"Bought the treadmill and used it everyday. The treadmill started to squeak very loudly even though I lubricated the deck after a month or two. I called them and some guy came in and "fixed it." After about a month the same problem occurs. A guy comes in and fixes it again. Eventually the treadmill begins to stop by itself. The customer service rep said I needed to lubricate it because it must be overheating. I told him it was lubricated and some people came in to check it out. They confirmed it was lubricated and that there should be no problems (after they adjusted some stuff). I start to run on it and after a week I start to smell something really bad. I get off the treadmill and notice that the thing is literally smoking. I call the customer service rep and they said they would help me and get some people in. This was in April. No one comes. After calling for ages I finally get someone who can "help me." He says he will email the customer service reps. They were emailed and I got no reply. I call him back and he says he thought they came in to check it out. Obviously nothing of the sort happened so I was back to square one. Literally. The guy even told me that "you never said it was smoking." Isn't that the whole reason I called? Nice lie. This was around mid-June, mind you. Yes, it took that long. After calling a whole bunch of times and the guy yelling at me despite the fact that I have never raised my voice with any of them, he tells me he will look for someone other repair people. The guy comes in on Sunday after missing his previously scheduled time to come in. It's the same guy as before. Hmm, what a coincidence, huh? Maybe he quit his old place and went to another repair company... yeah. He checks the parts and says he will request for an order on a couple of them, the main one being the motherboard(?) which was fried. He tells me it should come in in about two weeks. After this he tries to rush out of my house without even putting the cover back on the treadmill. Why? He took his girlfriend with him for some reason and she was waiting in the car. Yup. How much more of a joke can this get? This is August, just so you know. After waiting for two weeks I decide to call the Smooth rep again. This was on Friday morning. He told me that he doesn't know what's going on and promises to call me back by the end of the day to get an update. He gave his standard "YOU HAVE MY WORD" statements, which he said many times past. I wait and receive no call. I call on Monday. No one answers. I leave a message. No one calls. This continues for two weeks of me calling almost every day and leaving multiple messages. No one calls but then I receive an email at the beginning of September saying I have an order being readied. After two weeks (today), the order still hasn't been shipped. I call them again and the guy tells me that the part hasn't come in so they're waiting for it before it can get shipped. Yes. Tells me it will come in by the end of September. I asked for his guarantee. "I hope" he says. I hope too, man. I hope, too.

For those who like to skip to end with that jumble of text: I've been waiting 5 months for them to fix my treadmill. They still haven't. Joke of a company. Absolute joke.

" Bought a Elliptical Machine less than 3 years ago, The reason that I bought this particular machine was for the Guaranty!!

The numbers of the Digital Display are fading away, I was told that that, was not cover by the Guaranty???

The guaranty is for lifetime for Frame and Braking Sys and 10 Yrs Parts!!.
I contacted the service Dpt,and was told water may have caused the damage? I e mail the customer service Dpt and I was told was the light of the display? I had the machine checked and the display failed!!
Stay away from this company as they will honor their warranty!!

"Am completely satisfied with the treadmill, which is HUGE compared to my old Keys fitness, and so far really love the MySmooth Virtual trainer, (It is a tad expensive especially when paying what you do for the treadmill) but it really makes the walk/run go much quicker. Only problem I had was the shipping. Nobody got in touch with me as to when it left N.J. and when I finally tracked it to CEVA they had it sitting in Philly for 5 days and also in transit at the same time. Lousy tracking . And when it showed up at my house the treadmill had no mat which was to be included. Finally someone at CEVA tracked down the mat a few days later and now it is supposed to be delivered Wed. afternoon. Okay for me as I work at my home , but if I worked a real job I would be a little P.O. that I need to take off yet another day."

"Really impressed with the quality of the treadmill. As close as you will get to "gym quality" without spending 4 grand or more. Make no mistake that the thing is anything but an absolute beast to actually move it in, unbox, and place it...but once that is accomplished, the sturdiness, and silky smooth operation of the machine more than warrant all that initial effort..!"

"I received the product I requested, had no trouble putting it together, but I've always been rather mechanically inclined. The only thing I'd say is that the seat makes my butt numb and I don't really see why I have to pay another 25 bucks to be able to ride for more that ten minutes without having an entirely numb undercarriage.

other than that, it's great. and I got the shipment quickly and haven't had any problems so far.

"First let me say the delivery co went out of their way to get the treadmill to me, so that experience was good.
Once my folding treadmill arrived, I found that lifting up the walking surface to fold it is almost impossible. It is incredibly heavy and there is really no assistance from the hydraulics on the unit. I was able to use it for about 1 mile before a loud clanging, thumping sound started. I called and the CS agent indicated that the treadmill was just heavy and that was the way it is - nothing else could be done for this issue. Regarding the thumping, banging noise, he listened to it and told me to stop using the treadmill and service would need to come out. I should receive a call w/in 48 hrs, etc. I never received a call. Two more calls by me and service finally called me back. They cannot come until late next week. So, I have paid nearly $1100 and it will be 3 weeks before I even know if the item works. I would love send it back, but their 60 day return policy might as well not exist. No normal person could re-package a giant treadmill and they would still make me pay for shipping. Why should I have to do this for an item that never actually worked? Regretting this purchase!! Jim in Customer Service is actually very nice, I just do not think he has any power to do anything. Praying that some how this will all turn out OK.
**Update 8/1/14
No one showed up today. I called Service and they said they couldn't reach the Service Tech, but would call me as soon as they reached the Tech. Service called me back at 1:20 PM and said their Tech was having car problems and tried to reschedule me. I indicated this was not acceptable and I needed someone here today. They are supposed to call me back but have not. I also placed another call directly to Smooth Fitness CS and all they could promise was a call to the Service Company. I requested they come and get the machine and give me a refund, but they said that is not something they can do.
I have filed a complaint with the BBB in PA. My next step will be the Attorney General and dispute charges with my CC company. If all else fails, I will file in small claims court.
Smooth could have stopped any of this from happening by fixing the treadmill last week. Or, offering to replace it & set the new one up at no charge. Absolutely no sense of urgency. All I want is a usable treadmill. If they cannot provide that, then they need to come and get it (pack it up) and refund all of my money including the shipping. Please make this right, Smooth Fitness!
**Update 8/15/14
Thankfully this has finally been resolved. I guess there are no service folks in this area so it took the repair company awhile to find someone (craigslist of all places). Peter from 180fitness was terrific and I highly recommend him. My treadmill had a bad front roller. The part came within 3 days and Peter repaired my treadmill this morning. Hopefully I won't have anymore problems for years, but at least I know a great repair man! I feel Smooth has a good product for the price, but cannot recommend a purchase from them until they get their customer service/repair department fixed. A long warranty is only good if they have the people in place to make the repair. I feel this is finally resolved to my satisfaction.
