"I was building a system for a friend and ordered an AGP 7800GS graphic card from Scan in February to give him the best AGP performance with my spare old S754 motherboard. Just after the card arrived, however, I realised that I'd missed a trick, and really should have bought him a PCI-E 7800GT with a new PCI-E mATX motherboard, which would have given him a 30% performance boost for just an extra 40 quid, and he wouldn't have to throw away the card when he upgraded the mobo. I explained my dilemma to Scan and they let me RMA the 7800GS even though it was in full working order. My money was promptly refunded and I happily ordered the 7800GT & new mobo from them. I've never had such service from a retailer and I'll certainly be sticking with them for any new system purchases. "

The entire transaction was completed in 2 days (including the finance company requiring a paper based confirmation) and the order arrived a day later, Excellent packaging, good value for money (not always the ultra cheapest but for the service a few extra pounds [literally a few] is defiantly worth it!). Everything is working, I have now migrated to a full AMD 64 bit system with PCI express and SATAII hard drive with dual channel memory for a fraction of the price of some of the big manufacturers and am now ripping through BF2! After serious trouble with another systems builder, probably the best known on the net, I went to scan. They could not be more helpful or professional. The system they built for me was top quality, runs like a dream and is more than i could have hoped for. Custiomer service was excellent throughout the whole process and the website very very informative. Delivery was swift and as they told me it would be. I spent 4000 pound with scan building my system. Do I expect the best of the best for that money? Yes. Did Scan deliver on EVERY front? Oh Yes!!!

"Designed my own 3xs computer on their website, top of the range with an FX60 processor and twin 7800 gtx gfx. The computer is very fast, amazingly quiet, and very well built, all the cabels inside are of top quality and well tied up. scan also sent the motherboard box with lots of cabels and stuff they did not use, making adding extra drives very easy. Also, the 2 free games that came with my gfx cards were supplied.
Best of all was the customer service, lots of communication, and I even got free Sat delivery as I had to wait an extra week, although this was only as there were virtually no FX60 chips left unsold in the country."

"Just ordered a Viewsonic VX924 monitor with Scan. The price was very competitive and I received the monitor next day as promised. I was very impressed with the service and they've just become my new favourite reseller!

I was especially impressed with the emails they send to update you of your order status. You get a total of 5 emails: The first is the actual order details listing the price and various other information.

You then get a further four emails detailing the exact order status!:

1. Invoice printed / Awaiting authorisation
2. Payment authorised
3. Order picked / Awaiting despatch
4. Order despatched

Cool eh? If you ordered an enourmous amount of goods from them, then I could see this getting annoying, but i'd bet you can turn it off on your account if you so wish.

"Execellent after sales service, I contacted SCAN's Customer Service getting through in less than a couple of minutes on 18 November for an RMA on 512Mb DDR PC2100 memory that I had identified as having a fault with memtest86. They issued me with an RMA and I posted the memory to them on that Friday fully expecting it to take a couple of weeks for it to be tested and returned. To my surprise it arrived on the following Monday, this type of service makes a good company great."

"My third order from Scan in the last month or so, and excellent service as usual. The Kiss DVD Player was cheaper than anyone else that I looked at so I was pleased.

The ordering system is always very good,and updates of order status are spot on. I've been ver happy with the customer service and emails are promptly replied to.

Although the delivery charge is somewhat high if u order small items, it's always on time so a small price to pay.
