"Just placed a phone order with Big Box Superstore for a Samsung 60" UN60F8000 Smart TV. After reading all the reviews I was prepared for the mandatory "shipping insurance and handling fee" ($186 in my case) and as a Florida resident, knew I had to pay 6% tax on the unit as well. So what? The price dropped $150 from yesterday and I'm getting the exact same TV that would cost me nearly $900 more at any of the major retailers. They claim it's in stock with 3-5 day delivery so we shall see. If all goes well, I'll post an update to this review upon delivery and setup.

Update 10/14/13:
The TV was delivered just 4 days after ordering. Shipping company called me the day before to arrange delivery date and time. They would not do Saturday delivery so I had to take off work. Bit of a hassle but OK. Driver called me 30 minutes prior to arrival so I could meet him at the house. He helped unpack the TV and to check it for damage. Everything looked good so I signed for it and setup the TV that afternoon with no issues.

The TV is awesome and BigBoxSuperstore surpassed all my expectations. I'd shop there again. Could have saved sales tax by buying at another online seller in New Jersey but didn't like some reviews I read about them.

Tried to pull the 'ole "bait and switch".....purchased 60" flat screen tv................BUYER BE WARE!!!

Said it was free shipping then some slick New Yorker transplant called the next day and tried to gig us for another $145 for a delivery charge.

Yes shipping was free but they needed a delivery charge...go figure...

Butch of crap....won't ever deal with Bigboxsuperstore.com again.

Found same tv cheaper at another site

"I was very leery for this website because the prices for the TVs
I wanted was more than 450+ dollars cheaper than the big 3 (Bestbuy , Amazon, HHgreg).

I brought the f8000 series form Samsung 55" and 46"
they were NIB order to delivery was about 5 days (order early monday morning received on friday afternoon)

"BEWARE!!! BEWARE!!! BEWARE!!!!
Admitedly a low price leader BUT what good is a low price if you never receive the merchandise.
I purchased, or believed I purchased a pricey large screen TV - over $3,000.
I receved three separate, on three separate days, an email telling me that there was a problem with my order and I should call. I immediately did (3X) and what was the problem? They did not want to sell the TV at the advertised price without my agreeing to "add ons" which would have brought the price up appreicably.
They know at what price they are willing to sell something at and if they don't get it, one way or another, they will not complete the deal. My credit card (for which I pay a premium) covers me when something is not delivered or broken by the time I get it. They insisted and would not sell me the set unless I agreed to expend more money, initially for insurance, but who knows what for thereafter? They of course tried to sell me their extended warranty, but I did not want that (Consumer's recommends against it) and again my credit card gets me some extension of the initial warranty.
I spoke with these people on the phone (3 X) and each time they indicated "okay" but each time it was followed up with an email telling me the need for my call to them so they could "up sell" me. After almost a week it became obvious that they would not honor the deal they had made without my paying additional amounts. Eventually the order was cancelled. If they had been forthright and honest up front I could have made an informed decision and decided if I still wanted to buy the TV at what was now an increased price.
Oh, they initially gave me a discount but by the second email that had vanished. I would not call it "bait and switch" but their tactics must fit under some named scheme.
Save yourself the aggrivationa and headache and deal with a brand name seller - you may pay a bit more (some claim to match a price) but it will be worth it.

"When I initially placed my order, I was not happy with the extra charge that was added to my order, but once I spoke with the right service agent, we came to an understanding/compromise and I will say, he did a great job and I received my TV just as expected (on time, perfect condition, great delivery service). I am a satisfied customer and would buy from them again, but with the initial complications, I cannot give them a 5 star rating but I am very satisfied with the end solution/service and give them a 4 star. Thanks Erik for all your help!"
