"Although Smooth Fitness's website is quite impressive, we had an extremely unsettling experience when we purchased our elliptical. After chatting with a customer service person, we opted to purchase a machine. Within several days, a freight company had called and set up a delivery/assembly date for the following week. At that point, we were quite pleased. On "delivery day", no one showed up with our machine. We made numerous calls and spoke to several people at Smooth Fitness. It was only after some serious conversations that we were "allowed" to speak with a manager. Unfortunately, he was not able to assist us and left us feeling like we were being scammed. Again, it was not until we made our feelings clear to this person that he put us in touch with the guy who finally figured this all out in a timely fashion. All told, we spend THREE weeks going back and forth with Smooth Fitness before our money was refunded. DO NOT PURCHASE EQUIPMENT FROM SMOOTH FITNESS...after reading others' reviews, we are not the first to have these experiences."
"After help on equipment selection from Mark and his team, my wife and I ordered the 8.0 ellipitcal. Machine was delivered and fully assembled for us in a reasonable amount of time. We would not hesitate to order again from Smooth, as their products are professional grade at a sub high end price point."

"Agree with the other comments regarding this company. Wish I had seen these reviews before I placed an order believing the hype from other reviews/website. Ordered a Treadmill 11 Oct 2012, it's 4 Dec 2012 and still no treadmill. As with the other reviewer, today's auto voicemail started off with, "due to financial constraints..." but within a 20 min time period the message changed twice, once to "Our Customer Service and Tech Support are currently closed," and finally back to the original voicemail. Don't bother leaving a message; they are never returned. I did luck out to talk to a rep once and received an email another time only to explain that the item I ordered is in high demand, blah, blah, blah. If I believe the one email I did get my treadmill should be delivered no later than 11 Dec 2012--2 months after my credit card has been charged! The company has until 11 Dec before I file a complaint with my bank to get my money back and possibly take legal action. Worst business ever!"
"Horrible, horrible experience. The absolute worst customer servicde I have ever received. The company is quick to take your order, but then never sends the order! I had to do battle for almost a month to get a status on an order that was repeatedly on back order; and then finally cancelled the order. After it was cancelled, it has been nearly a month and I still do not have my refund! If that is not robbery I don't know what is. RUN AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS."
"Maybe I'm lucky that Smooth Fitness hasn't shipped my treadmill. I ordered a Smooth 7.35 on 9/5/2012 and they immediately charged my credit card and it is now 10/2/2012 and they still haven't shipped the treadmill. At first they responded to my phone calls with excuses about waiting for their shipment...now they only answer with recordings and don't call me back or don't leave a message when they do (thank you caller ID)"
"Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Received elliptical in February and it is clearly a lemon. The electrical panel malfunctioned, no resistance levels, bearing knocked noisily, iPad dock and speakers didn't work etc. It is April and they have yet to fix or replace the machine. They finally sent a repair man last week who agreed the machine needs to be replaced but I have not heard from Smooth. No one answers my calls or responds to my emails. I opened a dispute with my credit card company and they lied and said the problem was solved. Even if your lucky and get a decent machine, don't count on the advertised warranty. Note: Smooth only puts the positive reviews on their website which is false advertising."
