"My Samsung 67' dlp tv that I got on 01/08/09 with a $ 400.00 extened warranty, only got it because the salesman said the only thing that would ever go wrong with this unit, would be the lamp, that makes the picture and without a warranty it would cost me big. Guess what happened on 04/28/11 the lamp goes out, so I call the store I got it from, they tell me a repairman would call me, when he has the time to do this, well it's now 05/05/11 nobodys called me back yet, I called them to say, whats going on and they said, none of the repair people carry a have a lamp or have one in stock and these are Samsung repair people, I could have Fedex one from the N.J. heardquarts of Samsung over night and to say that there is not one lamp, some where on Long Island, I think is bad for the service of the stores. Would I tell any one to buy something from these stores again, NO, they leave you in the dark, without a call back, who knows when my tv will be repaired, not these people. So to all the people I know in the Nassau, Suffolk, N.Y.C. police and firemen, these people DO NOT honor the warrantys they give you, think twice before buying from these stores ever again. * After speaking to a Mr. Richard Rella, from Sixth Avenue Electronics Corporate Headquarters, who emailed me to call him about this experience, I was having. He told me that this is not the way 6th Ave. should have handeled this and that someone in a chain of people, who should have done their job, with me and left me hanging and waiting for a return phone call, fail in a system, where this should not have happened, in the first place. After hearing him out, I regret having made this email complaint in anger and I would like to take back the things I said, 6th Ave. does honor their warrantys and people like him, make sure they do, they have a system in place for taking complaints from us, when we feel like the store people, could care less about what we have to say. So I would like to say I'm sorry, for the things I said and would to say with the people I know in the above statement, to only go to 6th Ave. for whatever you may need in electronics. "
"We had a problem with a Curtis DVD6091 home theater system in which the dvd player would lose picture after a couple of hours. The young ladies at customer service were prompt, efficient, and civil. They sent UPS to p/u package and then quickly processed full refund to our amex account. We sent a thankyou to them and got a thankyou back from head of customer retention. We highly recommend to friends & neighbours and will patronize 6th Ave. in future"

"I purchased a telephone from 6th Avenue Electronics through Amazon. Found it at a great price and they canceled the order on me citing "no inventory". I went directly on their web site and they clearly showed "in stock" and "ready to ship". But the price was higher. I don't like the integrity of merchants who can't stand by their commitments."

"I made a purchase online 3/21/11, website says ships w/in 2 business days and I will be notified via email. Its already 23rd 3pm no email from vendor I called customer service. I was told package will not ship until Monday due to site upgrade and they (veronica) will expedite the shipment. I said okay.
now it is 3/28/11 I received an email the Item is oversold.
I called customer service lady (Veronica) said last item is damaged.
Now I have no choice but to get my money back.
On my side I am expecting the Item this Thursday "VERY IMPORTANT" for me to get it. I even told them when I first called them. 6th Ave electronics wasted 6 days to find out they don't have a stock. They never even called or sent an email on the progress of the purchase.
Now I have two days to buy the item in a retail store buy they are issuing refund with in 24 to 48 hour which I bet means 4 to 5 days!
really really disappointing and frustrating!
do not buy from this vendor! they don't know what they are doing!

"What amazing customer service! I ordered a HD receiver for Direct TV and was under the impression from Direct TV if I owned the receiver I would not have to pay a monthly service fee. Wrong. Direct TV said I would still have to pay the service fee even if I owned the receiver. Didn't make sense to keep the receiver. I called 6AVE to find out about their return policy and was delighted to speak to Jennifer who knew all about the confusion with Direct TV and offered me a full refund including shipping. I was off the phone in less than 3 minutes. In today's world of no customer service. 6AVE still knows how to deliver and exceed a customer's expectation. "Bought through buy.com. Panasonic Viera TC-L42U22 - 42" Widescreen 1080p LCD HDTV
I was buying from the west coast (Orange County, CA) and purposely bought from buy.com because they are quasi-local. I was not happy when I realized that 6ave would be handling the purchase as they were in NJ. That is a long way to be shipping an LCD TV and the chance of damage while in transit was pretty high.
This TV was packaged incredibly well. The original box with all it's styrofoam was encapsulated inside another box with box-to-box wrapped foam protecting the TV. Neither box showed any wear or tear from the long trip and the tv was obviously in perfect shape when I pulled everything out.
I would not think twice about purchasing another TV or anything else for that matter from 6ave. Nice job guys."
"I like ordering from 6th Ave, but they shouldn't use UPS anymore. I got 2 speakers left outside on my steps and it was suppose to rain that day. I had left my porch door unlocked just so they could put the speakers inside to keep them dry. Thank god it didn't start raining until later that day. This is not the first time UPS has done this with my packages....all they do is ring doorbell and then leave the package on the steps. I know cause they have done this to me before and my daughter in SC complained of the same thing happened to her husbands expensive speakers left outside their house at Christmas. Maybe if everybody started using FedEx Ups would be more courtious with their customers merchandise. "

"Wasn't shopping for a new vacuum but finding replacement bags is becoming more difficult for my Hoover upright w/onboard tools that I love. The price was the deciding factor and it arrived within 2 days after purchasing! I am pleased at how well it cleans, no buyer's remorse. The only con is that this vaccuum is rather heavy, making the transition from 1st to 2nd floor somewhat difficult. I would recommend this Hoover Cyclonic Vacuum Cleaner without hesitation."
