I had an overall positive buying experience from Roberts Camera, however 3 things were a little annoying with my purchasing experience.
1. I didn't appreciate it that I had to enter the phone number for my credit card company. I had to hunt up my credit card and squint at it to read the phone number. In all my years purchasing from web merchants, I only remembered one other retailer who required this. Please don't make customers go through all kinds of hoops to make a purchase. You want to make the purchase as easy as possible.
2. Please get rid of that Master Card Secure card form that is required to fill out! I don't like it! It's a nuisance! I don't want to sign up for it as I don't want to have to go through another hoop to make future purchases.
3. I felt the shipping was way too expensive. Shipping charge of $16.24 to ship a little CF card that weighs a few ounces? Just too much! Anymore I expect free shipping if I purchase over a certain dollar amount. Many retailers now offer free shipping with a purchase over a certain dollar amount, usually $50 or $100 which my purchase would have qualified for. It is one of my pet peeves having to pay a lot for shipping. Makes me think about patronizing another retailer who offers free shipping. Thanks."

"I purchased a DSLR back-pack that they showed 1 in stock. When they were preparing my purchase for shipment they discovered they did not have the item in inventory after all. They immediately contacted me to inform me of there mistake and offered me a refund or another choice. I decided to choose another back pack.
The one I chose was more expensive then the original but it was the only one that had all the same features.
Because of there mistake they sold me the more expensive bag at a significant discount.
All in all they provided excellent customer service and I would highly recommend them."
