"I haven't received the my product yet today is 12-9 and ordered it on 11-23. So that 12 business days to receive an item. Also it turns out that I need to call the shipping company to get the item WTF!! They can't use UPS or FEDEX who actually delivers the item. Got to go cheap with a third rate shipping company. I am afraid to see what condition my item is in when or if I ever get it. Safe to say this is the last item I purchase from these people. Complete and utterly wrong."

"I found ordering from 6th Av. to be one of the best, if not the best, business transaction I've completed on the internet. The product was exactly as advertised and the delivery after payment was the fastest I've experienced thus far.
Finally, the price for the GPS unit was unbelievably low.

"Attempted to buy two 42” Panasonic TVs from 6th Ave Electronics because of the aggressive price and that I like to support local retailers (too much of my $$$ has been going to Amazon). When I bought it on Thanksgiving, the site said “In Stock,” but not having any experience with 6th Ave, I double checked with their C/S a couple of days later. The operator – who was very friendly and helpful – assured me that it was a) in stock in their warehouse and b) it was going to ship using their in house carrier later that week to deliver Tuesday at the latest.

Tuesday came (a week and a half since purchase), no TV except I got an email at the end of the day saying that they were, in fact, out of stock, and that they’re hoping to get stock in soon, totally contracting the person I talked to a week prior. All the plans we had for later this week (Verizon cable hookups, Geek Squad to mount the TVs, and my son’s sleepover birthday party watching a movie) are shot. Now I can’t even schedule the cable/wall mounting appointments until I physically receive the TVs, because who knows when that will be? Probably be another two weeks until we get to use the TVs.

My wife wanted me to just order it from Amazon and be done with it. And she's right – their competitors selling the exact same item for the exact same price would have already delivered the order by now, if not days earlier. And if they couldn't, they would have at LEAST said that the order was backordered with the vendor, and NOT in stock, so I could plan accordingly. But my $1.2K order has been held hostage while 6th Ave, behind the scenes, acquire more inventory from the vendor, telling their customers that it's "in stock," while I could have ordered from somewhere else a week ago (at least) and perhaps even received it by today, had I known otherwise. In fact, if I call their automated service right now, it states that they’re "in process to ship from one of our warehouses," the exact same response I got on 11/30. That's just vague enough to sound like it's going to ship any moment, when they don't even have it from the vendor.

I could have canceled the order and ordered elsewhere, or not ordered at all, but now my $1.2K is held while 6th Ave mismanaged their inventory and misled customers. This is a game some retailers play with consumers. Post an aggressive price, who cares however many units they have in stock, and hold their money hostage.

"Everything went well...smooth transaction. The shipping date was a little later than I would have liked but this was Black Friday shopping time so I understand the delay. Great price on a great product. Was looking for a 50" tv in this price range and once the Black Friday website that I monitored posted the info, I snatched it up!"

"I have to say, this was my first time purchasing anything from 6ave.com. I got an incredible deal on a plasma tv, which I still haven't seen cheaper anywhere else. They notified me that someone will call be prior to delivery, which was very nice because I work a lot. They did call the day before and the morning of delivery. When it was delivered it was in excellent condition and the man delivering it was very pleasant and very careful. He opened up box and we inspected the tv together for any damages. There was none. I will definitely purchase from 6th Avenue Electronics again.

"On November 19, I received an email saying that the item was already shipped. I have tried to contact the company about the order.On December 5, I had a conversation with the customer service and they said they were going to call to see when I was going to receive my product. Today is December 8, and I have not received my product nor have i have been contacted over the matter. All I have received is my credit card statement where they already charged me for the prodcut. "

"This is about my fifth purchase from 6th Avenue [second TV] and I have my son-in-law and friends buy from them as well. Their prices are great and specials are even better. The store people are very helpful and the website is super as well, sometimes with even better prices than their brick and mortar stores and very helpful if you call the toll free number.
I used to buy at Best Buy or PC Richards and Amazon or Crutchfield but those guys just cannot compete with 6th Avenue.
This latest purchase was an LG PK250 50" plasma TV. I ordered it on Tuesday night Nov. 17th and just two days later received a call from the carrier who let me select the delivery date. I picked Sunday, Nov 21. They called me on Saturday and gave me a four hour window for Sunday. The driver called me 30 minutes before reaching my house. I thought I was going to only get a front door delivery, but he and his assistant unpacked it and set it up on the stand, hefted it up in into my large wall unit, plugged in the HDMI cable and waited to see that it was in perfect working condition.
They told me to hold on to the carton for a week just in case something went wrong or in case I wanted to return it. but the TV is just great.
Their web site has excellent and complete descriptions of the products, ordering was fast and easy, and delivery was even faster than I expected -- and on Sunday as well.
As you can see, they have made a regular customer out of me.

"We purchased a Panasonic 50 Plasma TV, dealing online and in person. All experiences were very professional. It was delivered today by a very nice gentleman, and the tv appears to be in great shape. We are getting it hooked up to HD satellite on Tuesday and can hardly wait to see what it looks like. It has been a very pleasant experience dealing with 6Ave Electronics."

"The shipping and everything from 6th Ave was fine. However the product delivered had a pixel already burned out of the TV. 6th Ave's policy states they do not handle any warranties or returns for anything 32 inches or larger. The vendor they are selling (Curtis) will not return emails. Overall not a great buying experience. I'd look elsewhere for a vendor that stands by the product they sell. I know I will be. "
