What a Rip Off

"Ordered hepa filters for a Kenmore Cannister vacuum that their webist says are In Stock. After waiting nearly a month with no order updates, I called customer service and asked for a refund. While the original order was over $55 including tax and shipping, the amount of the refund was only $41. No explanation, and no opportunity to refute why they were keeping $14 and didn't do a damn thing.
Will NEVER use Sears Parts Direct again.

A total rip off! Do not do business with this company.

"Order a part in March for Kenmore vacuum cleaner, relied on the website for correct part number using machine model number. The ridiculous shipping fees drove the cost over $30.00. When the part arrived it was the wrong part. I contacted the website to return the item and get a refund only to be informed that there was no return on the part. Today I received two email messages that they were sending the part ordered in March. I called the only number they list and after persistence in dealing with their automated answering system and waiting on hold I was able to speak to a human being. He sounded as if he was in the Asian subcontinent and assured me that today's notifications were a mistake. I waited on line for a promised chance to evaluate the experience, but the person would not disconnect and told meI had to hang up to do their survey. Apparently another lie."

TERRIBLE COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH!

"I ordered a part for a lawn mower in November of 2023. Every two weeks I would receive an automated message saying the part is back ordered. On March 17, 2024, I received a message saying the order was cancelled with no explanation in addition to the fact I never received a refund. I had to call them 2 weeks later to request my refund even though they cancelled the order. The person I talked to said they automatically cancel orders if they are not after a period of time. The person then told me they now had the part in stock and asked if I wanted to reorder. She said part would be shipped that day and that I would receive it in about 4-5 days. I reordered part, unfortunately after two weeks of waiting I still had not received the part or any confirmation. I had to call them back againand then was told that they had a software update and that was the reason for the delay and that it would ship in a couple days. After waiting two more weeks and not receiving the part or any confirmation that it was being shipped, I called cancelled the order on April 29, 2024. It is extremely difficult to contact them to talk to a live person and when you do they lie about the status of the order. I am not sure what country they are located, but their English skills are very poor. I will never attempt to order anything with this company again. By far the worst company I have ever done business with! "

Do not order parts from here

"I've been waiting for a part for 3 weeks. Every time I call them the tell it's in process. So finally I ask for a refund and guess what, they have to process that too. I would rather have my part but if I'm going to get jerked around then send my money back and I can buy another brand. Please don't expect parts from these people cause they will pull your chain."

Used to be my default go-to store for parts, now it is borderline scam

"For many years this was my first and usually last stop when shopping for appliance parts: selection, prices, communication, shipping - everything was great. But recently all of it changed dramatically, feels like the site was hacked and now it is running online scam.

I placed le last order on March 8, the expected delivery was March 14. Today is March 19, the order is still "in progress". Tried to call, was not able to get through the robot to a live customer support, maybe they eliminated it altogether. The robot is sending me useless text messages "Estimated delivery Thursday, March 14, 2024", that's the extent of their customer support now.

Since the order never came within the promised date, and the company is unreachable, I am going to dispute the transaction with the credit card.

Part needed 3x original price after never receiving order

"I ordered a small part for my washing machine (~$30 for the part) that was listed as in stock in August 2023. I called twice and with some maneuvering was able to speak with a customer service agent and not the automated machine. Both times they said they send requests to the factory to ship my product. The customer service agents I spoke to were great and did their best to help me.
This week in January 2024 I got an email that my order was canceled for me. I checked their website again. The exact same part I ordered is still for sale and listed as in stock. Except the price of the part is now $97.78. Triple the price of what I ordered it for back in August.

