Poor inventory management

"Third time ordering through solid signal where the item was in stock at order time then mysteriously is back ordered for months. Not a great business model."

Fantastic Experience with Solid Signal Rep.

"I was trying to get a new HD DirecTV box to my brothers home, in time for March Madness. In error, the credit card billing information that I put on my original order, didn't match that which solid signal needed, to send my order. They sent me an email promptly on Monday morning, and much to my chagrin, I thought I'd blown my chances at getting this receiver to my brothers home in time.

I call Solid Signal at 2 PM Monday afternoon and upon speaking to a customer service rep by the name of Jason, was ELATED that he not only could help push this order through quicker because I had paid the money to expedite my order, but he went one step further. He put me on a brief hold, and called his manager, who in turn called the department responsible for asking if it were still possible to get this receiver sent out that same day.

He absolutely blew me away with his customer service skills. Not only did he get back on the phone with the good news that they could in fact get this receiver onto the truck that day to be delivered Tuesday, he also gave me a follow up call later that day to let me know it had in fact been registered and was on its way. How awesome is that? I've been in customer service 15+ years, and Jason exemplifies the type of service I expect out of those I manage. Thank you Solid Signal, for making my brother's early 40th Birthday present, and March Madness experience a success.

It's how you deal with problems !

"How a seller deals with problems, client created or of their own making , determines the experience . Obviously if everything works fine it is easy - in my case it went majorly wrong !! In short I had a time deadline to beat and Solid Signal could not advise a ship date in-spite of website on which I ordered indicating immediate availability. After couple days of frustration I connected with Michelle Munn at customer service , when she could not locate the information either we agreed I would cancel the order. With hours I had a full refund. No arguments no drama - Michelle could not have been more pleasant or helpful , she was never defensive and I felt she totally understood my issue. I ordered from an alternate supplier still trying to make my deadline. Unknown to either Michelle or I the main distributor for the product had shipped my order and it arrived ahead of my deadline ! I emailed Michelle and she reprocessed my order so I could pay again - as I now had what I needed ! There are clearly internal issues to be fixed between their distributor and themselves - that's a management job to sort out , but the entire time and on each connection with Michelle her attitude was so good I will check this company ahead of others going forward. ( The alternate I ordered elsewhere - still has not arrived ! )"

Shipping Gotcha

"After purchasing an antenna mount for $368.83 and paying for $17.99 for shipping I was contacted and told the actual shipping would be $180.00. I responded twice telling them that this was no fault of mine and they should honor my purchase. The only response Michelle Munn would give is since I refused to pay for their mistake that my order was being cancelled. Buyer beware with this company "

"Due to my own mistake I needed a quick response from Solid Signal to update the shipping address for my order. Customer Service Rep. Thomas provided timely and effective help in updating my order so that it arrived at the correct address. Thomas was quick with his responses and is easy to work with. "

"Bought an H25-500 Directv receiver. No where on the site does it say it is a refurbished unit. I called and they rep stated "it doesn't say it is new either." None of their products state if they are new or refurbished. If the unit has been reconditioned, it should clearly state it is refurbished. No where in the description, specs, etc. does it state this. I will never purchase from them again."

Great Service and Knowledge

"Worked with Thomas to get my order set up the way I needed it. He was very thorough on explaining what Solid Signal does and what to expect from DirecTV. Everything arrived as ordered. Ordered two receivers one Thomas activated in the shop and the other one I needed to do upon receipt. Called DirecTV and they said one box was good the other was not. Called Thomas and he immediately called DirecTV and straightened things out. You can rely on them to make things good. Wish they had a 24hr service line for call in situations over the weekend and holidays as a starter. "

Quick and painless resolution

"I had a problem in that the web site had wiped out my address etc. as a continuing customer. Just a very quick return phone call from Thomas Mattison corrected everything. It has been a pleasure dealing with Solid Signal and Thomas's help could not have been better. Keep up the great work"

Jason V is a star tech!!!

"I purchased a Directv receiver for my RV from Solid Signal. My initial calls to both Solid Signal and Directv did not resolve my installation challenges. I even had a Directv technician come out. No help at all. After literally hours on the phone, I was frustrated and ready to return the receiver. Then I received a call from Jason V. He was very knowledgeable in RV installation and, within 10 minutes, has my service up and running!!! I am so very grateful to Jason V for his excellent application of knowledge and for recognizing the single setting that prevented successful installation at the very beginning of our conversation. Something that 4 other technicians, over multiple conversations and many wasted hours could not do. Thank you Jason!"

Great Job!

"I was looking for a deep fringe antenna. I used Solid Signal's internet site to help me decide on exactly what was needed. I chose the Winegard HD-8200U. Also ordered an eave mount and premade… cables to speed the process along. When package arrived, I found that the premade cables were not well constructed so I contacted Solid Signal's customer service. When I supplied pictures of the cables Thomas Mattison at Solid Signal quickly agreed to replace them. He was excellent to work with. Unfortunately, I needed cables faster than they could be shipped so I ended up making my own cables. Solid Signal agreed to refund the cost of the cables. Heavy duty mount was very good and easy to install. Antenna was not particularly easy to build, but the instructions were clear and we got it done without too much problem. It is a very large antenna so you need a very solid mount, which we had. Result: SPECTACULAR! The closest local stations were well over 70 miles away and came in rock solid without additional amplification. Several stations came in viewable that were well over 100 miles away. (you wouldn't believe me if I told you how far!) I am very pleased with the whole experience"

persistent customer service

"I bought an antenna and needed cables, etc. in the spring of 2016 for a roof installation. I didn't get around to doing the installation until the fall. When I had trouble receiving local channels, I contacted Solid Signal's customer service. They had me try a preamp, which did not work. They accepted that unit in return and the rep asked me more questions, even zeroing in on my exact location on Google Maps. It was suggested I move the antenna to the other side of the house and try a lower-powered preamp. After following the rep's suggestions, we were able to get all our local channels as well as channels from Syracuse, which is 60 miles away. It took a while to get it working, but we now get dependable TV reception and are very satisfied with the products and help offered by Solid Signal."

"I was not able to find part of a unit in the box. After sending an email to Thomas, he quickly advised me that the unit was part was already attached to another item in the kit.
