"With the war going on in the Middle East, we needed to cancel our trip to Egypt. I had purchased trip insurance so I thought I would get my money back -- especially given a war. Unfortunately, I must have not read the fine print closely enough so we could only get a credit and it had to used within one year from the date or original purchase (six months from now). That was really frustrating. I would never have paid $1,000 for trip insurance had I known that. Mel was very helpful in getting us rescheduled to use the ticket within the timeframe necessary. He is patient and thorough. No problem with Mel. He does his job well. But the company leaves something to be desired. Did I mention there's a war going on? And now, we had to pay for upgraded trip insurance for the NEW ticket (another $1,200) to be sure we can get a refund if for some reason we have to cancel this second trip. So, in the end, we didn't really save any money with SkyLux. Between the cost of the tickets and $2,000 in insurance I think we would have been better off getting a full-price ticket we could cancel. "
