"I purchased dishwasher parts back in march. It had a lengthy expected ship time. Not a problem there, I expected possible delays. 3 months later I called asking for an update. I was told the "vendor" hasn't shipped it yet. 2 weeks later I called again for an update. Still, the "vendor" hasn't shipped it yet. A month passes, I call and ask for a refund. I am told to expect it in 7 days. I do not receive the refund in 7 days. I call back, and the person explains to me that they are waiting on the "vendor" to issue the refund. I wait another week. I call back and pretend like I never asked for a refund; I asked this time if I could get an update on the shipping date. As you may expect by now, the "vendor" still hasn't shipped it. I ask for a refund again explaining that I wasn't going to drop the call until I spoke to a manager. Manager gets on the phone and assures me in 3 days I will receive a refund. I didn't know until recently after speaking to a friend of any options at this point. The amount wasn't a huge sum, but I would like that $100 back. Doesn't seem likely and I can't really sue them for $100. Side note, I completely understand the impact of COVID on businesses. This is not the problem. The same dishwasher parts I was able to find in many other places. I found a better price, ordered the parts and received them in 2 days. So its not like a computer chip crisis for graphics cards by any means.
Under no circumstance should anyone researching this company do any business with them. You have been warned.
Another note: I just checked my account and now it shows my order has shipped. No tracking info, no shipping date, and the other two parts that actually shipped still have a tracking number I can click. Shady??? ABSOLUTELY!"
"They sold me a bad part no refund."
"Dishwasher part was on backorder for 4 months (arguably not their fault), so I called and cancelled order (decided just to buy a new dishwasher). After waiting on hold over 30 minutes, the Operator said I would get refund in 3-5 business days, but over a month later nothing. I disputed the charge through VISA and got the charges reversed, but it should not have been that difficult."
"Ordered part on sun, site says in stock, still in stock on Mon, but not yet shipped. I call to inquire when it will go out, only to be told it's now a back-ordered item... WTH!!!"
"I ordered main module for my cooktop on 7/25/21 which supposed to be delivered on 8/2/21. When i check the order status it was showing on processing so i decided to give them a call. Rep told me that it was going to arrive on time which was on 8/2 but did not show up. I called customer service they said somehow module didn't ship out and they created another order which will arrive on 8/10/21 (hopefully). I have my family who came overseas staying with me 3 weeks and i can't cook anything "
"Awful terrible and **** poor service and still don't have the part I ordered"
"in a nutshell dont order from this website, they are a scam. i ordered a part June 1, they immediately charged my account, 2 days later i get an email about a part being on backorder until the end of June. So knowing i really needed the part, i decided to stick it out thinking it might come in before then. each time i would go check order status, i kept showing that it was put on backorder again, and again, etc. Finally, by July 1, still no part so i call and ask them for a refund. Some dude from India answers the phone telling me ok, he will "request" credit but it has to go through his refund dept and i would get an email confirmation from them in a few days...a few days go by, no email and no refund so i call back and this time some indian chick answers the phone. she proceeds to give me a line that she has no record of me calling in their system that is why no refund was issued so she gives the scripted apology and pretty much gives me the exact same line the indian guy gave me about "request", the whole refund dept and in 2 to 3 days should get an email. Well guess what ? Still nothing so i finally had to make my bank eat it since i charged it on my debit card by getting them to issue me a credit knowing they probably will never collect from this scam operation. DO NOT, and I repeat DO NOT order anything from this bull crap website"
"Ordered on June 10th 2021 and was billed on that date 24 hours later I checked on my order no results. Called the number and waited 45 minutes. The representative said the system was down and took my order number and said they would call back . 18 days later no call. I called again and had the same response the system is still down. I just had to contact my credit card company to get the charges removed, they said they have had many similar issues.
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS WEBSITE"
"Searspartsdirect.com said a part was in stock so I ordered from them. On the scheduled delivery date they said it would be delayed for 2 months. After spending boku time trying to cancel the order 3 times and 3 times being promised a refund in 1-3 business days they still have my money and nd continue to send me more emails saying the shipping date has been further delayed. Do not do business with searspartsdirect.com."
