"Absolutely wonderful to do business with. Honest responses to question, exceptionally helpful, quick delivery, superior website."
"Quick service, price for this same part was less expensive through Seattle Coffee Gear than any other online store I could find. I've done business with them in the past for repairs and thier parts service is just as outstanding. "
"Super slow shipping. Not arrived yet. From order to arrival by UPS, 12 days. It may be free shipping but it shows a lack of concern on their part. I would have paid for the shipping if they would have shipped it when the order was placed, and not waited for 3 days. Second time, so the fault is mine for going back to them I suppose."
"Perfect as always! Packed safely, arrived in a timely fashion, exactly correct in every way! Seattle Coffee Gear has never disappointed me! I have to say, I read through other reviews and I can give people two tips--if you do not understand the internal workings of an espresso machine, don't buy parts! Have a professional at SCG diagnose and repair it for you. I have ordered parts for my Ascaso through them for years, flawlessly... Think of it like a car--if you are not a subject matter expert, you take it to a mechanic... same should go for an espresso machine. If only SCG had replacement parts for my La Marzocco Linea and Mazzer Super Jolly! :-)"
"Satisfactory service, with the possible exception of rather high S&H charges. However, this will not keep me from placing an additional order"
"Purchasing via the website does not increase my rating. It took several attempts to complete my purchase."
"From the first time I saw a Gail and Kat video I knew I was going to purchase an espresso machine from Seattle Coffee Gear which one I had no idea I went from Superautomatics to semi and back and forth from one brand to another until I came across the former artist formally known as the Starbucks Sirena video and knew that was the one for me. Watching their video about the Sirena called to me "buy me buy me" I liked that it had some of the bells and whistles of a Superautomatic but it is a Semi and I like the retro look I also like that it had a portofilter that could be pressurized or not. Anyway I really like dealing with Seattle coffee gear and have since place a second order with them, They are a super and quirky company that I just adore. Now if I could only learn to do Latte art as good as Gail LOL By the way out of the box and primed I made my first cuban coffee and it was pretty good the next day it was even better. I am one happy camper with my purchase."
"It was fantastic. The prices were perfect and my package arrived quickly."
"This place is Top Notch. First time doing business with and everything has gone off without a hitch. Bought a great coffee grinder (Barataza Vario-W) that also gets excellent marks. Kudos to SCW!!"
"I was interested in purchasing the Rancilio Silvia and Rocky grinder. Altogether about $1000. I can buy it without paying sales tax and without driving 90 minutes if I wanted to purchase online, however I wanted to support a local business. So I decided to buy from Seattle Coffee Gear. I wanted to buy it as a gift and for a variety of reasons Saturday afternoon was the only time I could make it over there.
I called right before leaving to ensure the availability of both the espresso machine and the grinder. I also told them I was interested and on my way. (It is a 45 minute drive each way and it was approaching their closing time.)
I arrived at the store about 10 minutes before they closed. I asked to try it out. They told me it was turned off and would take 20 minutes to warm up. Ok... Odd, but I was still interested. I waited around for about 8 minutes talking to two of the employees until another employee walked out. She immediately turned it off and said that they couldn't demo something 2 minutes before closing and wanted me to come back on Monday. I said that wouldn't work and she said too bad, they were closing and couldn't demo the unit.
If a customer tells you they are coming in to look at something, why wouldn't you have it ready. If you know you are close to your closing time, why wouldn't you inform that customer that they need to arrive by a certain time for a demo. If it were my business, I would continue working with the customer for 10-15 more minutes if they are in your store to make a purchase.
If none of the above work for you, why would your response as a store representative be "you can't show up 2 minutes before we close and expect to demo a unit" instead of "we are so sorry, but we are closing and we unfortunately can't stay late." In other words, why would you attack the customer instead of taking a more conciliatory approach.
I won't be back."
"Excellent service and the product is working as expected."
"As always, easy to use website, great product selection and great shipping service from SCG. "
"We just received our machine and love it. Everything is as promised. The shipping, packaging and instructions were
perfect."
"Great prices, quick shipping, got what I ordered. What more could you ask for? 2 thumbs up."
"The online experience is good, parts were delivered quickly, web videos are helpful and customer reviews are beneficial. This retailer rides tall in the saddle."
