"Same experience as others. My battery is less than a year old, I believe it's a Die Hard Gold? Anyway my auto mechanic has a tester that tests cells. Been having problems starting my car. He tested my Die Hard and he said one cell is defective.. My battery simply does not hold a charge if my car sits a few days. Checked my alternator and regulator and both are good. So after 4 days of not driving my car, my battery is too low to start the car. Today I tested with my VOM and it tested at 7VDC. First time a month ago I took it back to the Advance I purchased it at, they threw it on their "tester" and they said it was good, just low. So they did a rapid charge and told me if it fails again bring it back and they will give me a new battery. A month later (today), same thing happened. Took it back and today this time the store manager was there. I asked him does his tester test each cell? He said yes.. however he could not show me that it actually tested individual cells, only that it was at 7VDC. Again, said he'd rapid charge it and give it back to me that it's good and he would not give me a replacement battery. The store I was at is in Orlando, FL Waterford Lakes area. They basically lie and don't stand behind their warranty. Shame on you store manager for lying to your customers and not standing behind your battery warranty on a battery that is 6 months old. So I ended up having my auto mechanic get me a different battery at his cost. I will not deal with Advance Auto Parts again. Rude manager and lies. "
"I ordered a part online. Paid extra for 1-2 day shipping. My part will not be delivered for 5 days. I chatted online with 3 people. As soon as I said, "I want a refund for shipping." the chat magically ended due to connection each time. I finally got a phone number and talked to a live person and they told me, "It's 1-2 business days." Is says nowhere on there sight about business days. Then they told me, "The best we can do is offer a $20 coupon." The shipping was more than $20. Don't waste your time or money with them. Poor customer service, deceitful web site, and like I said, "They rob you!""
"On 09/30 I went to the store to get a battery for my daughter's car. It was kind of late because Iam working 12 hrs shift, but it was 20 minutes before store closed. The employee Jason W asked me if I will give them the old battery which I replied yes once you install the new one in....and he got the nerve to tell MA'M THAT IT'S SO RIDICULOUS !!!!!. The website established that once you buy a new battery installation is free. He could use other way to express himself but no, very unprofessional. I understand store was about to close but it was NOT the customer service expected. I still got the battery on the trunk of my car, and I think I should return it, get my money back and NEVER go back there

Battery was dieing,so I took the battery up there to get it tested,guy told me the battery was testing low, but the battery not bad,he pulled up my purchase and the warranty was still good,but he tells me he can't,replace it because battery not testing bad, but testing low then he tells me something causing it to test low
So I leave and go to three other places,and all of them tell me the same thing,that the battery is bad it has a bad cell,so I go back to the store tell them I got 3 more test all said bad battery,so now the manager wants to tested it himself,he tells me what his employee had told me battery testing low it's not a bad battery so I ask how is three other shops telling me the same thing.
The manager got mad and started being a smart a##
And didn't up hold my warranty,so I reported to corporate,they tell me they can give me 20 percent off my next purchase.
I told them no thanks cause I will not ever shop at another Advance again
So you guys shop at your own risk!!

He gave me the wrong part box I showed him recieot, then he reliazed was wrong came back with 2nd box (relay) I went home tried it, was wrong. Brought mere 21.76 part back he refused as is electronic was plugged in can't resell !! Wouldnt consider that it was entirely his fault, apologies and make right. "Before you buy anything from advanced auto go online and make sure that its not on the list of non refundable items that nobody in the store will tell you about.
They wont tell you at the store or online before you buy something. Also, be aware that some of the items on the list are actually CATEGORIES! Fore example The Bullet point "AC" stands for ANYTHING that's part of, or connected to, the AC system! The only point when you will be told of this list is when you try to return a item and they refuse to process the return. Their only response will be to give you a paper with a number to call. The person behind the counter will say that it might be a quick call, but they know that is a lie, as the company on the other end, (NOT advanced auto) does not have the ability to do anything. The company will only be able to provide a physical street address that you can PHYSICALLY MAIL A LETTER TO! Ending the call by stating very clearly, that they are NOT guaranteeing anything will come of the request if it is mailed. I bought an AC compressor from these people for over 500 dollars, and its now nothing more than a paperweight."
"This review is for the Henderson, nv store on Warm Springs Dr. Ordered a new block ($5,000 + $500 core deposit) and they delivered the wrong one to the mechanic. Hassel getting it back to them so they could get the right one. Mechanic had to take it too them as they did not want to pick it up. Finally get the right on and mechanic holds on to the core to make sure it is the right one. After 3 weeks Mechanic call them to pick it up. They kept saying they would but never did. Mechanic finally loads it on to their parts delivery truck when it delivered parts to them.
Adam, who took the order and keep following up on it for me, is no longer there. Children must have run the competent ones out?
I ask about getting my core money back and was told I had to wait for them to ship it back to a 3rd party. Told them I paid them not the 3rd party. They would not budge. Told them I was going to file in Small Claims court and they had a hissy. Nothing but problems with them. A bunch of spoiled brats that could care less about customer service or customers. They know they will get paid regardless how they treat customers. Does the corporate office should care about their Brand if these children do not?

"Had a 10 month old $170 battery fail to keep a charge. They charge it a couple of times, it reads, on their meter, that the cranking amps are down 70 amps and the manager says, "that battery is good as hell! Right after that experience I purchased a Cartman load tester and it read “weak”, which means it’s under 200 amps. That tester is accurate, because I tested a new battery and it came back exactly as rated, 900 amps. Bottom line is that Advance will not honor their 3 year warranty, and I believe they have deceptive test equipment. I will never step foot in an Advance store again."

"I purchased a set of wiper blades in the Avon, Connecticut store in October, 2020. The blades were eligible for a $10.00 rebate. Submitted my rebate claim online. The fine print of the rebate indicates that the rebate will be given in an Advance Auto gift card. Of course, none of the in-store advertising says that, so the consumer assumes they will receive a check.
Rebate processing site e-mail confirmation says gift card will be sent in 6-8 weeks. So far it's been 12 1/2 weeks...still no gift card"