"Placed an order for an IN STOCK item on March 10, 2021. After several phone calls, I was unable to get any confirmed order status and was repeatedly told the "Fulfillment Dept" had been notified (whatever that means). Now, 19 days after the order was placed, I'm told the item is no longer available and that I may have to wait 7-10 days for my refund to be processed. I don't think so.
To make this even more ridiculous, I'm looking at the Searspartsdirect.com site as I write this and it still shows the item as In Stock. Perhaps if their "customer service" people (and I'm using the term loosely here) would've actually lifted a finger to find out what was going on with my order, rather than read canned responses and continually defer me to some fictitious "fulfillment dept", they would've been able to save me several weeks of waiting in vain and a bunch of additional wasted time on the phone. Oh yeah, and I'm still without the replacement part as a result.
Completely unacceptable. I won't be ordering from Sears ever again. It's no wonder they're barely holding on."
"I needed a washer part and was in the process of ordering and gave my billing information. Tried to cancel the order because instead of $50 with shipping, I found the part for $16 including shipping on Amazon. Obviously the order did not cancel and I have not been able to use my credit card since because of a 'pending order'. This outfit says there is no order but again, credit card company says different. I will not use this company again!!!!"
"Bottom line, do not order from them unless you want to waste hours of time on the phone getting a refund for parts they lied about being in stock when they were not. Here is the full story: I needed a repair part for my fridge. Most other places did not have it in stock. Searspartsdirect website said they had it in stock, I called them to confirm they really did. I was told yes it is in stock and ready to ship. I placed the order 5 days later my order status still said "in process". I called them back and was again told the part was in stock, they weren't sure what the problem was but they would make sure it would ship right away. Three days later, it still said "in process". I called them and asked them to cancel the order, I was told it was cancelled, but it would take 3-5 business days to receive a cancel notification. I waited about 10 days with no notification, it still said "in process". I called to see why it had not been cancelled, I was told the order was never cancelled. I finally threatened to call my credit card company and refuse the charge and they once again said I would get a cancellation email in 3-5 days. This time in 5 days I did get a cancellation email, however they did not refund the $9.99 shipping charge, for a product that they never shipped! I had to call them again about the shipping refund two more times, waiting 5 days in between before they finally refunded the full amount. Wasted hours on the phone when they knew from the start the part wasn't in stock. They drag it out as long as possible and make getting the refund difficult. One of my worst online shopping experiences ever. Don't make the same mistake I did!"
"I learned the hard way that Sears partsdirect falsely lists parts as "in stock" when, in fact, all they do is order the part from the manufacturer when you place your order. However, they will continue to assure you that your part is in stock while they string you along for an indefinite period of time while they try to obtain it. I was lucky enough to get someone on chat that explained their scam in detail. So, they are more expensive than most sites and completely unreliable. STAY AWAY!"
"The Sears PartsDirect web site inadequate, their billing, shipping, logistics do not work together as you would expect.
I ordered a part from my dishwasher, because I wanted it fixed.
I ordered a part from Sears PartsDirect on Feb 3, because they has the part in stock and the estimated delivery date was within a week. On the same day, I received an email from Sears PartsDirect stating the estimated delivery date was February 11. On Feb 8, I received an email stating there was a temporarily delayed is shipping the part. When I checked on the new estimated delivery date, it was over a month out. I called to cancel my order, and I was told to expect a refund within 2-3 business days
On Feb 22, I was told that Sears PartsDirect was unable to cancel the order. That I would have to return the part. How do you return a part that had not been ship? As of today, my order is in "Pending" statue, and every time I have looked the Sears PartsDirect website shows the part as "in stock".
The same day I initially canceled my ordered with Sears PartsDirect, I ordered the same part from AppliancePartsPros.com. I payed more for the part, but I got the part in a few days."
"Part needed was listed as 'in stock' ships in 3-5 days. Apparently it was NOT. Been 6 months now, and multiple inquiries. No information provided. They refunded my money (fortunately)"
