"The initial installer who set up my elliptical was from a good company but not very experienced in setting up ellipticals - Smooth had to send someone else out to "tweak" the thing as it was inoperable in the condition the first guy left it in. A couple of weeks later, after the second guy came (5 hours later) the elliptical was good - The machine is good and works well. I must admit I had to kinda nag the home office to get them on it, but finally once fully and properly assembled, I love my elliptical."

"Very pleased with the treadmill 8.35. Runs great. Easy to adjust speed and absorbs impact of running very well. Love the warranty, but hope I done use it. Do need to find the Lube for the deck. Can you provide info on how to acquire. "

"Where was this page of reviews when I bought my treadmill? I am so disappointed and disgusted in the customer service and the product overall. I finally got my machine delivered in July and from the very beginning, it did not work in it's full capacity. First the incline failed to work. Then we had to have a tech come out to fix it after the parts were shipped. By the way, we had to call and remind Smooth to send the parts! Finally that got fixed, but the tech noticed the motor was bad. So we then had to wait again for the motor to be fixed. While waiting for a new motor to be sent, the console (computer) stopped working. So we had the tech come out on a Sunday and informed him about the calorie counter not working. He called Smooth to let them know and that's when they stated the console would be sent. We called again a couple days later to confirm and Smooth stated a new one had to first come to their facility and they would ship it right away. We called about 5-6 weeks after hearing nothing and the customer service rep stated, "we JUST got it in today!" yeah, right. The person said it would be shipped out right away. Yeah, right. So we decided to give them some time and after almost two weeks of receiving nothing, not even the UPS email we normally did...we called to have the machine picked up. I can't even get THAT accomplished. I would NEVER recommend Smooth to anyone again. Oh, I failed to mention that in the beginning, I recommended Smooth to my brother who bought a machine. Guess what...his didn't work either!! He finally got his picked up from Smooth but only after several issues. I can't believe this place. If I don't get resolution soon, I will be going to the Better Business Bureau to ensure they are aware of the tremendous debacle with this business. Worst store I have ever had to deal with."

"We finally are satisfied with the repair of our elliptical, but it has been broken for 3 months. We were told the service contract would be extended, but have not received an official guarantee of that. Wondering how we will find someone to fix it after the service contract is over if it has been so difficult for Smooth Fitness to find a repair technician.

"The machine worked for about a month. Then the programs started not working correctly. It would jump around oddly for no reason.
Then about a 2 months ago the electronics stop working. The second attempt to fix it by smooth has failed. So currently have ~$2000 dollar thing sitting my house.
I will never buy from this company ever again. It asked I would say my opinion is buy another brand. I could have bought a $400 machine and when it broke I would have saved $1600.

"I bought this mid June and it is still not working. It is actually the second one as the first was so damaged that I did not accept it. The second one has had multiple problems. I would never buy from them again nor recommend them. "
