"Presale support from SCG is fantastic. The Gail+Kat videos make me laugh while I learn, and Kat is very good about answering questions posted on Facebook and Youtube. I even called the store a few times to ask a question and got a straightforward and helpful answer. I feel like I got a great deal, with package savings of $100 when buying a grinder with an espresso machine, plus the machine came with $80 worth of accessories.

I had the misfortune of receiving a damaged machine, but when I called SCG I was immediately told a return shipping label would be sent at no cost, and I was given an assurance that my replacement would arrive by Friday. Their shipping department comes across as disorganized though, because the tracking number for my replacement was "Voided by seller" with no explanation. I had to call for the replacement number, but then call back a third time because its new expected delivery date was not Friday. SCG was great and upgraded me at no cost to 2-day air to still make the Friday delivery date.

In the end, the videos helped me choose a machine I am very happy with, and they did meet their promises with the replacement unit. I will still say their shipping department seemed out of the loop on the customer service though, because neither e-mailed tracking number was correct in the end, and I needed to call to get the right one. I would recommend SCG since my case was probably an anomaly (getting a DOA unit). I will keep my subscription to their Youtube channel going too, even now that I have a machine!

"DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY! STAY AWAY! I wish I had read the negative reviews prior to purchasing. This has topped all experiences for me as a consumer. BUYER BEWARE!Had purchased 2 very expensive espresso machines.Both "just" off the 12 month warranty. Needed repairs as the grinder quit on machine #1. Machine #2 the water pump had quit. They billed us $185 for each machine and neither machine worked. They took our $ and never repaired the machines, just sent them back to us.Never even made a full cup of coffee. FRAUD! staff and ownerrs were rude and they now tell us the machine is not fixable. Dawn then told me to "take the machine to someone locally" maybe they can fix it!!!!! Unbelievable how they treated me. $1000 machines that only made it to one year. Both machines were "lemons" and they refused to replace and/or fix the machine.I was told they were unsuccessful in making a resolution. They also have the worst record keeping ever and put you on hold for long periods of time. They lie when you ask to speak to certain individuals. They tell you they are not in the office. I am taking further action on this company. They DO NOT DESERVE TO BE IN BUSINESS. SPREAD THE WORD!!!!"
