"Placed order. Selected correct ship to address. They changed it to an address I have not lived at for 6 years!! Won't change the address, it hadn't even begun to ship yet. Guess someone else will receive a loved ones present and I will be fighting for a refund. NEVER USE SEARS FOR ANYTHING!!!!!"
"I ordered a product that is hard to find from one of Sears 3rd party sellers on their market place. Big mistake. I thought a household name like Sears would be safe and reputable to buy from. When the seller sent the wrong product my only recourse was to go directly to the seller for a return and refund. The seller ErgodE approved the return at my expense. I have emailed them several times with no response. Sears makes nearly impossible to reach customer service on the matter. I truly feel swindled out of my money. If I had checked reviews on Sears I would have never ordered from them. Live and learn. Please don't order anything from them or their market place. They don't deserve to be in business "
"I got a treadmill paid almost $400 for it , suppose brand new , sold by sears but the seller is Imall seller , I got the treadmill took time to put it together, to find out that $*&! I have been a customer with Sears for many many years. The 1st craftsman lawn mower I purchased lasted me for over 25 years. I had it serviced every year until it finally died. I purchase my last craftmans riding lawn mower and again had if service each year. I have had it for 4 years now. It was not running right this year and I had to wait for months to get it serviced. I had made my first appt. which I was scheduled out 1 and 1/2 months. I got an email the day the service man was suppose to come out telling me you all had to re schedule and was pushed out another month +. When he showed up he serviced the lawn mower and I was charged over $600.00. He had told me that I may have to replace my carburator in the near future as Sears did not rebuild carbs. I went to use my lawnmower and before I finished mowing the yard it was running extremely rough. I can't not tell you how disappointed I was. I can assure you I will never call or go to Sears again. I had a young man come out and tear the carburator out take it back to his place and come back and put it back in the same day. He charged me $100.00 and my lawn mower is running like a champ. I will not be calling you for service or purchasing any more items from your store as it has gone downhill. I will not recommend Sears either. Not sure what has happened but your products and service have really gotten bad.

"Bought two Baxton mid century dressers. They came unusually quick. I opened one of four boxes and found the boards inside were old, water damaged and crumbling. Even the styrofoam was old to the point of being desintigrating. I immediately contacted Sears for a return. They pushed me back to their third party seller, "Vir Ventures". Vir Ventures said they don't pay for shipping on returns. The boards were so bad, I wanted to pay to have them shipped back to get my full refund. They offered me $50. To keep them. Because of the condition of the boards, I said no. It was obvious these boxes had been sitting in a damp warehouse for years.
They recieved the dressers and refuse to give me a refund because a particle board was broken in half . They pictures and I know this was done deliberately. The box that board came in was not damaged and had no bed. I only opened the big box with the outside pieces and that was damaged when I got it. They sent me back to Sears and Sears led me to believe they were investigating it. They lied and stole my money. The dressers were about $10000.00 and I paid $400.00 in shipping for a return. This is unacceptable! They send damaged old smelly products and won't refund a cent. Time and $ wasted on junk. I have never felt with such nonsense. "
"Sears Marketplace is not Sears.
I bought a PS5 from a seller and I sent it back.
It was for a school auction, but due to the old and damaged state of the product boxes I couldn’t use it.
Beware the sellers are not Sears. The name of the company I dealt with is Entrotek."
"On January of 2021, I purchased an Ancheer Treadmill through the Sears Marketplace. 10 months later, the motor nearly caught fire. Since then, They (Ancheer) have sent 3 replacement motors, 2 lower control circuit boards and 1 over-voltage sensor. Each time, the replacement motors would burn up, one excessively smoking at 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
All replacement circuit boards immediately indicate the motor as the problem (via the 3-blink error pattern), yet none of the replacements have been even marginally usable. I have told them the motors were a fire hazard and they continue to advise that it is safe to use, encouraging me to trust their opinion. After much investigation on my end, it clearly appears the welds for the motor mount are crooked, causing greater loads to be placed upon on the motor. They stated this is not a defect, as if it was designed and manufactured to run in that fashion.
There was no way to know or even suspect this problem existed until 10 months after purchase. They want me to use a treadmill with a known and repeatable fire hazard.
This may easily be a reoccurring problem for others who have purchased, or may purchase one of the Ancheer treadmills through Sears Marketplace. I’m afraid this will catch fire and burn my house down… or worse if used as they contend.
Fortunately, I have kept all emails….

