"My mistake for making a purchase from this place. Not only were the items cheap looking but they stole my money to boot. I chose not to keep the junk they sent me (total of around $154.00), so returned the items. My return package was prepared by a family member so the suggested steps for return were not followed (registered with a signature confirmation). Naturally, this company denied ever receiving my return. All the legitimate companies I have ever dealt with online provide customers with a return label with all the tracking information for their customers; not so for this company. I believe this is one of their ways to get away with stealing customers money......if a return isn't registered with a return signature confirmation, how simple for them to deny they got the package and the money is theirs to keep. THINK TWICE BEFORE ORDERING.....not only is the chance of the item being junk but make sure any return can be verified.

UPDATE::::I did receive a refund. I feel that my initial distrust of a company I have never purchased from before may have been a bit premature. I am willing to give them a second try.

"BRITISH BUYERS BEWARE! The costs of shipping are ridiculous, I paid less for the actual item, plus extra costs after it arrived. I have never had any problems with recieving goods from oversea's before now. To go with this the customer service team were less than helpful. I will not be buying from Ross Simons again."

"Do not use this merchant! The product quality is extremely poor and not as pictured. One item arrived broken. The return policy is strictly enforced...no matter what. I learned an expensive lesson and will never purchase from Ross Simons again. There are many other online jewelers that are wonderful and have great products. I'll be spending my money with them from now on."

"I've had a similarly bad experience to other users on this site, and so it seems this is a repeat problem with this company. Ross-Simons gets the award for single worst experience I have ever had with a retailer. And I guess they take pride in being the worst because, despite many pleas by me to please resolve my complaint, they still haven't.

My husband ordered Christmas jewelry for me from this company, and at the time the order was placed, there were bright flashing banners all over the site indicating that the item would arrive in time for Christmas. The item was not listed as backordered at the time of the order, and my husband paid for rush shipping. Unfortunately, the item did not arrive in time for Christmas. It did not even ship before Christmas.

Five days after the order was placed, and two days after Christmas, we received an email indicating the item was backordered. Not very useful to us at that point since it was too late for Christmas! We immediately called customer service, and things only got worse from there. The woman on the other end of the phone was hostile from the moment my husband spoke to her and actually yelled at him! There was no meaningful resolution offered. We were told the order would ship out the next day. It has not. She defended the company's practice of falsely advertising product availability, and offered no concessions.

I posted on the company's Facebook page hoping I might get some help there. The page moderator kept promising I'd hear from customer service but, to date, I have not. My complaint is not an isolated one, either. Their facebook page is filled with customers complaining of the exact same issue, all of whom state that they got horrible customer service, and none of whom state that their complaints have been resolved. The response from customer service on Facebook has been defensive and unhelpful. I will never do business with this company again, and suggest that anyone looking for pretty jewelry check out one of the many other online retailers that do not treat their customers this way.

"I like Ross Simons. You can't beat their deals. They are one of the few jewelry stores online that offer GENUINE, untreated precious stones. The pictures on the website show candidly the inclusions an he rings look exactly like the picture shows. They have very accurate ring sizing."

"This store should be avoided at all costs. The point of going to a 'high end' jewelry store is for the service. Don't be fooled. They are atrocious and quite difficult. After a month of waiting for my purchase, and numerous delays (not to mention my time and energy dealing with the jerks), my ring finally came in. I brought it back (foolishly) to get resized for 'free'. They resized it, and ruined it in the process. After an attempt to fix it, I refused to deal with them any longer. And after them promising to 'make me happy' numerous times, they did nothing. They didn't even care."

"Really disappointing experience again with Ross Simons! They advertise a sale and then after ordering -- the next day they tell you it's not available. Really poor website! They cannot guarantee availability if you order on the web!!! So why buy from them???? "

"I have placed more than a dozen orders from Ross-Simons, all items exceeded my expectations, and the prices *I* think are superb. I've had to return a piece or two, all returns were handled in a timely and efficient manner. I've ordered jewelry, stainless and silver flatware, and other decor items.

"I purchased a pendant that was shown on a silver chain and the description stated "sterling silver chain". When only the pendant arrived, I contacted customer service and was told that the pendant does not include a chain. I then explained that the description stated that it included a chain and the photo of the item showed it on a chain. After researching the item, they got back in touch with me and informed me that the necklace could be purchased separately, but does not come with the necklace. Not even an offer to accept a return of the item. Beware!"