One Star is Over Rating This Company

"I wish we would have read reviews prior to doing business with this company. We ordered an OEM glass stove top for a GE stove (Part #WB62X25973). The cost of the part was $544.78. In less than 90 days of receiving this part my wife was boiling a pan of water of the stove top using a double boiler. when the water started to boil there was a loud snap and the glass top cracked. Prior to that the stove top burners had been used occasionally but definitely not overused or abused..
We contacted Sears Direct and were informed that they only warranty parts for 60 days and we were outside that period. I demanded a review since no extended warranty had been offered at purchase which seems reasonable for a part well over $500. I spoke with a supervisor who told me that someone would call us within 3 business days. No one did. We called again and were advised that the request to replace this part had been denied but that they would credit our credit card for 10% of the purchase price. The credit was not advanced. We called again and were told that the 10% refund had been denied. We asked to speak to a supervisor but the person we were speaking with was resistant and kept coming back on the line saying someone would call us in an hour. We insisted that we wanted to stay on hold to speak with her superior. She finally came back on the line and offered to replace the stove top which we declined because it is of no use to us now since we disposed of the stove because they initially refused to replace the stove top. She then offered the 10% refund. We now had the question as to why they couldn't refund the entire purchase cost if they could replace the stove top. She said she wasn't authorized to do that. So again we asked to speak to her supervisor. She said someone would call in an hour. we declined and said we would stay on hold. SHE HUNG UP ON US!

TRYING TO RETURN PARTS

"My husband ordered parts for the bagger on our Craftsman Lawnmower by phone and they do not fit our bagger, we have been trying to get thru by phone to no avail. My husband is 82 and is not computer savvy so I tried to follow the instructions to do the return online (NO LUCK). We received an email telling us that a part was backordered until November,2023 so I replied to the email telling them to cancel the order and the problem we are having trying to return parts. (It is now past 30 days thru NO FAULT OF OURS. So if we should happen to receive a reply it will probably say IT'S OVER 30 DAYS.
I can truthfully say that I have enjoyed doing business with SEARS in the past, but the Chinese must have taken over, because it's not the same SEARS.

Charge CC on order placement not shipment; Do not refund shipping if their error

"o Unlike most reputable companies (e.g., Amazon) SPD charges your credit card when you order, not when your order is shipped. I’ve been waiting over 10 months for about $90 worth of parts. The big concern is that SPD has little motivation to actually ship customers’ backorders, i.e., they have the use of customers’ funds at no cost to SPD whereas they lose access to most of that money if they actually ship. SPD hypes international supply problems in their status e-mails and on their help line. There could be millions of dollars in cash due to backorders across thousands of customers. Are those funds in escrow or are the funds used to fund executive salaries and bonuses? And, if SPD goes bankrupt, who is looking out for the customers’ interests versus the execs.
o If they ship the wrong part, SPD does not refund shipping charges. This cost me $15.99 on a return (SPD’s error; I ordered the correct part number).
o If they ship the wrong part and you want a replacement, you must place a new order, which cost me an additional $5.32 due to a week-to-week price increase (so SPD’s error cost me an additional $21.31 = $15.99 + $5.32). To their credit, they shipped the correct part when I re-ordered the same part number.
o SPD makes it impossible to speak to a human being via their automated phone system. They do not want you to speak to a human being because you might challenge their policies and actually succeed in receiving fair treatment, e.g., having shipping charges refunded when SPD made the error. No human contact means they avoid facing confrontation over their unfair policies. The obvious solution, of course, is to try to find another vendor in the future (Amazon?). That is my plan.
o In choosing SPD, I evaluated other repair-parts vendors and chose SPD because I thought I would received better treatment than some iffy competitors. I even paid a significant price premium ($40, which turned into $61.31) to deal with SPD. This was based upon my many years experience when SPD was part of Sears, rather its current owner Transform SR Brands LLC. Lesson learned. Stay away if possible. Use SPD’s web site to identify the part you need then purchase elsewhere.

"The parts are wrong, it took a long time to receive them and when I called for a status I even told them it they didn't have the correct parts, to not send them. I mean, I use a business to get what I need, not something I can't use and the they are still in the packaging, but no refund, now I have to try to sell them elsewhere. Don't use. "

Didn't Ship, Wouldn't Refund Full Amount

"I wish I would have seen all these reviews before I ordered from them.

I ordered a part that their page said was 'IN STOCK'.

They billed my credit card instantly.

Four days later they send an email stating that they _don't_ have it in stock, and they don't know when it will be back in stock.

So I canceled the order.

It took a LONG time for them to credit my credit card, and then it was for less than what they charged me.

And there's no one to contact- the phone numbers don't have any appropriate options, and no way to talk to an actual person.
