel myself since they only make one attempt to deliver my package to me and they only hold it for a few days. Many of my orders are large and expensive (a $2,000 electric bike or medications I need immediately) so I won't allow them to leave it at my door if I'm not aware if/when it's being delivered.
So, after emailing their customer service 4 times on separate occasions for the same issue, I finally got fed-up and made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Customer Service from Purolator emailed me saying they would make the delivery ASAP and I waited another 5 days before the driver came back. When he finally did arrive, he held my package back, looked me in the eyes and said, "How is your day going?" I replied that it was just fine and then he pulls my package back so I can't reach it and tells me, "Well, my day isn't so good because SOMEBODY made a complaint to the Better Business Bureau about me and I've never had anyone complain about me before!!!" Needless to say, I was mortified and felt very threatened by him and his accusations and couldn't believe that they would tell him that I had made the complaint about him!!! I need to use this service since it's the only way to get some of my medications (they don't use Fedex) and the only way Costco sends their parcels.
I live in a fairly small town with many retired military veterans, many of whom are also relying on good delivery services for their daily needs. If I have to pay to get something delivered to my door, I don't want to just see a piece of paper stuck to my door with directions on when/where to get my parcels by myself.
So now, I had an order that was supposed to be delivered on 16 Sep 2016 and when I go to their site to track my package, it says it was attempted delivery while I was at home AGAIN and has been delivered to somebody named "L. Froski", NOT ME, and in a completely different town than where I live!!! Seriously, I'm not making this stuff up!!! Can't wait to hear what customer service has to say about this one!!! I'll certainly be entertained, I'm sure.
So, unless you want to pay for delivery service where you have to go across town to pick it up anyway, or even risk having it delivered to someone else in another town, AVOID PUROLATOR AT ALL COSTS!!!"
"My nomination for worst customer service ever goes to Purolator Courier of Canada. I called them to have a large package picked up in Canada and brought to me in the U.S. I requested Ground Service at $57, because Express was around $400. Before I hung up, I double-checked "That's going to be Ground service, right?" and was assured it would be.
When the driver went to pick up the package, he did not communicate any of this information. He made the sender fill out the waybill, which does not display an option for Ground Service. Instead it reads "U.S. Deferred", which is Purolator secret code for Ground. After the sender checked off Express service by mistake, he didn't correct them.
Now Purolator is claiming the waybill has precedence over my phone request, even though they knew it was a mistake. I can't afford $400 for a shipment, so I refused receipt of the package. They are returning it to the sender and are going to try to bill the sender for the return. How are these people still in business?"
"I ordered a camera lens from the US to Canada which was shipped with Purolator. First, Purolator customer service claims to be unable to track the package before it reaches Purolator offices in Canada. It was supposed to be here in 5 or 6 days. After two weeks, I had nothing (not even tracking information). Customer service only says they know nothing about it...
I contacted the store's customer service, who decided to contact Purolator directly. They found out the package was missing..."
"WoW, worst shipping company ever. They take way too long to deliver, and they have the WORST customer support, phone is always engaged and their emails take days to get responds. It took me 2 weeks to get a package after it was in their tracking system from BC to QC."
"I got a call from Purolator this afternoon, telling me that I am supposed to pick up a parcel at their depot; it also informed me that this is the last day that they would keep it for me.
The driver didn't leave a bill of lading and probably did not even attempt to deliver the package, and just drop it off at the pickup station.
This is not the first time this happened to me. The service that I got from the pickup depot sucks, the girls there are rude, uneducated and simply do not care about their customers.
"
"It was my own fault to not mention the buzz code to get into my apartment, but it seemed that Purolator does not have efficient method to contact the driver who is carrying my shipment in order to change my shipping information. I had to call their customer service several times to fix this problem. Highly unrecommended.
My previous experience with Canada Post is better than Purolator, and since Canada Post's standard is pretty low... You get the idea."
