"I have ordered parts about 20 times from RockAuto.
About 15 of these orders were filled and shipped as accepted on their website.
The others had problems:
1. Wrong part shipped. (Ball Joint)
2. Order cancelled - out of stock no ETA (starter motor).
3. Another wrong part shipped (tie rod end).
4. Another part ordered. Received an email - no stock available from their supplier. No ETA. (alternator).
5. Received email indicating the shipping $19.00 on their database was wrong. Actual shipping price $31. (Rocker panel trim).

My advice. Don't plan on anything being IN STOCK until you receive it - even if you receive an order acknowledgement. OR call them immediately if the part you need is critical to the job getting done.

By the way, their shipping costs are a bit high."

"I have purchased from these guys twice now. Once for a sensor that 3 other auto sites kept sending the WRONG one, they were the only ones that got it right. It was also the best priced and shipped super fast. I also recently bought an AC condenser, they were over 50% cheaper than pepboys, autozone and advanced auto. Came in 2 days, reasonable shipping. Very happy and will continue to come to them first now! To those complaining about ordering a part and then needing additional parts... it tells you what you're getting if you or your mechanic don't know what other parts need to be replaced at the same time, that's your fault. It's not their responsibility to say well this bracket may also break or be rusted etc, and you may need to replace it.

"I hate to say it, but Rockauto.com rocks! I save my customers a ton of money with their quality parts. If my customers find out about them, I will lose money on parts, because previously I never marked my parts up, but once I found Rockauto I found out I could get better quality parts LESS than what I was paying for inferior products from the other parts store and make a little bit on the sale. "Ordered from RockAuto.com after my car was in a wreck. Was told by one body shop that it would be $2400 to fix my car so the insurance company total loss my car for $3,500. Took it to a guy who fixed it for $400 and now I'm back on the road!!! I only spent $1300! Rock autos parts were cheaper than autopartswarehouse.com and they ship fast!
