"I've always been a big fan of Sonic Electronix until this recent purchase, and here is why. I ordered an Inifinty Basslink enclosure and amplifier wiring kit from them over the phone. After installing the Basslink I was not happy with the sound or performance so I returned it expecting a full refund as store credit, as they advertise no restocking fees on their Return Policy page. However I was wrong as they do charge a 10% fee for any item that is deemed installed. My fault for not reading the fine letter print. Just beware of this before making a purchase based on this policy. They actually lost out on more business from me since I purchased an amplifier else where do to receiving a reduced store credit. I could see a 10% fee if I asked for a refund, but that wasn't the case. Regardless they provide pretty good customer service and free shipping. "

"My name is Nate. My Exterra's cd/tape player burnt out so i ordered the Pyle PLR15MUA deck from SonicElectronix. Their website listed that it had; a detatchable face, a touchscreen display, and a remote. It came with none of the above. It has a USB port so i tried a first and fourth generation ipod with a brand new USB cord and both said "cannot read device" so i tried a brand new Iphone and it read the same thing. Since it has a SD card slot i put 5 songs(mp3) on a 2GB SD card and tried to insert it....it barely fits in, and once it was in it read the same error message, then i couldn't get the card out. The last option is the 8th inch input so i bought a little 1ft cord and the input isn't even solid. Every time i turn a corner it makes a scratchy sound.
It came with a free installation kit....but it left a half inch gap in my dash both above the deck and below.
I know it was a 35 dollar deck, so my expectations weren't high....but i feel like this was COMPLETELY false advertising.
When i called their 800 number with my complaints they offered me a $10 discount off of my next order....yeah right...."
