"I ordered several items from Soma. I sent over half of them back. The quality that was once the hallmark of Soma has been declining over the last couple of years. I ordered a cardigan this year to replace one I got from there 3 years ago. The quality of the new cardigan was terrible. The material was thinner and the stitching was not as good. I've gone from ONLY wearing Soma **** to NEVER ordering them from Soma again. The last two times I ordered Soma ****, at least 2 of the 5 pairs developed holes after the first wear and wash. That's unacceptable. I wish they would step it back up."

"I gave Soma a try because a good friend said she had finally found a bra that was actually comfortable, and it came from Soma. Because of the pandemic, I chose to use the online measurement guide, rather than entering a physical store. The size suggested seemed odd, but I trusted it and ordered.
When the bras arrived, they fit "sort of," but seemed (as I had suspected they would) generally too large, more so in the gapping of the cup than in the band. They would be ok if I was standing, but the moment I sat down it created a horrible space, forcing the bra itself to protrude at the top. I went back online and used the chat to "speak with a style expert." No one ever answered the chat. I left a message for someone to call me. No one ever did.
A few days later I tried again and finally got someone in the chat window. After explaining how the bra felt and in which places it seemed close to fitting, her only idea was a different size but in the same bra style. I took her suggestion and called customer service so, in her words, they could immediately assist with the return and make the exchange to the new size at the same time. No one answered the phone.
I went online, began taking steps to just return the bras and assume I would eventually get credit, and to order the new size. Keep in mind that returns cost $7.00 for handling fees. When the bras came, I couldn't even get them on they were so small.
So, once again, I filled out the exchange form and thought I would try the size that was basically in between the first order and the second order. Weeks went by. I checked the status online several times, and I heard nothing from either the return or the exchange. Finally, I get an email confirming the returns had been received. Then I get this notice to review my experience with Soma. I decided to wait until it all played out to do so.
A couple of weeks more and I get an email saying the exchange bras for the second order I made had shipped. (Still no word on the first order I returned.) Eagerly I watched the information online to see when I might get this third, and hopefully, correct and beautiful order of bras. About a week later I get two emails with the subject "Order Cancelled, (details inside." Both emails were blank. The information in my account online says the same. No explanation, no real communication, still no bras, and waiting to see if money ever appears back on my credit card.
I am six weeks into this and three attempts to get bras. Soma is obviously not the brand for me."

Several days later I placed another order for the same pjs in size L. These were Christmas presents to be worn together for a family occasion. I received the XL and the L just in time..... however, the M was not sent......I received another XL yesterday! I placed a phone call to customer service last week regarding where the M was.....(it’s been a month since I ordered it). Was told it was in the mail (that’s the other XL YOU SENT ME). I have spent over an hour on hold....I was going to ask for an exchange, however, now I want a REFUND! I will not order on line from you any longer! I’m on hold at this very moment to your customer service! I was told the last time I talked to Sean in customer service that y’all had had a very rough year! Geez! "
