"On Wednesday I called and spoke to Sy to get some info on the Canon PC170 copier. As I found out, this machine has not been manufactured for many years, but he had refurbed ones in stock. I ordered one, and he said it would be shipped next day. On Friday, it was on my doorstep, perfectly packed with all components needed. I was extremely satisfied with Sy, and his customer service to help me with my needs. I certainly would not hesitate to order any other items needed in the future."

"This is a bait and switch company plain and simple. They advertise items at a low prices then send you an email stating you need to confirm your order for "security" purposes. Then they tell you there was a problem with the order and offer to sell you something else.

"Ordered three reconditioned printers online, as the price was reasonable. Received an email shortly after asking me to call about the order. Spoke to Sy. He started out by saying "Because we've sold so many printers to your company before, just wanted to make sure you were ordering the correct one". After convincing him that these are, indeed, exact replacements for the printers we want, he then drops the news that the ones I ordered do not come with fusers. "That is specified on our web page...we do not include "consumables". I am sure many people in this industry might know that a fuser is a "consumable" and may have picked up on the note, but for the person who is not versed in the technical jargon nor maintenance of printers, it is not clear.
Just make it plain and obvious that a reconditioned printer does not contain this critical component and that it will cost an extra $100 to get a plug and play unit.
Sy then stated "BUT you are in luck...we have 4 of these printers in stock....with fusers....only for $100 more each."
I told him that this seemed fishy and that I would need to talk with our IT guys. I called back the next day and cancelled the order. Talked with Sy again. He did not argue with me about cancelling the order."