"I ordered a dress and it did not fit. I have not been able to get good help on the return process. I wili NEVER PURCHASE from Sears again. "
"Stay far AWAY FROM SEARS & their DELIVERY!!! I have had the absolute worse experience EVER with Sears!!! I will NEVER order nor use this company ever again! I ordered my refrigerator on 11/5, I just today 11/26 received my refrigerator after Sears tried to deliver me 2 damaged refrigerators. The third attempt the delivery comp told me the refrigerator got to the warehouse 20mins after all the delivery companies went out, how convenient! This made 3days of missed work with still no refrigerator! I’ve called customer service numerous times to ask for a supervisor and they just take my name and number but no one EVER CALLS! I really was left with NO Refrigerator for freaking Thanksgiving!!!! Now today I finally get a refrigerator and I’m informed that they can’t connect my refrigerator because there’s no shut off valve behind my frig. NO ONE INFORMED ME THAT THEYRE NOT ALLOWED TO INSTALL MY REFRIGERATOR WITHOUT IT NOT BEING THERE, so that I would have time to go in my basement and find it for them! When I attempted to do that they tell me they don’t have the time to wait! This is so ridiculous and all the delivery comp can say is sorry we meant to tell you that! WTF! STAY FAR AWAY FROM SEARS"
"In the past, I had a very short experience working for a Sears store. Aside of this experience, of which I am not here to speak on, I always enjoyed the option of heading to Sears for great quality products and hardware I could believe in! One of the greatest service for the person who bought tools that Sears offered was guaranteed returns, especially on the Craftsman brand (the closest I've found in this practice is Menards).
I'm not here to dispute business mergers and acquisitions but to point out that of ALL the illustrious retailers who mostly offer good (sometimes great) customer service, what Sears did for their customers best has yet to be duplicated! I'm always leary of customer complaints online, they are good and bad; sometimes a great service or product or worker are unfairly rated by completely unrealistic patrons while fewer accolades that are earned hardly are given time or energy to be produced. In our hyper-competitive economic arena more care should go into allowing reviews to remain after a company has resolved a customer complaint. Whereas we need reviews for better customer service there's also a need to discourage emotional unintelligence from having free flow online. We run into unreasonable people all the time and some are reading this because they love negativity and now feel powerless that I'm not operating in the low skillset of complaining, who's lives are sure to be indicative of seeing most things negative.
In closing, I just want to say, as customer were committed to purchasing to Sears the retailer (in my experience) was committed to giving their customers a distinctive customer service experience. "
"I can see why Kmart and Sears went/are going out of business! My experience with both the corporate and “home town store” is the WORST customer service experience of my ENTIRE LIFE! I paid over $900 for a washer and dryer along with another $100 in delivery, installation, and parts from sears.com. After waiting for a month, I am told “the home town store” will not install the machine because of COVID. I have resorted to writing a certified letter after calling the corporate customer service phone number for weeks now asking for a refund. My understanding of what I have been told is that the customer service representatives do not have the power to issue refunds.
Just in case Sears tries to claim the $70 fee constitutes exclusively a delivery charge, as a few of the representatives of Kmart Sears have argued when I called Kmart Sears Customer Service, I took screenshots of what the “Delivery and Basic Hookup” entailed according to sears.com. This included, but is not limited to, "attaching washer legs and provide consumer literature,” “connecting washer to the conforming hot and cold-water supply," "level[ing] the washer and connect the drain hose," and even "test[ing] your new washer to ensure it performs properly." Unfortunately, the agent performed none of these tasks Sears promised me at the time of purchase. Furthermore, I bought a $22 dollar hose that the website “required for installation;” I would not have bought said hose but for the promise that Sears would install My Washer and Dryer.
After looking for weeks, I finally found someone to install my washer and dryer for a fee outside of the $70 I paid Sears. While this repair man installed the washer no problem, the dryer was missing parts. I asked the repairman to write down what I needed and took that to the “home town store.” After my first visit, “the home town store” staff sent me back needing information that, in my opinion, they did not articulate very well. Luckily, my repairman agreed to go to the store and talk electrical jargon with them.
While I sat in my car outside the store waiting for the repairman so we could entire the store together, a man who works at “the home town” store knocked on my window, made a comment that I perceived as accusing me of theft, and gave me the same trite remarks about not being able to help me. Once the repairman arrived, we went into the store. The same man from before spent several minutes looking in the back for something and returned telling me he did not have the part. I asked him if he could order the part, and he made a suggestion that I was out of line. I left, before I actually committed misconduct, exclaiming that I am done with this whole process.`
The entire time this is going on, the man that I am 99.9% sure is the manager of the “home town store” is sitting in a recliner chair acting like a child with other people. I was tempted to record them, but they looked like junior high kids cutting up and having a good time. Luckily, the repairman found all the parts and installed the product for me; I consider him a blessing from the good Lord!
Although there are two sides to every story, I wish I would have bought from Home Depot! "
"I bought a new garage door opener (Chamberlain) from Sears Online, they contract out to a (3rd party) installation, I paid $130 for install directly to Sears Online, the company is not qualified to install this brand, they never gave me a refund as services were not rendered. Stay away. I will never use them again, plus there call center in Asia is so unorganized, and there phone staff has a extremely low IQ and not trained properly."
"Sears used to be the place to buy appliances. Their customer service is now non-existent and they lie and deny. I could not recommend Sears anymore, once they get your money they could care less."
"I had a crack in the window of my Sears purchased Kenmore stove. I ordered the new parts through searsparts direct back on 21NOV20. After receiving an email from Sears every Monday morning since, I finally ordered the parts through PartsDr.com. The parts came to the house 3 days later and I installed them today. Not only did Sears not have their own OEM parts, I saved $5.24 going through partsdr. Com.
This is an ongoing issue with Sears!! Every appliance in my home was purchased from Sears, to include a snowblower and chainsaw. How disappointing. No stove for thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years bc Sears can’t even find their own replacement oem parts. Pathetic! "
